1 Good Morning.

2 Yes, deadly shooting in Austin, black lives don't matter as long as blacks are taking them.

3 Rough in DC, they are back to wiping their asses with barbed wire-wound corncobs. Again, black lives don't matter as long as blacks are killing them.

4 The left, but the media especially, is sucking as much mileage out of the story of the Muslim father's outrage toward Trump.

From what little I have just scratched the surface on, it appears there might be a whole lot more to the story than either the left, or the media would like to have come out. If it does manage to come out, and it certainly looks like it will, this whole thing could wind up being much more of an embarrassment for the left and the media than it is for Trump.

5 Also, isn't DC the city with the massive and illegal gun control laws?

Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at August 01, 2016 07:51 AM (mpXpK)

6 Absolutely infuriating...

John McLaughlin, former CIA director on CSPAN this morning talking about the worries of briefing Trump with secrets.

Not one mention of Hillary being found "grossly negligent" handling sensitive material.

Unfuckingbelieveable.

Something that's especially prevalent on websites run by old-school news organizations, LA Times is one of the worst, which passive-aggressively only shows you a few lines of the story on-screen at a time. Like they resent having your read their content online rather than buying a newspaper.

Posted by: IllTemperedCur at August 01, 2016 07:59 AM (LuZz8)

19 All "news" headlines on Comcast homepage about Trump are negative on their face.

No - as in zero - news stories about FAB. I suppose that's one way to avoid having to report negative news - don't.

21 The US was always a contract which existed only as much as everyone living here agreed to abide by the common rules of the contract. Lately, it seems more and more like Democrats are saying that they will not abide by the contract unless they win.

I had an argument with my uncle several years ago where I kept trying to hammer on him (he is very much a convenience liberal) about how fragile all of the things around us are and how it depends on certain things being true. I kept trying to tell him he would be surprised about how quickly the tides can turn and everything goes to Hell from a seemingly innocuous event.

Triple plays are rare enough, the combinations aren't always what we might ordinarily think. I didn't see this one, but generally the ones I have seen tend to involve baserunners behaving stupidly, and NOT spectacular plays by the fielders.

30 Let's be honest about the "Black Lives Matter" concept, and leave aside the racist movement for a moment.

The reason it has emerged is because in Obama's America, in the large cities that are the exclusive realm of Democrats, many black people have figured out, to the governments they are largely responsible for electing, they don't.

Matter, that is. The frustration and anger are real, and needless to say they are pointing fingers other than themselves, which means the problems that plague black people in America will perpetuate, until they figure out how to fix their lives themselves.

Yes, black lives matter. I wish they could see that.

41 I spent the weekend in DC, didn't realize the shooting spree was going on, since I was in the NW part of the city....So much new building going on, cranes up everywhere, in parts of the city whole blocks of new apartment buildings going up...Must be the dollars from all the government workers wanting to live in the city....Got to be the hot bed of the country for construction of new buildings...but won't ever want to live in such a place, love the open spaces of the country! So much new construction, and don't see any (or hardly any grocery stores) but I guess highly paid government workers just eat out all the time....

43 It's only because the progressives embrace BLM and Occupy and the like that leftist voters think the Democrat Party deserve their support. These activists get speaking slots at conventions and publicity from the lefty MSM, but they confuse that superficial support with actual support.

The Progs and the Democrats generally do nothing to support them, and actively do not care about the death toll in their sinecure cities. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel does not give a shit so many people are being murdered.

Uniparty political control is all about kabuki and nothing about actual response to voter concerns, like murder in the streets, economic deprivation, and popular anger at porous borders.

So what happens when some of these deleted e-mails now surface? Especially after MSM has framed the issue as Trump being at fault for making a joke about it.

72 According to the government, a total of 13 Muslim-Americans have been killed in combat for the U.S.

Compare that to the THOUSANDS of innocent Americans who have been murdered by Muslim immigrants (or, in the case of Ft. Hood and Orlando, by the Muslim spawn of Muslim immigrants) in terrorist attacks on U.S. soil in the last two decades.

The U.S. constitution, despite Khan's wagging of it in front of the cameras, contains nothing that requires the U.S. to admit unlimited numbers of foreign Muslims to our country.

And as a matter of voluntary public policy, admitting unlimited numbers of foreign Muslims is obviously stupid, dangerous, and contrary to the best interests of the American people -- as 9/11, Boston Marathon, Ft. Hood, Chattanooga, San Bernardino, Orlando, and many other terrorist attacks by Muslims on our soil have shown.

75 I know I will be called a bigot and a racist for
saying this, but almost every Muslim is one step removed from the Muslim
Brotherhood and and radical islam. It is what the whole religion is
about. It is NOT about love and peace...to be honest most religions are
not...but Christianity and Judaism has grown out of that mostly.

Exactly. It's like the Junior Debate Team out there. Any old line is good enough to cover. "So's your old man" is the order of the day. You know a Dem has surrendered the argument when they go to, "Oh well, all politicians are crooked." This is their way of saying discussion over, let's move on...to the next talkpoint.

