Quote of the Day I

Ticino is one of Europe's loveliest places, combining a very Italian dolce vita with trademark Swiss efficiency. Things work here in a timely fashion as they don't always in neighboring Italy. It's a minor miracle that Switzerland has made Italians work like Germans - while losing none of their fine food, wine and culture. Locals aren't excessively fond of Swiss Germans - they find them stodgy - but they look down a bit on Italians across the border too, who never can quite seem to make their trains run on time. As they do in Ticino.

That said, not much exciting happens in Ticino. The canton seldom makes Swiss headlines - much less beyond this small country. About the only noteworthy thing that happens in Locarno, the canton's second city, situated on lovely Lago Maggiore under the Alps, is the annual international film festival every August. Since 1946, that draws movie stars and therefore press. Not much else gets the international media to Locarno.

Suddenly, that's changed. And the issue is one of the most hot-button ones in all of Europe, indeed across the West right now: the role of Islam in public life.

-- from Swiss Italians Say No to the Burqa

Quote of the Day II

And yet one thinks of the aphorism of the Roman poet Horace: Naturam expelles furca, tamen usque recurret - "You may drive out nature with a pitchfork, but she keeps on coming back." The issue of transgender bathroom integration in public schools may well come to resemble the debacle of forced bussing 40 years ago, where compulsory liberalism was forced into headlong retreat by a ferocious public backlash.

It is ironic that liberals who otherwise champion the sanctity of nature when it comes to global warming or endangered species or pristine forests draw the line when it comes to human nature.

-- Steven Hayward in The Genderfication of U.S. Politics

Quote of the Day III

The Russian Olympic Team Gets Hillary Justice

Russia Bombed Base in Syria Used by U.S.

A contingent of about 20 British special forces pulled out of the facility less than 24 hours before the U.S. tracked Russian aircraft on June 16 flying across Syria to the garrison, according to U.S. military and intelligence officials briefed on the strike. The aircraft dropped cluster munitions on the target, according to U.S. officials and rebel commanders.

After that first Russian strike, officers with the U.S. military's Central Command air operations center in Qatar called their counterparts in Russia's air campaign headquarters in Latakia, Syria, U.S. officials said. The American officers told the Russians that the garrison was part of the U.S. campaign against Islamic State and shouldn't be attacked.

Roughly 90 minutes after the U.S. warning was delivered, U.S. aircraft circling nearby watched as the Russians launched a second wave of strikes against the garrison.

A U.S. military surveillance aircraft overhead tried to hail the Russian pilots directly using the frequencies which the U.S. and Russian governments had agreed to use in emergencies.

The Russian pilots didn't respond.

Their Interest In Children Is Not Benign

I've never understood why people (especially those on the left) give so much weight to anything kids say. Kids don't know much and don't have any particular insight - because kids - yet we're supposed to swoon over their innate wisdom whenever they spout back what are clearly propaganda points that they were indoctrinated with by adults in charge of them.

The EU Commission Knew About Diesel Emissions Cheating for Years

Not really shocking at since the cheating let the commission feel good about passing ever more strict emissions requirements while letting the car companies still sell cars with the performance that consumers wanted. Win-win for everyone until they got caught.

I thought
some of the metaphysical imagery was really particularly effective, and there were and interesting rhythmic devices which seemed to counterpoint the
surrealism of the underlying metaphor of the Vogonity of
the poet's compassionate soul -- which strives through the medium of the
verse structure to sublimate this, transcend that, and come to terms with
the fundamental dichotomies of the other, and one is left with a profound
and vivid insight into whatever the
post was about.

________

38 I am actually happy that you put this up and I hope that it, or something like it, becomes something of a regular type thing on this site (that is, if this site persists into the future).

We - all of us - society at large, it seems has gotten so negative. It pervades everything and I think that it is what we are being made to focus on, either through design, or by some unlucky cosmic coincidence.

I think it just might be possible to individually, and then collectively, change our focus and give a giant smiling, positive middle finger to whatever it is that is keeping us so angry and resentful and hateful and negative.

I'm trying. I've taken steps. Baby steps. But I'm committed and I'm going to continue and I have to say, I'm better for what I have done so far.

I feel fairly certain we aren't supposed to be like this, and that goes for us individually and as a society.

So - all that is to say - way to go! And more please.

