Donald needs message discipline; the hive mind is swarming on this Khan thing like flies on shit.
1. Inquire about the military status of the Clinton/Obama familes who together have sent how many other people's kids to war? 2. Publicly compare the media treatment of Patricia Smith and the Kahn Family, and the other family members of people who died becuase of Obama/Clinton policies. 3. Say that one of the things the Kahn's son died for was the freedom of speech, including the freedom to disagree and the right to be left alone, both of which rights are threatened by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic party. HRC and the Dems rig systems via the DOJ, punish political enemies via the IRS, and over regulates/interferes with every endeavor from insurance to education to private enterprise and healthcare to local zoning. 3. Note that most of the media are in the tank for the Dems and ask each interviewer if they have interviewed Patricia Smith or the other families. Ask them why they have unequal coverage. l Posted by: vivi at August 02, 2016 08:00 AM (11H2y) 39

Unfortunately those 14 Miami zika cases are from mosquito transmission, and it is only going to get worse here in the US. Our first case of zika was reported in Harrison County, MS yesterday. It was acquired by someone who traveled to Honduras.
As more people have it, the chances of a mosquito biting then transmitting it keep climbing. To make it worse, it gets into semen and so can be sexually transmitted too. And a lot of people won't even know they have it since it can present as a mild case of the flu or even asymptomatically. Basically, we're screwed. We will need a vaccine. Posted by: MTF at August 02, 2016 08:16 AM (/m8T6) The problem is the corrupt DOJ coming in. They hit every State that passed those photo ID laws just before last election. And it takes months to get the ruling reversed going up the court chain. But meanwhile they get "one more election" with fraud ability. Why not, it costs them nothing. Even when the State countersues like SC did to recover costs the taxpayers are the only ones held accountable. I think people are just wanting more of a strategy from Trump. Right now, it's him reacting to what people say about him either at his cheering rallies or via his Twitter account.
Right now, between the Putin/Trump and Khan/Trump stories, he's totes in defensive mode. Here's an idea: Ignore the negative unless it's damning. Instead, change the narrative. They talk about your Putin comment, you talk about Hillary making 400K a speech from Goldman. They talk about Khan, you talk about Hillary arming ISIS, which is no different than Obama arming Mexican cartels. Why are they arming our enemies? Stop play defense! I'm probably the only one brave enough to read the head lice link (first "parenting is tough" link), but I disagree with their premise about what works and what doesn't to get rid of them. I do believe that there are treatment-resistant lice, but having suffered through it with two of my daughters (both with long, thick, curly hair), I hated using the toxic chemicals anyway.
What worked for us the best was what was recommended by my pediatrician. Smear gobs of mayo into their hair before bed. Wrap hair with plastic wrap. Tell the kid to quit complaining about the smell of mayo because do you want to get rid of these lice or don't you? In the morning, wash their hair with baby shampoo and rinse with copious amounts of rubbing alcohol. Follow with copious amounts of conditioner; don't rinse it all out. Then settle down with a lice comb (not the one in the pic - you need one with the teeth spaced more closely together) and spend 1.5 - 2 hours combing through their hair, a few strands at a time. Dip the comb into a glass of rubbing alcohol after each pass. After the first mayo treatment, you don't have to do that again. But you do have to do the comb-out, every single day, until you find no more nits. Every. single. day. And then you tell your daughter not to let anyone else wear her hat again, ever. I meant that the "outrage" against Trump about the Khan situation will pass; in a couple weeks people won't remember this. The death of Khan's son doesn't obviate Trump's call for a moratorium on Islamic immigration from compromised countries; there's no need to reconcile one with the other, though Clinton and her kneecappers want unintelligent types to think they must be reconciled. He's proposing a strategic solution to a problem; they're trying to counter a national solution with a single tragedy. Typically stupid. Posted by: General Zod at August 02, 2016 08:34 AM (Bdeb0) 117

A Syrian rescue service operating in rebel-held territory said on Tuesday a helicopter dropped containers of toxic gas overnight on a town close to where a Russian military helicopter was shot down hours earlier.
A spokesman for Syria Civil Defence told Reuters that 33 people, mostly women and children, were affected by the gas in Saraqeb. The group, which describes itself as a neutral band of search and rescue volunteers, posted a video on YouTube purportedly showing a number of men struggling to breathe and being given oxygen masks by people in civil defence uniforms. Syria Civil Defense workers, who went to the scene of the attack, said they suspected it was chlorine but could not verify that. "Medium-sized barrels fell containing toxic gasses. The Syrian Civil Defense was not able to determine the type of the gas," said the spokesman. Posted by: Nevergiveup at August 02, 2016 08:39 AM (zp+j1) 130

Just hoping for some honest discussion re: Trump's strategy. I do think it could be better, (far more offense, far less defense). Hillary is ripe for being attacked on so many fronts, yet the story is Trump saying something about Khan. Trump needs to say something almost outrageous about Hillary (I like the devil comment) which makes the media get the vapors, in which they inadvertently put Trump's message out for him.