79 Our debit cards were set to expire on 7/31/16. My credit union mailed the new cards to us a couple of weeks ago, but I put them in my "to do" pile and forgot about them. Just happened to make a purchase on Amazon last night, and they reminded me that my card was about to expire---thanks, Amazon! So I immediately called and activated the cards. Whew! That was close! So then, like all security-conscious Americans, I padded off to the shredder and promptly shredded.......the new cards.

85 Other than not asking about the 33,000 deleted e-mails, Wallace asked some questions.

Hillary lied to Wallace when she said that Coemy said that she was "truthful" and he called it on her.

What may get lost is that her other responses were genuinely scary. A President Hillary would appoint SCOTUS judges to overturn decisions like Heller and Citizens United, which we knew. But if Congress didn't give her comprehensive immigration reform she'd do it by executive order and then get it upheld with a new SCOTUS appointment. Holy separation of powers Batman!

When asked about how continuing Obama's policies would help an already stagnant economy, she said that she wanted public private partnerships in infrastructure seeded with federal dollars. Holy crony capitalism Batman!

Oddly, a pet pig has taken up residence down at the corner. Has a little lair of hay-bales, under an evergreen tree. Apparently there have been no major complaints since he's been there several months. 109 Not surprisingly, as it turns out the father of the dead Muslim soldier is a sharia lover. As a matter of fact, given what we know about Obama/Dems it was almost a given. Of the 14 possibilities ,they had to pick one that would be in-your-face racist America. There weren't any in that group that had moderate or non-religious parents? Dems had to find one that would be most offensive to the rest of the country and just dare them to say something.

BTW, if Jeb (or most of the others had been the nominee) they would be bending over backwards to honor the Muslim soldier and the loss of his parents, maybe calling for a statue to Muslim soldiers in DC or some such BS.

120 For those who care about such things, I just received my renewed Fairfax County VA CHP yesterday.

I was comparing notes with a friend who lives in neighboring Loudoun County. Fairfax requires me to send two copies of the application, two copies of my permit card, and a SASE along with the statutory maximum $50 fee (not sure what the fee is covering if they can't photocopy the application or put a stamp on an envelope to mail me my permit), which must be paid either by a cashier's/certified check or a money order. You also must have it notarized even if you file it in person. The Clerk's office is also notoriously fussy - if there's a question that isn't applicable, you can't just leave it blank...you have to put in N/A otherwise they'll call the application "incomplete" and make you file it again. Turnaround time from when I sent in the package to getting my permit: 30 days.

Loudoun County charges $40.50, you only need to send in the application (no copies or SASE), no notary required if you're filing in person, and the turnaround time for my buddy was just under two weeks.

Two Americas.

_____________

Shoebat is the former MB member who was pointing out a couple of weeks ago that there have been at least FOUR large passenger planes that have deliberately been crashed into water by Muslim pilots seeking instant martyrdom.

Two were Egypt Air flights, one was an Indonesian Air flight, and the most recent was that Malaysian Air flight (where the pilot had been practicing a water landing -- in the middle of the Indian Ocean -- on his simulator at home). The Egypt Air flight that crashed into the Atlantic off the coast of MA in 1999 killed over 200 people. The NTSB investigated and ruled it pilot suicide. (The co-pilot locked out the pilot when he went to take a leak, then turned off the auto-pilot and began repeating "I rely on allah" over and over as he lowered the plane into the ocean.") In the case of the Indonesian flight, the CVR tape also revealed the pilot talking about allah as he deliberately crashed the plane into the water).

Shoebat says that Muslim imams routinely teach MB recruits that drowning is one of the best ways for a Muslim to die, as it ensures instant martyrdom.

Four large passenger jets, each with hundreds of people on board, deliberately downed in seas by Muslim pilots seeking martyrdom.

You'd think that would be a pretty big news story. Instead, we get crickets from the MSM about all these murders. But we do get non-stop coverage all weekend of some hateful Muslim lawyer and Dim shill screaming about how its "unconstitutional" for Trump to suggest limiting Muslim immigration to the U.S.

although the news was rather sad

all the old folks stay at home
telling tall tales of what used to be

I saw a film today, oh dear

So now I sit and wait
having accepted my fate
knowing that one day we'll be done

Had to go to the local news to see it was a black guy who shot 3 black women. Guess that doesn't fit the #narrative.

143 enraged families of fallen military are demanding an apology from Trump
--------------------

Hillary is the outrage here, using the dead body of a US Soldier to advance her lust for political power that she will use to enrich herself. She is using this story to attack Trump who had nothing to do with it, and it was Hillary and Obama who abandoned these men at Bengazhi; abandoned them to their fate to protect their own political futures.

People should be outraged at Hillary. Instead, too many people continue to march to the tune the news media plays. That is also an outrage.

Everyone who supports Hillary, or uses this story to attack Trump is as guilty as Hillary, as exploitative, and as shameful. It is really disgusting.

It isn't the people being polled that skews the results. It is the weighting fudge factors they use to "normalize" the numbers that are tilting the polls.