139 Yep, going west is easier if you can stretch your day as long as possible. East, everything's compressed. If you can't sleep on planes (like me, with only a few exceptions), east-bound is tricky.

Used to head about 8 hours east in time zones from the east coast, and have almost zero time to recover before work stuff. Recall the mortifying experience of nearly nodding off in meetings with ministers.

Dunno if there's anything to it, but I did have some success with the "feast/fast" pre-trip diet a few times, once to east Africa and once to the usual stomping grounds in the Caucasus. Africa was a vacation, I was feeling fairly normal within 48 hours. But I also cheated with halcyon (triazolam) the first two nights - that always helped.

140 About jet lag: I find 6 hours east to be much tougher than flying halfway around the world.

Displace me 12 hours and, by the time I get where I'm going, I'm tired, I have no internal recollection of what time it is, and if told I can sleep now, I will.

Recall it was not "insurgents" or agrarian nationalists who drove their T- 55s into Saigon in April '75. Conventional military power, which had been roundly rebuffed just two years before.

We know now from Soviet archives that the north was about out of rope, their major backers had had enough, but the US abandoned the south first.

To me, it isn't that Putin would necessarily want any of the territory, it is that he would steal the country from NATO and Europe as their ally. He'd be pulling off the same sort of coup that he's been accusing Europe and NATO of doing in Eastern Europe and it would even be more significant for him because of everything he'd get if he flipped Turkey. Plus the enormous pressure strategically it would place on Europe and the Mediterranean. This is a very big deal and the timing makes it even worse, in my weak mind. Europe is weak economically. It's weak militarily. And the invasion of Muslims is a complexity that nobody can possibly get their head around with respect to terrorism and the impact on security. Someone posted a video here a couple weeks ago where they showed the proper thug shooting style.
They held the gun sideways over their head pointing down with their right hand while holding their crotch with their left hand. When they fired the gun they pushed the gun forward as if to help the bullet along while speaking trash talk.

156 To me, it isn't that Putin would necessarily want any of the territory, it is that he would steal the country from NATO and Europe as their ally. Makes sense in that the natural cant of the hand/wrist with the arm extended is to the inside.

So, at the matches I go to, most people do cant their hand inwards at about a 30-degree angle for unsupported shooting stages (either strong or weak hand side). And the other hand is balled up and placed in against the sternum.

Among other reasons, because a lot of the infrastructure around Hanoi was off-limits to bombing for many years. Basically, anything dual-use like power stations, Haiphong Harbor etc., all were relatively safe. It was only during the Christmas bombing in late '72 that the restrictions were lifted, and it brought the North Vietnamese to their knees in just a few weeks, bringing them desperately to the peace table, trying to do anything to stop the bombing.

179 Macca I'm not sure Turkey's current gyrations actually matter all that much for the "west". Turkey does indeed hold one key to the migration mess - but the other key has always been in Europe's hands. They can switch off the flow pretty much any time they want.

There is a rough analogy to the US situation on the southern border. Reducing perverse incentives, enforcing laws, and securing the frontier would result in nearly instant, and dramatic, changes. Obviously. Though the US is sooooo dumbed down - and I do not limit this to your NPR-stupid sorts, by any means - that this common sense is treated as some exotic and far-fetched hypothesis.

But back to Turkey, apart from bases and intel cooperation of unknown quality and value, what are our interests there? Not accusing you of this, but all I see when it comes to NATO and US interests in Europe is inertial blather that could have come from any dull seminar at Brookings or in Brussels 20 years ago.

193 The sideways gun thing has no basis in practicality, unless they mount some Homie Boy sights onto their Glock. No matte what brand of Glock they use.

http://tinyurl.com/a53f8

That said, yes, during the olde PPC and Bullseye revolver matches, the slight cant, w/ fist on chest, was a thing. That's due more to the muscle isometrics of trying to hold onto the "X" ring of a B-27 target at some 50 yards distance.

Conversely, when you see some High Speed Low Drag type cant his AR-15 off to the side in a match, it's because he's very likely got his iron sights mounted onto 45 degree canted offset mounts, so he can "tilt" instantly from optics to irons and back again, as needed.

In that case, it's not a Hollywood thing, as much as it is competitors seeking an advantage.

But for ultimate form an accuracy, I think the style shown by Olympic Free Pistol shooters are the most instructive. The adjust the body, arm and posture till the pistol is isometrically stable, but you can be damn well assured that it's truly vertical, with the sights squared to the target.

