Riot Thread [Y-not]

The Food Thread should be going up soon, but there's a riot going on in Sacramento, so here's a thread for that.

It's a very confused situation, but I gather that there was a "Nazi mega rally" scheduled and that (Leftist) counter protesters started attacking anyone they suspected of being part of that protest.

I'll update this thread as things become clearer.

**Another update, this time from the Sacramento Bee:

At least five people were stabbed in a riot that broke out at the state Capitol Sunday between more than 150 anarchists and "anti-fascist" protestors and about 25 neo-Nazis who had gotten permission to rally on the west steps, police said.
Dozens of police in safety gear and on horseback tried to control the mayhem. There were at least five stabbings, involving victims on both sides, according to Sacramento Police Chief Sam Somers, who had officers in safety gear on scene to support CHP officers, some of them on horseback. "It's a highly volatile situation," Somers said. They have been other skinhead rallies at the Capitol, but "this time the the anarchists have taken a much more aggressive stance to wreak havoc on the city."

True on the bikers, although some of them were shot by other bikers.

We didn't have any riots when Trump came here, and it was right after the CA riots. There was some roughness near the Dallas rally, but nothing like in CA and AZ and Chicago.

Okay, just a couple of points, the first being that peaceful assembly was attacked, not just Nazi's. Yet no one will stand, because to do so will be to align oneself with Nazi's. In effect, open season on neo-nazis.

B) Trump, and by extention his supporters, have been called fascist and nazi by so many as to be true to stupid people and those looking for an excuse for violence. That is why so much disruption has been allowed at Trump rallies. In effect, near open season on Trump/supporters.

III) Pretty f'n hilarious how anarchists (commies tip-o-the-spear), and leftists (commies under a D banner) can hold up Che posters and hammer and sickle flags with impunity, yet their ideology has killed numerous millions more than the nazi's managed.

The so-called Antifacist/Antifa side organized a counter protest with the expressed and preplanned purpose of violently denying the skinheads their legal right to assemble. Most if not all the violence is on the hands of the so-called Antifa's, who looked, talked and acted like street punk anarchists of the type that have been around since forever.

Think punk rock shows at Gilman St or protest rally in Golden Gate Park or LA, thats who these people were. Anti-everything, mostly all millenials, totally clueless and brain dead, definitely not peace loving and determined to do violence today. These two groups fight each other around the state all the time.

The worst of the violence took place right outside my apt window and for a few minutes it looked like part of a medieval battle, with 100 people on each side wailing on each other at hand-to-hand with homemade clubs and bottles. The skinheads carried wooden shields one might have seen at Hastings or Agincourt.

One Antifa hipster girl I saw carried a protest sign with a baseball bat for a handle and a cop told her in no uncertain terms that she was not allowed on the State Capitol grounds with it.

To my civilian eyes things looked pretty bad but not necessarily earth shaking. Near-riots happen in Sacto now and again because we are the seat of government of the most populous state in the country. But this was definitely a notch above whats happened before.

From a relatively safe but close enough to feel the heat distance, I stood in support of the cops and horses in riot gear who were doing a valorous and difficult job, including my 4-legged CHP horse friend Samson who was right in the middle of the melee like a battle steed.

There are no innocents here today really, but the Antifa's imo bear most if not all the responsibility for instigating the violence and as I understand it most of the stabbing victims were Antifa's jumping on skinheads.

Appalling stuff. Things are quiet now, but I don't think I've ever seen the likes of it before and i don't ever want to see it again. Not holding my breath though because both sides seems primed and psyched up to get at each other.

Lefty media are not surprisingly characterizing this as Nazis vs "anti-fascists" but that's too kind. The so-called Antifa's were just as scumbaggy, violent and worthless-to-society as the skinheads.