It was "civilians" carrying weapons who kept Whitman pinned down. Pretty high quality shooting, too. When he was taken, it was by one policeman and one armed citizen. I don't see this as irony, but a form of commemoration.

184 This is why in situations like this you have to be willing to aggressively attack your opponents, even if they are useful idiots or people trying to guilt trip you with a sad story.

If I were Trump, I would take this information that has come out and paint Khan as a Sharia supporter. That allows you to then explore what Sharia means for infidels, women, gays, and free speech. I would accuse the Obama administration and Hillary of hanging out with those who believe in sexual segregation, and use Obama's visit to that Mosque some time ago where he gave a speech, while women had to sit in the back. Obama did nothing but praise, and said nothing about the women sitting the back. Hint that Obama approves of this...etc.

Point is attack, attack, attack...Trump at least understands this, but this his chance to really change the narrative to the nature of Sharia law.

Ryan, and his "type" of Republicans, instead dance everything the Democrat party say dance. They don't have the stomach to fight for their party or country. They care more about how people see them, then the truth. I don't care that he is a "gold star" father, I care that the guy is fighting to destroy the hard won freedoms of this country, and using his dead son as a propaganda tool.

Then the gullible join in to help...you know who you are.

.Reuters has admitted they changed their polling practices and went back and applied the new parameters to the old polls which skewed in favor of hillary after the changes, so there is nothing they will not do to make her look good in the polls.

Also they are overstating the Dem turnout with numbers not seen since 2008 when obama first ran, and polling registered voters not likely voters. hillary is not going to repeat those numbers, nor is she going to drive the black vote like obama did, but they are still counting on that happening and injecting that into the polls.

The problem they are having is some of the independent polls like the LA Times and others are actually doing real polling and they show Trump ahead.

The factory closings on the one hand and the welfare checks on the other

At least there is one area of growth in this country, but of course, all the drugs are out-sourced .. to Hispanics .. and not the undocumented kind (they are fully documented in countries other than the US), but at least it's not the Chinese.

But don't forget .. Hillary loved "white trash" so much she married one. Together, they grifted a $200 million net worth. Wonder if Bill will vote for Trump.

Why don't we include a debate in the presidential stakes, of victim vs. victim? Patricia Smith vs. that Khan guy? Ambushed police widow vs. ambushed Dindo Nuffin mom? Bereaved spouse/parent of victim of illegal alien vs. illegal alien 'threat of deportation?? Someone fired/forced to train HiB replacement vs. whatever?

219 Point is attack, attack, attack...Trump at least understands this, but this his chance to really change the narrative to the nature of Sharia law.

Nobody believes Trump is enlightened. He's the blunt tool that is uniquely qualified to pierce the liberal bubble that shields LIV. When Mitt Romney was rolled by Candy "who-the-fuck-are-you" Crowley, we should have been concerned that we are on the cusp of a FDR-type political hegemony.

220 MP4, remember last week you wondered if anyone would hear about the beheaded priest at Mass? And I said I was sure I would?

Well, I sure did. The priest talked how about the religion of peace has moved into France because Christianity has moved out. And yes, he used the term "religion of peace" not just once, but multiple times.

He also talked about how with Christianity, you become a martyr by dying for your faith, but in the religion of peace, you supposedly become a martyr by killing in the name of your faith.

He said a lot more, but ended by saying that as a priest, he would pray for Fr. Hamel's intercession and to remind himself that we store up our treasures for heaven with faith, not material goods (referring back to the first reading).

I'm really not doing it justice, but you morons would have approved.

Those rotary canons in the A-10 is what made them a hanger queen. Being a hanger queen and expensive to maintain is what ultimately killed the A-10 in today's reduce military budget (which has other problems).

My brother used to work on some of those avionics from the A-10. He said every time they fired that gun it shook the guts out of the instrumentation. This despite the circuit boards being deeply dipped in a hardening substance. If you watch videos of that aircraft firing that canon you will note that the reaction forces significantly slows the plane.

Now the wizards of smart in the energy markets are predicting that oil will stay around 50$ per barrel for the until at least 2020. This means Nigeria, Saudi and Venezuela go tits up. 257 I see CBS has a poll out showing Hillary leading by 6%, of course it is a poll that has a +6 Dem sample. The previous poll that had Trump tied on released on July 25th had a +4 Dem sample. SO Hillary did get a bounce, of some kind, but like every other poll so far it has been spiked by changing the sample.

It is hard to see trends when they keep changing the sample like that. If you think the Dems are going to be +6 Dem in November then keep it that way in all the polls. Or at least show two different results one with the new variable sample vs. the standard fixed sample.

That rotary gun was what made the A-10 so effective.

Sure, if we removed the weapons from our planes they would fly smoother and with less maintenance, but what would be the point?

And as far as money is concerned, the entire fleet of A-10s could probably be maintained for the price of one or two F-35s.

I don't have a lot of time right now to look but what was the final official percentage turnout of Dems vs. GOP in 2012? Was it really 29% vs. 27% or a +2 Dem advantage in 2012? Heck even 2008 was according to this a 33% vs. 28% or a +5 Dem.