And they shoot dime sized groups at fifty yards.

Good enough for me, then. I'll follow their lead, and not some movie/ghetto homieboy.

195 SFpsycho, the onion has a few layers. There *was* an insurgency. It took years to defeat that. That wasn't the same as defeating the north - but the north was the aggressor/had the initiative, so "defeating" the north = denying its objectives.

As ITC points out, when the US got semi-serious about choking the north's arteries to their suppliers, the north freaked out very quickly.

The onion has many other layers (incl. that the south was not a coherent or durable operation w/out at least strong US over-watch and airpower, perhaps, as of '75). But it's probably the case that if you change nothing up to '74, but then change history by having the US maintain its level of support at that time, the south survives (at least past '75).

Look. I don't pretend to know what the hell is going on in that region anymore, but Putin is not a whole lot different from Kruschev, I think. Europe spent it's peace dividend and can no longer afford to defend itself. Germany's military might as well be a police force. Turkey, if it turned it's support toward Russia, would be in a position to had over massive intel and technology from the west. It has the second largest military in NATO. The access to lines of communications is arguably more important to Russian than it is to NATO and they are massively important to NATO for that very reason. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I think there is plenty for the west to worry about with NATO. As far as the immigrant thing goes: Even if they shut it off now, there are a million and a half refugees still unabsorbed by Europe, some doing the shit we have see this weekend.

Trump and Pence are holding a townhall here in Roanoke on Monday. Wife and I are watching the 11pm news, and they tease the story on the lead in to the news, and then turn around and the lead story is on the local Democrats plans for protesting the appearance, a number to call to be part of it, when and where the protest will be, and then a little bit on the townhall.

Reminds me when Rubio came to town back in March for a rally. 5000 people at the rally that waited 2 hours to get into the venue. The media coverage was 20 seconds on the rally, and 3 minutes on interviewing the 25 Dem protesters outside.

When people say there is no media bias, this is the kind of bullshit that they don't understand.

211 And an addendum to the pistol cant for the PPC/Bullseye matches.

That's back when revolvers really didn't have very ergonomic grips, to begin with. Tyler's "T" grip helped on some, and both S&W and Colt offered larger "target" or "combat" grips, neither of which really fit the human hand all that well.

Companies such as Herrett's, Pachymar, and others, did produce some better designs, but for the most part, having competed in all those kinds of matches with revolvers in the days of yore.....the cant developed to compensate for how poorly the revolver grip melded with the hand, especially in the one-handed, standing at angle to the target posture, offered up the muscle groups to the grips of the time.

Modern auto pistols, revolvers of newer design like the Ruger GP-100, provide a far better interface to the human hand, in terms of grip diameters, taper, angle and height of grip vs. arc of trigger, etc.

And a good tip as to how easy it is to eliminate the need to "cant" a classic 1911.

Install the longer trigger, and un-cramp the hand around the grip. Then a proper vertical grip becomes more ergonomically natural.

And some people benefit from slimmer grip panels on the 1911. Or, like me, an open backstrap grip on my N-frame revolver, via Pachymer Gripper Professional rubber grips.

They fit me like I'd squeezed my hand into modeling clay.

No cant needed with those, I assure you!

220 Jim I haven't messed around much with changing grips on my handguns. Pachmayr on the Model 66, and a nice hardwood Hogue on the King Cobra (more for looks, and boy does she look good), but otherwise stock.

My atrocious 1911 shooting has returned after I'd seemed to overcome it, it's entirely anticipatory jerk resembling the hard pull on a horrible trigger (shoot low). My preferred strategy is lots and lots and lots of shooting, as opposed to grip changes (have standard flat-ish ones on now, have also used surplus WWII grips).

on an empty gun or with snap caps, simulate your exact shooting sequence.
As you squeeze the trigger, stop before it breaks and take a look at where your finger is on the trigger.
You may be riding your finger along the trigger guard, which will create downward pressure on the gun .

The trigger has a sweet spot in the middle, and it took me a while to get off the bottom.

or maybe not.

234 rhomboid.... If you can find aftermarket grips for your Colt that get it closer to the layout of a GP-100, I think you'll find that you'll shoot it better.

And that's from me, a dyed-in-the-wool S&W wheelgunner.

