The Daily Beast reached out to 121 foreign policy operatives who signed a March open letter opposing Trump on the basis of his national security positions. Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol joined a conference call on Tuesday night to encourage Republican delegates to protest on the floor of the convention in a last ditch effort to block Donald Trump from obtaining the party's nomination. National Review writer David French, who Kristol once recruited to launch an independent bid, was also on the call and encouraged delegates not to "fear the chaos" of a contested convention.

Why does the party that investigated Benghazi seem willing to let this go? Here are a few possible reasons....

51:1 Why dost thou glory in malice, * thou that art mighty in iniquity?
51:2 All the day long thy tongue hath devised injustice: * as a sharp razor, thou hast wrought deceit.
51:3 Thou hast loved malice more than goodness: * and iniquity rather than to speak righteousness.
51:4 Thou hast loved all the words of ruin, * O deceitful tongue.
51:5 Therefore will God destroy thee for ever: * he will pluck thee out, and remove thee from thy dwelling place: and thy root out of the land of the living.
51:6 The just shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say: * Behold the man that made not God his helper:
51:7 But trusted in the abundance of his riches: * and prevailed in his vanity.

84 One thing I'm counting on is that in the debates, Hillary's weird, stentorian shout-speaking style will be a major turn off to a lot of LIVs.

It's bad enough in sound bites, but enduring her voice for a full hour or more is another.

She didn't used to be such a horrible public speaker. Never great but not as bad as she is now. The whole Mama Mao act is just so bad. You'd think she'd get better coaching. It works wonders with the Prog cultists but with the general public?

149 Color me naive, but the more I think of it, the more it seems to me that Comey's statement yesterday was possibly made to point out the obviousness of what is being done to this country.

There was no real reason why he needed to make that statement. He essentially laid a perfect case against Hillary on the table and then he explicitly stated that anyone else, under similar circumstances, would probably be punished under the law.

I think it is a possbility that he made the statement because, short of throwing his career away, that was as far as he could go. That, and because the bulk of the statement was such a takedown, not only of Clinton, but of the lawless situation that surrounds this administration.

160 If November goes bad, raise some other flag. The original one, or the Gadsden. Let people know.

Heh.

I fly the Gadsden all the time now.

Interesting story from last year: I was flying that flag on Independence Day when my dumb ass LGBTGFYGTFO HOA president came by. She wanted to suggest that I fly an "American" flag instead of that one. I said this flag predates the US flag, was flown by honest to God heroes who fought for our independence, with a motif by Ben Franklin and I couldn't think of a more appropriate flag to fly on Independence Day than that one.

She was all shocked and said it was "divisive."

Alas, when leaving my house to go to a BBQ, I saw the flag she was flying...a rainbow flag.

Yeah, that's my development.

and hillary is swallowing up all of the prime time slots, and the networks are complicit - they will give her the prime time real estate over trump

A great ad he could run, like the one linked on Drudge, would be to switch between the lies that Comey points to intermixed with the lies Hillarys campaign is throwing at Trump. He is being attacked daily with lies by hillary. She is straight up lying about what he says and he needs to kill it.

Look at what's been going on over the last number of years. Nobody, at least so it seems, is doing anything 'for the country'. Nobody. Everything is done for self interest - which has been called the strongest force in the universe. We keep thinking that somebody will surely take a principled stand for the country, but nobody does. 276 Another thing about this campaign and about "The Beast" that people are ignoring is something that Trump's team keeps pointing out, but something that can't seem to get traction and that is the fact that "The Beast" managed to make $141 million dollars during her term as Sec of State.

How the fuck is this not important? She had a second job. A second job that paid her exponentially more than her salary as Sec of State.

Where did her loyalties really lie? With this country, or with the people, mostly foreigners, who were paying her $141 million?

Is it possible at all, that she rationalized, even a little that her doing the things that caused her to be paid a fortune were good for everyone?

How much time would she have had to devote to activities outside her job to be paid $141 million dollars? What would she have to do, what services would she have to perform, to be paid $141 million.

Ah, she *merged* her two jobs, so that what she did at State was also what was best for the Clinton Foundation. That's the thing: the email was the crime to cover other worse crimes (similar to money laundering, tax evasion), such as taking bribes/"donations" to make certain SoS decisions, such as mining rights.

on the plane with Bill ?

I know she cant formally do it, but she basically told Comey she wanted him to make the 'right' recommendation.

I think she did that purposely. She already knew which way the FBI was leaning, knew what they were going to say....and used it to get out of the shady situation she was in.

307 With all the Hwd big mouth gun grabbers none of them will take a pledge to not appear in any projects where there are guns.

I suggest we start a pledge/petition for them and demand that they sign it.

I predict zero signatures. lol

308 Is it possible at all, that she rationalized, even a little that her doing the things that caused her to be paid a fortune were good for everyone?

Not just possible, but she has a long record of such sleazy rationalizations.

When Hillary was caught in Arkansas (the phony hog futures deal in which she turned a $1k investment into a $100k return overnight), she said that she and Bill were entitled to profit, due to their long years of "public service."

Never mind that Hillary had only been hired and become a partner at the Rose Law Firm because of her ability to steer state business to the firm, due to the fact that she was married to Bill, Arkansas' AG and later governor. That wasn't enough of a perk for dear Hillary. And of course the family lived in the governor's mansion, and had cooks, drivers, and all the other perks of a governor's life. But that wasn't enough either. Hillary thought they also deserved to be rich, and she wasn't at all particular about how they accomplished that.

Hillary has been a crook for decades.

A couple of years back, after Sandy Hook, Harvey Weinstain loudly proclaimed that he would no longer produce any films with gun violence.

But then again, if you can make money by producing The Hateful Eight........ you fudge it.

310 Clinton? Hillary Clinton?
Oh yeah now I remember.
She was in the olive oil business with my father.
But that was years ago...

312 It took Hugo Chavez 14 years to bring Venezuela from having more oils reserves than the Saudi's to Nationalizing oil fields, companies that were the means of production and growing your own food to having no food or toilet paper.

But hey with out food you don't need toilet paper...so there's that.

Right now we still have jobs, money, investments, products, food, private property, and all the rest of 1st world status. I will be well into my 70's before it will get to the violent revolutions stage here. Best to bury the tools of revolution for you grand-kids to find when the time is right. along with a note that you knew what was happening, but your countrymen were gender fluid...
