8 But while the establishment of the new group, Our Revolution, has been eagerly awaited by many of his most ardent supporters, it has been met with criticism and controversy over its financing and management.

A principal concern among backers of Mr. Sanders, whose condemnation of the campaign finance system was a pillar of his presidential bid, is that the group can draw from the same pool of "dark money" that Mr. Sanders condemned for lacking transparency.

Rickles was just a wild guess. He was the only celeb not in the movie, I guess.

From what I've read, the role of Mrs. Marcus (played by the hilariously shrewish Ethel Merman) was originally offered as Mister Marcus to. . .Groucho Marx.

Who asked for too much money.

So the role was recast.

I, of course, am in favor of that. But since I was a little kid I never understood why a painting of a breast was classic but a photograph of one was wrong.

When police arrived at the home, they found the severed hand and took several pictures of it before Detective Glenn Deist drove it to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem so surgeons could try to reattach it, according to Northampton County Court records.

It's a bundle of sticks around an axe -- a fasces. Used by the Romans to indicate the presence of a consul, later an emperor. Symbolize strength through unity, with the promise of violence from the axe.

Root of the word "fascist".

Compare "strength through unity" to Clinton's "Stinger Together" slogan. I'm sure it's innocent, despite her admiration for the fascism-loving Progressives.

An "aftershock" is a bona fide earthquake.

It's just that typically, the largest seismic shock is the initial one, and it does the most damage to to its size, and due to surprise.

The aftershocks are usually of smaller magnitude. But people still get hurt by them. Often as bricks and cornices and whatnot, loosened by the initial shock, get shaken loose and fall.

71 Speaking from experience, aftershocks are worse because you *know* one is going to come fairly soon but you don't know exactly *when.* Plus you're already on edge from having gone through the main event, so it's a few weeks where you are in dire need of chemical intervention to be able to relax.

75 Also, aftershocks can be:

(a) More of the same displacement which resulted in the initial shock, where fault A that slipped for distance B proceeds to then slip again for some further fraction of B, or,

(b) Settling and shifting and groaning as the earth accommodates to stuff being in places that it hadn't been previously.

New concerns arise about the mental health of students on college campuses all across the country.

Dr. Gene Beresin, a psychiatrist and Executive Director of The Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds at Massachusetts General Hospital, says 50% to 60% of college students have a psychiatric disorder.

"What I'm including in that is the use of substances, anxiety, depression, problems with relationships, break-ups, academic problems, learning disabilities, attentional problems," says Dr. Beresin. "If you add them all up 50% doesn't seem that high."

94 Morning Horde. Screwed over by Obamacare again. Insurance company pulling out of individual plans because of cost of the ACA. Second time it's happened to me. Sick of it. At an age where I need insurance. Met my $6000 deductible this year in April due to a cancer scare and digestive issues.
Looking at the Christian Healthcare options:
Samaritan Ministries
Christian Health Care Ministries
Christian Medi-Share
CMF CURO
Anyone know anything about them or anyone using them?
Not really insurance but they are ACA approved.
By the time I meet a $6000 deductible and pay $600+ in premiums/month I'm paying out the wazoo.

Kaplan's design was for a device that a person could easily stick into one's thigh, prompting a spring-loaded mechanism to push a needle containing life-saving medicine into the user's bloodstream.

Kaplan's invention became known as the ComboPen, and was initially used by the Pentagon before becoming available for use by the general public several years later as the EpiPen. However, Kaplan left Survival Technology, Incorporated shortly after creating the EpiPen to become a biochemical engineer, and didn't follow the success of his invention. I needed an MRI at one point. If I had walked in to the imaging clinic, had the MRI, and then said, "Right, how much do I owe you," they would have handed me a bill for $5K. The hugely inflated number they give to the insurance companies as a starting point in negotiations.

But instead calling up and saying, "How much if I pay cash on the barrelhead in advance," netted out the same MRI at $350. Same machine. Same technician. Same clinic.

But then she puts the wedge in at Breitbart ... where Michelle Fields and Megyn already drew a battle line.

Maybe it was also to keep "her Dem owned" minorities in line, but clearly she saw the battle line at Breitbart, where they feel there is already that schism.

But it is a matter of labeling and narrative. The Trump narrative is not race, but America First versus Globalist, and We the People versus Establishment Donor class.

They aren't in it for the money. They are in it for the propaganda value. They are supported by the channels that people want to watch, since the advertising is bundled.

In fact, they don't really care if the channel craters and burns to the ground. The people in charge of the propaganda have shown themselves to disdain sports and hate the fans.

So, win-win!

173 >>>>>In 1973, when Kaplan was finalizing the design concept for the EpiPen,
he was approached by the U.S. Department of Defense, which was looking
for a device that could quickly inject an easily deliverable antidote
for nerve gas. Kaplan's design was for a device that a person could
easily stick into one's thigh, prompting a spring-loaded mechanism to
push a needle containing life-saving medicine into the user's

Kaplan's invention became known as the ComboPen, and was initially
used by the Pentagon before becoming available for use by the general
public several years later as the EpiPen. However, Kaplan left Survival

biochemical engineer, and didn't follow the success of his invention. He

203 So, I turned on Fox and Friend's this morning to see what might be happening in the world while I sipped coffee and Kilmeade and co. were fainting over how low the discourse is now between the two presidential candidates. Kilmeade cried out that Hillary is NOT a bigot and neither is Trump and they should get back to talking about the important issues...

So I turned on Fox business and lo, they were interviewing someone regarding Trump and Hillary.

I passed quickly by MSNBC and went directly to CNN. Yep, Trump calls HIllary a bigot was being hysterically debated by a couple people . mmm, maybe Headline news? Newsbabe was standing in her short dress and heels, with elbow leaning on what looked like a bar on the news set and was cackling at some video the other newsbabe was showing from Facebook.

Went back to Fox and Friends, and I kid you not, they had a segment on in which someone was describing and demonstrating which wines should be paired with Hillary or Trump.

Posted by: JEM at August 26, 2016 10:43 AM (o+SC1)

It's not bad debt. The insurance companies sit down every year with every health provider and negotiates what they will actually pay out of the charges.

Say charge is $100. Insurance company says if you want to be a provider through us, we will pay $60. If you agree to be in network, you get $60 and we will drive patients to you because we will lower their out of pocket costs if they go to someone "in network" by not charging them anything above their deductible.
IF you don't want to accept that amount, then we will still only pay you $40, but you'll have to try to get the remaining $20 out of the patient. Because that will be an out of pocket cost for them and they aren't as likely to come to you anymore because they have to pay more.

The $100 is what they charge someone without insurance or who has insurance that the provider doesn't participate with, etc.

The write offs are considered discounts for doing business with insurance companies. I do not believe the health care practitioners go to the IRS and claim that this is bad debt. I believe it is record keeping for insurance regulators, etc.

The entire insurance debacle is a farce. Started because of FDR's price controls and then piled into a giant mess by unions who demanded their members get free health care for life, free vision care for life, free dental care for life, etc. And the cost of all those benefits drove everything through the roof, until now I don't know how in the world it will ever be unraveled with out a full collapse of the health care system.