Only thing I can immediately suggest as to your 1911 woes, is to get either a .22 conversion on it to practice more cheaply and with less recoil...might be the cure.

Or, a 2nd gun with similar grip and controls layout. A classic Browning Buckmark emulates the 1911 in controls, grip angle and shape, nearly exactly.

Otherwise.... with your knowledge and experience in pistolcraft, I'm sure your "sucks" is going to still be quite good enough to get a bad guy to suddenly realize the errors of his ways.

And on a good day, he'll only have that as a rather fleeting epiphany.

Excellent points, guys.

OEJ, I will note that specific issue in my dry-firing (which is obviously one thing I use to improve).

One odd thing - from the first time I shot this 1911, it has "stung" my trigger finger. Not each time, but off/on. Finger tip actually hurts after firing a few rounds. This I cannot figure out (in terms of trigger movement, possible ways my finger could be getting either squeezed or struck).

Jim, I reload, so lots of shooting is my answer. I generally load mid/mild loads in all calibers for practice, though the 45 does seem pretty snappy (200g SWC). I'm going to shoot some reloads alternating with factory ammo next time and compare the recoil etc.

Argh, I was lying there with the lights out when I remembered I had one more thing I had to do, so I had to sit up, turn my computer back on, and do the thing, so I figured while I was up I'd drop by.

So apparently Franklin Foer is the genius who has uncovered the Putin-Trump-Brexit-Berlusconi's-bed nexus. Here's a sample:

>>Vladimir Putin has a plan for destroying the West -- and that plan looks a lot like Donald Trump. Over the past decade, Russia has boosted right-wing populists across Europe. It loaned money to Marine Le Pen in France, well-documented transfusions of cash to keep her presidential campaign alive. Such largesse also wended its way to the former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi, who profited "personally and handsomely" from Russian energy deals, as an American ambassador to Rome once put it. (Berlusconi also shared a 240-year-old bottle of Crimean wine with Putin and apparently makes ample use of a bed gifted to him by the Russian president.)

>>There's a clear pattern: Putin runs stealth efforts on behalf of politicians who rail against the European Union and want to push away from NATO. He's been a patron of Golden Dawn in Greece, Ataka in Bulgaria, and Jobbik in Hungary. Joe Biden warned about this effort last year in a speech at the Brookings Institution: "President Putin sees such political forces as useful tools to be manipulated, to create cracks in the European body politic which he can then exploit." Ruptures that will likely multiply after Brexit -- a campaign Russia's many propaganda organs bombastically promoted.

What a stupid reason to vote for anyone. When yo have money, it doesnt really matter who governs this country in that you are always insulate from their decisions by your money.

Nah, that wasn't a seizure -- it was Hillary being momentarily, just for a split second, startled by the sudden barrage of questions shouted at her by the women to her right, and then, the cover up for her being briefly startled, she quickly segued into pretending yo be startled, in a comically exaggerated way, which she (lacking comic timing) continued on doing far long past it being "funny."

People are reading too much into it. It's just Hillary being insincere as usual, not having a seizure.

Seizures big or small are like a concusiion times 1000-1million. She is not right physically, mentally, and psychologically.

After surgery years ago I had a grand mal seizure in the recovery area. It took me over 6 months to shake The under water feeling and hazy feeling. I had personality changes, memory and sleep issues, ect... It fucked me up for a while.
And I've had major concussions before.

I cannot imagine having seizures regularly like she obviously does big or small. She needs to drop out. For our country's sake.

Fuck her health.

I had one big one due to a medication mixture post operation. The first thing I remembered was my heart with one large pump and it starting back very slowly. It felt like I was brought back from being dead. I knew nothing for a while and slowly things came back.

I could not imagine having to go through that more than once, big or small. Like I said it is like a concussion times 100 to 1 million. The Young man my family knows is 180.from what and who he was. Constant medication. Will never be able to live alone and care for himself. Violent personality swings. It is a terrible thing from what I understand and the parents and family feel helpless. All from a sinus infection or something. They have no idea except they started after a bad sinus infection.

I think she had a stroke and seizures back in 2012 and is deteriorating rapidly because of the seizures and other health issues. She is only getting worse.

She has always been evil but since that health issue in 2012 she has not been her normal mostly lucid evil psychotic self.

That is a minefield. It's all too easy to be painted as wishing ill health upon her, and the Progs would leap upon that as "heartless Republicans want Hill dead".