But people who pay attention know there is only one party and that is the republican/democrat Uniparty. Also it is crazy that Trump pulls in 1000's at every stop yet Hillary, Bill, and Kaine have to hire people and get highachool students to break 100. It is sad when Hillary and the Uniparty has to bully a Fireman and the mayor in Columbus Ohio into locking out 1000's of Trump voters, illegally, for a rally because Hillary can't draw two dozen. While I salute the gallantry and sacrifice of Captain Kahn, if Hillary and Obama weren't running guns to ISIS, we wouldn't have to salute the gallantry and sacrifice of Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith and the others as well as the wholesale slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent people that Hilary and Obama's incompetence and criminality caused in the first place. And by the way, how in the world are you even here, as a so-called journalist when you spent eight years in the Clinton White House as chief of staff, helping to cover up all of Bill Clinton's sexual assaults and other scandals?! The Knesset has passed, for its second and third reading, an amendment to the Firearms Law which would allow all soldiers who finish their military service to get a gun license, even if they're released before they turn 21, the minimum age for firearms licenses. The amendment, initiated by MK Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid), would mostly affect women, as their standard draft of two years has them out of the army while they are still too young to apply for a gun license. The previous legal situation blocked women from many professional fields that require gun licenses, such as security, where newly-released soldiers are in high demand. After the amendment, newly released soldiers of any age will be immediately allowed to apply for a gun license. Posted by: Nevergiveup at August 02, 2016 09:46 AM (zp+j1) 296

Bingo. Worse still: it's an unforced error which Trump was easily goaded into. Khan was bait. Simple, obvious bait which should have been discreetly ignored. Trump not only took that bait, he took it hook, line, and sinker. Hell, he took the rod and the boat and the boat trailer. And he's given Lyin' Ryan and Bitch McConnell grounds to *again* acidly criticize their own party's Presidential nominee in public over his blustering logorrhea, which both of them have now done. The economy will collapse, or jihad will come to Middle America, or minorities will Recreate SixtyEight - or a ton of other shit I haven't thought of. In the long run, it doesn't matter if Hillary! wins. Might make the transition to What Happens Next come quicker. Whatever That Is might not be any better. But I, for one, would like to see it. Terminally ill 8-year-old made Honorary Marine at Pendleton ceremony
A day after becoming an Honorary Marine, 8-year-old Wyatt Gillette passed away Sunday morning. Gillette received his Eagle, Globe and Anchor as well as a smart salute Saturday at Camp Pendleton, California. Both Gillettes father and mother were with him at the School of Infantry-West Parade Deck. His father, Staff Sgt. Jeremiah Gillette, confirmed Sunday that the boy had died. The elder Gillette is a drill instructor with 2nd Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. Gillettes family is asking for donations to cover funeral expenses. Those interested can contribute online. Marine Corps Commandant Gen. Robert Neller approved Gillette as an Honorary Marine just days after a petition was posted online asking him to bestow the honor on the young boy, who was born on Aug. 15, 2008, and diagnosed four years later with Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome Type 1 (Trex 1 Mutation), a rare genetic disorder. Instead of bitching and moaning here about all of Trump's failings, whether real or imagined....Better to go out and talk to your friends, family, and aquantances and remind them of what is at stake in this Election

FBI spy - they caught him after 20 years; i wonder how many more are sitting there. I wonder if the latest push to find clinton's/dnc hackers uncovered this guy. If dnc would not have so publicly embarrassed, they would not even bother looking at their personnel ?

Libya is one of the most disastrous foreign policy decisions ever. Britain and France are mostly to blame and as usual , the false accusations the Left / Dems makes against the Right is exactly what the Left actually does. Britain and France brought along the willing Obama lapdog to do their dirty work . We had corralled Ghaddafi who was fighting the terrorists for his own purposes but it also served our purposes. The humanitarian excuse to take him out was the most obvious lie I've seen a government do in sometime. Libya was the real War for Oil. That it came back to bite them in the ass would be delicious if it didn't also effect me and other innocent citizens. I hope they choke on their greed and stupidity.

And he's given Lyin' Ryan and Bitch McConnell grounds to *again* acidly criticize their own party's Presidential nominee in public over his blustering logorrhea, which both of them have now done. Second-order damage. Third-order damage. The gift that keeps on giving.
You NEVER criticize your side. You back to the hilt, or you "no comment". Criticizing your side allows YOU to be criticized by your side. And very few "R's" can run as a lone wolf. Posted by: rickb223 TEXIT at August 02, 2016 10:01 AM (hgso/) 328
The polls in Britain definitively proved that Brexit would lose. Except they were wrong. Worst poll was off by 14 points.
The media smear mode will continue until election day, trump-shaming voters to lie to pollsters. Trump has *the* issue, immigration, that is the one that the overwhelming majority of voters want tamed. Posted by: free range sort of conservative at August 02, 2016 10:02 AM (ZnIt3) 329

Posted by: torquewrench at August 02, 2016 09:54 AM (noWW6) he is adjusting based on circumstances. i think he is doing well, better than people realize, better than expected. he is leading in Pennsylvania and Ohio. last time republicans won PA in a presidential contest was 30(?) year ago. My point is, this is just noise right now - khan, clinton's bounce. dem convention was their last best chance to remake her terrible image. they are trying to capitalize, but... lipstick on a pig... People keep saying the Khan thing is an "unforced error".
Bullshit. The democrats put Khan on and Trump fought back. First we had a republican who wouldn't stick up for himself, then we had two successive candidates who wouldn't fight. We all bitched about that. Now, we've got someone who won't back down. I'm glad. Trump isn't losing any voters over this and he'll probably pick some up. The liberals are having their field day, we'll have ours. Fuck those weak pricks riding along as elected officials in the republican party who are running away from Trump. We'll deal with those later. Posted by: jwest at August 02, 2016 10:08 AM (Zs4uk) Posted by: ScoggDog at August 02, 2016 10:15 AM (RKJF2) 337
