LA Times Tracking Poll Shows Trump's Lead Growing Through All Three Nights of the DNC, So Far

Maybe Obama's nonsense speech will have some effect. I don't know.

But so far, as with her career of being a wife to a powerful man, #ShesHasntDoneAnything.

12 OT - The Other Saga:

The line of Stasi keep the Bernie Bros cowed, the occasional truncheon blow drifting across the auditorium as Obama finishes his speech.
"...and that's why you should carry Hillary across the finish line into the White House, so that my legacy can be preserved and kept dusted by America's foremost housekeeper president, who will sing her acceptance speech."

As the crowd applauses the Stasi really get to work, the sounds of screams, bleatings, and truncheons covered as the cameras focus on Hillary. Grabbing the microphone she begins:

"Don't cross me ever America
If you do you will pay
All through my days I'll have one insistence
Start groveling now or I'll end your existence

And as for fortune and as for fame
I pursued them madly
And you better believe it
I'm owed this badly

It ain't an illusion
Revenge and money's everything to me
The answer was there all the time
For enough gold I'll do any crime"

Hillary finishes her acceptance song, her hand upraised and waits for applause that never comes, the only sounds being the groaning of the Bernie Bros, the labored breathing of the Stasi, and the slow crunching sounds of truncheons.

"Where the hell is my applause?" she shrieks. "Don't you clods know who you're trifling with?"
A young aide runs out and says "Donald Trump is holding a press conference! He's double dog dared the Russians to release every e-mail they have of yours!"
"What?"
"He even called Putin a sissy of he doesn't!"
"He dares rain on the start of my reign?" With a howl of rage and hunger she rips the poor aide's head off and swallows the blood that gushes forth.
"Refreshing. Huma!"
"Yes my dearest, what do you need?"
"Get the motorcycle, some TP, tire irons, and five gallons of Valu-Rite vodka. I'm cracking some knees tonight if its the last thing I do."
"But the convention..."
"Get one of those Hollywood half-wits up here and have them earn their keep. Trump has messed with my dreams for the last time."

Hillary stalks off the stage, a towering rage engulfing her.

The more Hilary speaks, the worse her numbers are. And tonight she's in the spotlight. No more Saturday night debates. People will see this one.

And the debates to come. Trump's election to lose, as far as I can tell.

They are really rolling the dice if they use the "Ill Bill" card because:

1. There is a significant chunk of voters who are voting for her to get him back.
2. There is a significant chunk of voters who loathe Bill and are not voting for her because of him.
3. There is a significant chunk of voters who will think that if your husband is gravely ill, you should stop campaigning and be with him--greatest love story and all that.

It's a crap shoot and I think it harms her more that helps her and I think they have focus group research that tells them this.

72 There's some other interesting stuff going on in the Ryan/Nehlen race. Per Drudge, Tim Kaine is now portraying Ryan as someone they can work with on immigration. I sense Schumer/Rubio-type 4D chess here. The Dems doubtless see Nehlen as the weaker candidate, so would love to oust Ryan for him and take the seat, while eliminating a very prominent Republican. If Ryan still wins, well, by golly, they've said nice things about him. Who could be upset about that? Either way, the Republicans are fractured and fractious.

Of course, Ryan could destroy Nehlen by coming out unequivocally against amnesty and legalization in any form, and in favor of deportation and a wall similar to the one surrounding his house.

Makes some pretty good points, especially how out of touch with reality the DNC is and how normal Americans aren't fooled, hence the polls.

Like not mentioning ISIS when we're getting attacked every 83 hours by them.

Like parading mothers of cop killers on stage while most Americans are deeply concerned with the attacks on cops.

Like calling Trump's speech 'dark' when in reality, most American's think we're currently in some of the darkest times ever and Trump was simply telling it like it is.

True disconnect from Hillary, who's saddled with Obamacare, is a vile, nasty, cunt and is mostly concerned with what bathroom that dude gets to piss in.

I think there's probably some substance to that view, although I really don't see them moving over to the GOP in any substantial numbers. Because ewwwww, Republicans have cooties. Even Trump the Outsider isn't likely to bring them over in bunches, although I might be wrong about that (hey, I'm a Moron).

And that's the really interesting part. In the long run, where do they go? They feel betrayed and abandoned by the Donks, but the major alternative isn't palatable to them, reminds them of Daddy telling them to go rake the yard. And the third parties are either pot-obsessed single-issue groups or pie-in-the-sky commies that are even more hapless and unrealistic than the Donks.

334 Hallenbeck and DeVille,

The GOP has got to offer something better than the Democrats; they don't, or at least they couldn't convince people in 2008 and 2012. A Black atheist/Muslim of a very dubious background is not that relevant. Trump may or may not be full of marketing folderol, but he at least makes a case for trying to improve the lives of Americans across the board. Most people don't care about social issues and the Constitution, and they don't even care about injustices done to groups they don't have a positive view of.