Besides, if the enemy is making a mistake by running an unattractive, evil candidate with one foot in the grave and the other upon a banana peel, why stop them? 313 So, last night I went to see Dinesh D'Souza's Hillary's America.

Average age about 60. Race, not one person browner than a northern Italian.

I went to see the movie because I watched D'Souza give an interview about it. He was intelligent, engaging, and funny in the interview. He dealt with his conviction head on and it was an entertaining interview. Sadly, the movie not so much. It seemed to me like he aimed it at people with an IQ of about 85. He didn't explain anything enough and he didn't provide even a glimpse that there might be source documents to back up what he was saying. At the end of the movie, the patriotism was so over the top that it would allow the cynical and skeptical to blow off the whole thing and deny anything they found uncomfortable in the body of the movie.

All in all, the movie struck me as a frustrated shout at those who managed to blame all Democrat crimes on conservatives and got away with it. For those (like me) that are frustrated about that, the movie has some therapeutic value. However, I have a hard time imagining that this movie is made in a way that can overcome the cynicism and skepticism of those who have been, or are willing to, be lied to by Democrats.

I managed to convince a couple 18 year old kids to go because I wanted to see what the movie might mean to them. They just finished high school indoctrination, so I was curious what they might have to say. They left about 1/3 of the way through. To be honest, the movie insulted their intelligence and that is pretty hard to do.

You don't want anybody in their 70's with neurological issues and Seizures (on top of everything) even sniffing around the most powerful position in the world, which she would not ever be removed from.

There is no wishing about her health. Look back to 2102 and what Bill Clinton said himself. Connect the dots. Something major happened. Compare her 2008 campaign to this one. It is not even close.... She is basically confined and isolated and managed now. Then she was not.

Also the coughing fits can be small seizures as well. She could be using the coughing to mask the convulsions/tiny seizsures or they could be seizures. There are several types of seizures.

She is 70 with this condition. She is not 20. Plus she is Hillary and not Mary Poppins.

Again just my 2 cents.

PS. One debate has already been cancelled due to "security concerns" which is bullshit. It is all about Hillary's health.

My cat woke me up at 2:30 to inform me that I hadn't given her her traditional midnight snack, which was true, since I was asleep. Then I heard sirens. A fire engine went slowly by and stopped at the end of my street. Then more arrived. I could see three at one end and one all the way at the other end. The fire chief's car was parked in front of my house.

I didn't see any flames anywhere. I opened a window but didn't smell smoke. I lit a cigarette and the house didn't blow up, so it isn't a gas leak. This has been going on for 45 minutes.

403 Lousy night. I fell asleep in the early evening and had a dream that went from bizarre to nightmare. I was in an unfamiliar home and went into a small room, perhaps a laundry room, and urinated on everything within reach. Utterly baffling as there was no context for it. Was I mad at somebody? Then I left the room and found myself being chased by an aggressive cobra that I think may have been hiding inside a sort of snake costume to pass as a more benign species. I couldn't find any object to hold it at bay or kill it with, then I woke up.

As usual when things get frantic in a dream, I need to go to the bathroom. This is when I discovered it was almost midnight and I'd slept far longer than I first thought. Which means my attempt to get on some sort of normal schedule is put off again. I guess it would help if I had something to do besides go to the gym and minor housework.

415 Y-Not has a curious sidebar up about Cruz, pointing out Reagan never endorsed Ford in 1976. Well, yes, except he actively campaigned for Ford and cut a number of advertisements exhorting voters to support him. At best, I'd say that's a very narrow distinction you make Y-not. Or, maybe, not a hairsbreath of difference.

Cruz is not like Reagan, and Trump is not like Ford. The situations are totally different. Ford was a GOPe, no question, but Trump is more a main-stream Democrat from the pre-Progressive era, combined with populism and bombast. The situation is further complicated by the fact that Cruz couldn't be more different from Reagan, from an electoral standpoint. Just one example: Reagan was a successful governor, a longtime political activist who had provided critical support to Goldwater, and he had a significant base of cultural power. He was liked. Cruz, sad to say, has none of that going for him.

Make sense to me.

A lot of connected people could go to jail if even a tiny fraction of law was enforced.

A lot of people could lose their sinecures.

A lot of money has been spent on prepping the media and killing cops. If private militias work in Iraq why not in the US.

