EMT 6/25/16 Fluck the fu edition. [krakatoa]

So this past week in Denver would have been much more pleasant without the flu cropping up on Monday.

Nothing like spending a week away from home to work "on site", have to quarantine in a hotel the whole time, finish the gig anyway, and realize you could have done it all from home with its stocked medicine cabinet in the first place without the 18 hours of travel.

3 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, June 25, 2016. On this day in 1910 congress passed the Mann Act, which prohibited interstate transport of females for immoral purposes; the ambiguous language would be used to selectively prosecute people for years to come and so it did. This has been one of the most abused laws ever passed by an idiot congress. It was passed to answer hysteria generated by the yellow press and idiot feminists that women were being captured and sold into sexual slavery. There was absolutely no evidence that this was actually occurring. This BS law has been used, and is still being used, to selectively prosecute people the feds are going after. It has been amended but never repealed.

4 I just love this stupid and biased headline/link from Fox's main page:

TROUBLE FOR TRUMP? Lawsuit seeks to unbind delegates from backing presumptive nominee

A Virginia delegate to this summer's Republican National Convention filed a lawsuit Friday challenging a state law which commits him to backing presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.

I would not allow this suit to go forward if I was the judge. I will tell the idiot to request a replacement and sit his stupid ass at home.

5 Thanks to Obama, and without congressional approval, Cuba is set to begin flights to the US mainland later this year. The House was going to send a delegation from the Homeland Security committee to examine their airport security. But Cuba refused to issue visas so the trip was canceled. Congress should now turn around and cancel Obama's unauthorized and illegal "treaty".

6 The FBI says there is no evidence that the Orlando shooter was gay. That is absolute BS. It may be a lie, but his "friend" from that Gay club that he frequented has opened stated that they were "lovers". So they absolutely can not say there is "no evidence". Once the idiot in the WH and his equally retarded AG return to civilian ignominy, will the FBI ever be able to get its reputation back?

This was a simple home robbery, why are the feds involved in it at all? Why?, because a single marijuana roach was stolen. This is absurd, I agree with Heritage, the feds should butt out and the Supremes should have ruled that it was a State crime and they had no jurisdiction.

We have a liquor store here that does that periodically. I have always wondered how they get away with that here because we have some tough liquor laws and technically they are serving alcohol by the shot instead of selling "packaged" bottles. And it takes a special license to do that and stringent conditions have to be met.

Well, we're boned:

CA Ammo Background Check Initiative Qualifies for the November Ballot

If voters approve, California would become the first state to require background checks at the point of sale for ammunition. Gun owners would have to surrender large-capacity ammunition magazines. California already bans selling assault-style magazines holding more than 10 bullets, but current law lets those who possess the large-capacity magazines to keep them.

A Field Poll in January found 80 percent of Californians supporting background checks for buying ammunition and 58 percent favoring outlawing the possession of large-capacity magazines.

92 What you are seeing in CA is the "concentrating effect". Back in the 80s the Democrats started taking over the State. Republicans who actually worked for a living (with a few Dems) started leaving. Of course that made the percentage of non-working Democrats increase. After decades of working people exodus the only thing left is the FSA and a bunch of socialist politicians to rule them.

There are no sane people left. We really do need an Art V convention to split the country. Let all these insane blue Hells go to form their own socialist empire.

As most people know, I am a die-hard Ted Cruz supporter. That said, I do not go along with this. If he has the 1,237 to win on the first ballot then you do what you are required to do, like it or not.

Besides that, the GOP is for all intents and purposes a private club. If it wants to change its rules, then it has the right to do it. What the hell does the court have to do with it?

106 Everything is racism to black university AA professors.
-----------------

And, of course, not just to them.

My teenaged daughter works at the local water park. Last weekend she was stationed by the large slide, which kids have to be 48" to be able to use.

A dad told her that she was racist because she wouldn't allow his kid to use the slide. She politely pointed out that his son was under the height allowance. He told her that he saw other kids who were his kid's height going down, and that she was racist for not allowing his.

She politely pointed out that his kid received a band when they came through admissions, and it was that person who determined that the kid wasn't tall enough, not her. He didn't care.

So she offered to call over the supervisor, and he said no, no, he just wanted her to know that they are racist there.

Well all righty then.

Michael Herr, who wrote Dispatches, an intense, personal account of being a correspondent in Vietnam that is widely viewed as one of the most visceral and persuasive depictions of the experience of war, died on Thursday. He was 76.

Published in 1977, almost a decade after his yearlong sojourn in Vietnam and after he had recovered from his own bout of depression brought on by his war experience, the book was a sensation, an acutely observed, acutely felt, wisely interpretative travelogue of hell, deeply sympathetic to the young American conscripts, and deeply skeptical of the political and military powers that kept them there.

Cameron is resigning but not exiting the office right way, and he won't invoke the rule 50 thing in the Lisbon treatry right away. He's leaving that for the next guy.

The next guy is saying that negotiations for leaving will begin, but not right away, no need to rush things.

The EU leaders now are saying that if Britian wants out, then they are out right away and will be punished for it, their representataives will be ignored and removed from their posts.

Five other countries want out, but none of them are Spain, Portugal, or Greece. And anyone else who wants out will have a much more difficult time getting out. France wants out and Germany is left holding the bag; strangely silent, apparently not knowing what to do. Turkey doesn't want IN, now, and refugees keep flooding in.

It looks like the drama queens from the high school pretty girls club are having a cat fight because someone stole someone elses boyfriend, with much hair pulling and bodice ripping, shrieking and wailing.
