NPR Deletes Comments After Determining That Its Commenters Are Too Old and Male

Yeah I've been thinking about doing that here but I'd have to delete myself.

Actually I might do it anyway.

But Jensen indicated that diversity issue also played a role in the decision. NPR commenters don’t reflect the demographics of the site’s readers, since they appear more likely to be older men.

“They overwhelmingly comment via the desktop (younger users tend to find NPR.org via mobile), and a Google estimate suggested that the commenters were 83 percent male, while overall NPR.org users were just 52 percent male,” Jensen said, citing NPR Digital News Managing Editor Scott Montgomery.

Henceforth, NPR will use social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for reader engagement, which will hopefully be more demographically diverse.

What are you motherf*ckers going to do about the fact that only wealthy white people listen to NPR?

NPR, that bastion of liberal thought, is coming up with a bullshit way to decide that anonymous words on a screen are being penned by white men?

1) Too many jerks and scumbags out there who love to post
2) Too many people outside their ideological fold who post, ruining everything with thoughts they hadn't considered or been able to avoid to this point
3) Related to 1: some can post stuff that gets you in trouble, which means you have to police the comments very closely.

In essence, a combination of jerks and uncontrolled badthink is making the experiment very disappointing.

SJWs are whining about the impending release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided next week. Apparently the fact that players are confronted with moral choices, and can pick "immoral" ones, is causing SJWs to get the vapors.

Of course, this is after earlier complaints about ads for the game that co-opted Black Lives Matter.

In any event, since the game releases next week, it's too late to do anything about the complaints. And that assumes that Square- Enix is even inclined to do so. It's a Japanese company, and the Japanese tend to be inclined to ignore SJW whining.

138 Libs have an aesthetic sense that they mistake for a moral imperative.

Ie., a scene doesn't "look right" to them unless it contains X% blacks, X% whites, X% women, X% men, X% asians, etc. But then they conclude some injustice is taking place if the scene does not conform to that aesthetic.

Me, I don't get it. I can watch a classic movie where the whole cast is white and not even think about "diversity" at all, whereas most instances of diversity in modern movies seem artificial and forced.

This was a gal with a gorgeous voice I'd heard many times. She was also one of the ugliest women I've ever seen, but purposely ugly. Shaved-stubble head (and not because she's sick, which of course would be understandable), UNshaven legs, somewhat overweight with no bra--those girls were pointing right at her shoes.

Actually, a couple years back we had a now-ex state senator get busted for trying to hook up with an underaged boy. I forget how the texting started, but the kid got totally creeped out and went to the cops who proceeded to set him up. It was hilarious. "No, ossifer, really, I always just happen to have condoms and sachets of lube in the car. I'm totally not here to bugger a 15 yr old...."

257 >>>200 did they explain how they knew what sex or color commenters were?

They used data from Google. All those cookies and tracking of your personal browsing habits. Google told NPR that the commenters were fans of stereotypical white male things.

That's why I always make sure to visit the nastiest pron sites immediately before posting here. So pixy knows we are perverts.

262 Except real change comes in the other direction: bottom up.

Yes and no. Many of the changes we're experiencing lately have been top-down impositions: let trannies in your changing room, homosexual marriage, etc. Then, culture gets used to it and goes "well its been like this for years, and my house didnt collapse, lets leave it"

263 Ryan Lochte is the dumbest fucking white man alive. I knew the robbery story was bullshit the minute I heard he was involved. I just figured that they had their money stolen by a tranny hooker or something embarrassing though.

264 "Question: if the Democratic Party became really openly anti-white, would it matter to white Democrats?"

Yes, but not if no one brings it up.

We now have weekly race riots and a Democrat Party pandering to black power extremists. And the GOP is...silent.

If nothing else, Trump is smart enough to note this. See Powerline: "The Trump Speech that will Win Him the Presidency." (with major caveats)

265 Libs have an aesthetic sense that they mistake for a moral imperative.

Ie., a scene doesn't "look right" to them unless it contains X% blacks, X% whites, X% women, X% men, X% asians, etc. But then they conclude some injustice is taking place if the scene does not conform to that aesthetic.

Except for the neighborhoods they live in or the schools their children attend.
The successful liberals around here wouldn't get caught dead sending their children to a school that was truly integrated.

All those super rich actors and entertainment industry types? If they really wanted to do something to help low income black kids, they could give scholarships to the private schools their own children attend. You know, so that ghetto minorities make up 25% of the school enrollment.

266 I miss the old all-classical station. "Sleepers Awake" was my favorite program. Now we only get classical until 6:00.
======================

There's always WCPE's theclassicalstation.org online

Slacker also has a good selection of classical music channels, but they don't play the complete longer works, just a single movement.

268 Many of the changes we're experiencing lately have been top-down impositions: let trannies in your changing room, homosexual marriage, etc.

But I think that by the time they were imposed, the cultural battle had already been lost. We know this because Democrats will suffer very little if at all because of these acts. If you notice, Democrats are asked to make very few difficult votes by their base. The base makes it politically safe for the Dems to vote. (Obama was allowed to wait until gay marriage was safe before he supported it.) Our side constantly demands the GOP to cast votes with massive downsides, which politicians rarely do.

270 I've known one person that was a pretty devoted NPR listener. Accord to this douche, Fox was solely responsible for the hate/ political partisanship in the country. He was also my boss, so I kept my mouth shut for the most part aside from a quick jab about the leftist media as a whole. According to this guy, NPR was straight up.

One day out of nowhere they escorted him out. Everyone was pretty shocked. Found out recently through a very solid source that he was fired for pissing dirty.

Lol, your brain on drugs.