.Can't happen. Even if obama declared Martial law, there is no way on this planet that it could be enforced. There are simply not enough Law Enforcement personnel to make it work. And the Military would not help him for the most part. Sure you have some knuckle headed gung-ho liberals that would love to stomp on John Q. And people would be armed and marching on DC in numbers not since since 1861. No way that is ever going to happen, even though I know it is some peoples fantasy.

My dreams are always completely nonsensical and random. There often seems to be a plot of sorts but not one I can discern. It just feels like I'm being swept along by events.

In recent years, the limited length of time I can go before being awoken by the need to urinate has been a problem. The urgency translates to a sense of danger in the dream, so it turns into a nightmare. Then after waking and taking care of the immediate need, getting back to sleep is difficult and often futile. It's been at least three years since I got more than four hours sleep without being really exhausted.

I think I could recall the details of the really disturbing nightmares I experienced in my life up until a few years ago but now it's so frequent they just blend together.

Full
enforcement of martial law would be problematic. But we're talking
about using it to cancel elections. That would be a piece of cake. What
are people going to do?...vote anyway? Where? How?
.
.
.
.First of all, full enforcement of Martial Law in the US is impossible, it simply is not ever going to happen. Even with the full 100% cooperation of the entire US Military and all LE organizations, there isn't enough people to make it happen.

Second, declaring Martial Law to cancel a legitimate election would ignite a second Civil War that would make the first one look like a minor misunderstanding. People would not just sit meekly at home not being able to vote and say....aww shucks, that darned obama won't let me vote for Trump..

I know lot's of people talk about it being so easy and all the President has to do is sign a paper, everyone would cooperate, no one could do anything about it because they can't vote, etc. but that is not what would happen.

If only 3-5% of the US population marched on DC, Martial Law would be cancelled in 10 seconds flat. Because once something like that was started it would not end quickly and the people who had had enough would not stop until they thought the mess in DC was totally cleaned up.

Yeah, I noticed also how it's been all the anti-establishment folks that have been trying to bring Mr Trump down.
That shouldn't need a sarc tag but in your case...

Now you may go ahead and spew on about how anti establishment the snake oil salesman is while I get ready for work in a power outage.
I'll pretend I'm reading it.

506 The Cuban Revolution in a nutshell.

The Batista regime was corrupt, like the Clintons.

Most of the ground work for the revolution was done by Cuban professionals, not the fighters in the hills who were Castro's men. This was to be an "upper middle class" revolution to remove a corrupt regime.

Castro misappropriated the revolution for his his own ends and most of those professionals were rounded up, on orders of Castro, by Che Guevara and executed, based on the old Communist adage .. "an enemy of my enemy could also become my enemy" (they did the same thing in Poland after WWII).

507 It did not seem to be a "thing" during the Crusades, possibly because there were generally no prisoners taken by either side.

The Middle East had a fairly well-developed system of taking and ransoming prisoners, whereas the West was still in the "kill them or enslave them" mode of thought at the time. As a matter of fact, it is possible that the system of ransom so integral to medieval warfare in the High and Late Middle Ages was due to Eastern influence.

Incidentally, it is a letter discussing the ransoming of Jewish prisoners from the fall of Jerusalem in 1097 that confirms that 1) the Crusaders did not slaughter all the Jews in Jerusalem, contra certain chroniclers, and 2) they didn't rape the women, as stated by the same chroniclers. The last was rather unusual for both Middle Eastern and Western culture...

508 Cluster bombs are smart bombs in that they smartly destroy and kill all in the target area. Russians are killing mussies and taking down the DNC, hmm..

510 "What conservatism?"

More importantly what is conservatism?

What I'm hearing is "I know it when I see or hear it".

Come up with a list of agencies a successful candidate must close. Come up with a list of programs that must be shut down or a candidate will be hounded from office.

Call the list "Political Suicide List".

511 ...Erdogan has that country so cowed that even the "opposition" is participating in rallies to support him...

I'm thinking they are choosing starvation. Or at least no toilet paper.

I think Erdogan is implementing Newt Gingrich's suggestion (destroy Western technology in muslim countries). At some point Russia and Iran are going to turn on one another like Stalin and Hitler did in WW2. Syria can only have one master.

512 I thought a Wasserman was a test for an unpronounceable disease. Shall we change the name of Hillary's new hire to Tnucyracs?