Instead of doing surveys that conclude the GOP needs more Hispanic faces, they should ask some folks in Wal-Mart what is wrong with the GOP. Probably one of the top answers would be along the lines of "They don't give a crap about me."

Posted by: Lance at July 28, 2016 01:08 PM (30Zud)

335 Mohawk,

Sure she does. Female professionals can view the entire corporate/government complex as being designed for them today at the lower levels. Government workers can see Trump as a threat. Workers in trade-dependent industries, such as Silicon Valley, can be scared of losing their cushy jobs if trade with Asia and Mexico goes south. She appeals to those who are doing well under the current system, and that is a large percentage of the country.

Then factor in the poor and various elite groups, and you are close to 51%. Then add the fear factor. Many people are afraid of Republican rule. Lots of folks see the Republicans as having a combination of the corporate face of Romney, the warlike face of McCain, and the Elmer Gantry face of Cruz, all of whom want to take away things like their pensions or whatever for the greater good of some fat cats. We can disagree with that image, but we have done a poor job of fighting it. It took an outsider like Trump to have the guts to say how rotten Hillary was. Can you imagine a Jeb-Hillary race? They could hold the debates in Kennebunkport, except Jeb would probably agree not to do any as Hillary needs to conserve her strength.

340 " Ben Shaprio has a decent article over at NRO concerning Obama basically destroying Hillary's campaign. "

Oh please. Benny will be voting for Peyton Manning so that he has some job security in whining about why the constitution was destroyed and that his kids can't find the definition of conservatism on the "new improved" scrubbed intraweb.
He will have to purchase a black marketed Websters dictionary to find it.

But hey, principles and shit.

341 A coworker and fellow veteran who is a life long demacrat, I don't know how that works, and is proud of referencing "the 3%" was on the wall about clinton.

I told him, "I'm MORE than 3%, and I would never vote democrate, and I hate trump, BUT! have you seen 13 hours?" he said he had. "EVERY time they weren't allowed to act, That was HER!, everytime they didn't get support? That was her, everytime they didn't know who our friends were, that was her, EVERY SINGLE FAILURE counteracted by those guys like us? THAT WAS HER! You are RETARDED to have ever thought it." "I've never seen that movie." he said. "WATCH IT! EVERY FAILURE was hers, including killing a fucking amabassador."

SHE ACTIVELY chose not to do a FUCKING THING! and so she is ACTIVELY responsible for killing people who were members of the only thing I ever wanted to be. She DOES NOT! care about us, and she couldn't even live up to her OWN standard of the three o'clock call, because apparently the drunken extra wife of Bill was hungover while Americans were sacrificing their lives for the things she would be happy to take credit for. . . . .like Chris Stevens sense of humor.

She doesn't deserve to know the name of my second cousins, let alone be in charge of the lives of men, better than her.

342 She's already killed enough of them.

343 The more Hilary speaks, the worse her numbers are.
And tonight she's in the spotlight. No more Saturday night debates.
People will see this one.

And the debates to come. Trump's election to lose, as far as I can tell.

Don't fuck it up, Donald.

And THIS is where I want to see if Trump's will to fight holds up. Historically, the venues and moderators are always utterly biased and stacked against our side. And the GOPe just bends over and takes it every single cycle. They show up to these sham debates like ignorant sheep to the slaughter, stand there and take it like wimps and don't have the guts to call it out for what it is.
Will Trump refuse to sit in front of a Gwen Ifil-esque panel that is in the bag for Hillary with orders to make him look bad? Will he demand and get a fairly balanced moderating team?THAT's what I want to see him do.

344 Obama started way too late to have a meaningful impact. I had no interest in waiting for another one of his speeches. The only people I know who cared are people who already love him or want a reason to complain.

345 334 Instead of doing surveys that conclude the GOP needs more Hispanic faces, they should ask some folks in Wal-Mart what is wrong with the GOP. Probably one of the top answers would be along the lines of "They don't give a crap about me."

So instead of pandering to minorities we can pander to whites? This is what Trumpism represents to me. Saying that after so many years of the system being rigged against them, we are now going in rig the system in their favor rather than try to uphold justice and show partiality to no one.

I realize that the GOP leadership was never really on board with Constitutionalism but at least they gave it lip service. Trump and his crowd don't even pretend to care.

But I guess that's how things shift. Today's Trumpkins would have been Democrats a generation ago; today's Democrats would have Communists a generation ago.

346 Berry "we will carry Hillary to victory, it is what we must do" not really a grand endorsement, more like "this sister is dead weight but we must try.".

347 Eh, it won't hold. The media hasn't even started the "war on women" campaign yet.

348 I'm not too much of a conspiracy nut, but these polls feel like a set-up for Huge Bounce for Hillary headlines.

349 So when the appeal is to minorities, it's "outreach", and when it isn't, it's "pandering".

Got it.

350 What time is the big "Fart In"? I'm thinking that the media is going to hype that event so as to report all of the "booos" were actually "eeeews" from people reacting to stinky farts "believed to number in the thousands by former Bernie supporters that now support Clinton".
