There are only two possibilities: either demographic segments, like individuals, can differ in their native abilities, or they can't, and all such segments' differences are purely environmental. In the latter case, any deficit in representation from proportion in the population, in any endeavor, indicates discrimination that should be addressed.

To these groups I raise the middle finger. The Preezy is the kind of authoritarian dandy they'd all love to be. They just can't. So, in the meantime, they can just go along with his craptastic policies until they get one of theirs to replace or expand it.
Nothing will change now. The guards on the wall are pulling for the barbarians outside the gates. And the barbarians outside the gates know the Chocolate Messiah inside those gates is one of them, heart and soul. Nothing will change that flawed, deadly dynamic. The elites won't let it, and the barbarians don't know or care about it. They are rats climbing onto the sinking Titanic, captained by King Putt himself.
I remain hopeful that once the really bad things start to happen, the tired of the shiite mentality that spawned Trump's miserable run will reveal whatever place one might move to after our union fails.
Which it most assuredly will, now. And non-decisions like this lockstep court fiasco make it abundantly clear that the die is indeed cast.
SCOAMT's dour appearance to lecture us on what great things his lawless policies are is just another dose of getting pissed on while being told is just raining.

You will never have a Court, which is CHOSEN by the State, really limit the power OF the State, for any length of time.
It's one of the few places in the Constitution our Founders did not put in some check and balance... because they never thought the Court would be the final arbitrator of Constitutionality.

FDR tried to "pack the court" by nominating up to 15 liberal justices, as a way of blackmailing Congress, who caved in to his demands, lest they fear he follow through with his threat.
(There is no set number of justices on the Supreme Court, for those who didn't know -- it can be as few as three or as many as you want. "Nine" is just a random number we settled on.)
But, you see, Trump is such a loose cannon, with absolutely nothing to lose reputation-wise, that he and he alone could have the cajones to just nominate 10 new constitutionalist judges to the Supreme Court.
It would take the Left several generation to recover from that setback.
Just dreaming here.

Of course the BoR was merely designed for emphasis - the Constitution includes the total authorization for any and all powers the government has. If a power isn't explicitly listed in the Constitution, the government does not have it.

Define 'antique'. The AR-15 design is now 50 years old, and the AK dates back twenty before that, and there's a bunch of other military-origin rifles like the FAL in between those two.
A Browning M1897 can do a hell of a lot of damage in a theater, it's a weapon that an earlier generation of Germans developed a fair familiarity with.

Subject to the standing issue, this was an easy case to affirm in favor of the states and against Obama. For DAPA, Obama didn't issue an executive order or even an executive action. He had Jeh Johnson, the head of DHS, issue a memorandum that created an entire new regulatory regime including the issuance of work permits. Put aside that this new regime is in conflict with existing law. Jeh Johnson's creation didn't comply with the rule-making requirement of Administrative Procedure Act. It's clearly wrong.
As to standing, if 26 states don't have standing here then no one does, The states have established that Obama's "actions" cost them money, ergo standing.
The pity is that SCOTUS on its own initiative added the question of whether Obama has "taken care that the Laws be faithfully executed." This was a signal that if Scalia was still around there would have been a 5 to 4 Obama smack down.

The original comment was pointing out that the MFM routinely uses such terms (fake, homemade, or antique) to "explain" how someone in heavily-gun-controlled-Europe got "an assault weapon" (yes, I hate the term too).
My point was that even that was an admission (albeit unintentional) on the part of the MFM - I don't have to be terribly afraid of a "mass shooting" situation wherein the primary weapon is a musket or lever-action rifle - my Springfield XD can put more hurt on the bad guy much faster than he can fire. In Germany, that's not the case. Maybe not so much with a musket, but certainly with a lever-action rifle or even a revolver with speed-loaders, a bad guy can put a whole lot of hurt down in the amount of time it takes cops to respond.

Michigan tried that. We voted to include in our constitution that state schools(University of Michigan was the primary subject) could not use race in admission selections. U/M was being sued for admitting black students with lower scores over white students becausee "diversity".
The University and it's big money SJW donors took the people of the state of Michigan to court and get a ruling(just like today) that the university COULD use race among it's many selection criteria.
In other words, the constitutional amendment the people of Michigan voted in, to END racial discrimination, was overturned by Federal courts citing "diversity". Even though the 14th amendment claims you cannot discriminate based on race, gender, blah, blah.
Just like our constitutional amendment voted on several years ago defining marriage as between a man and woman. That one was overturned based on the 14th amendment that claims everyone must be treated the same regardless of race, gender, blah blah.
So if you all can figure out, good luck.
What all of these decisions point out is that the SC is no different than any other political body, it's members either rule according to the constitution or it rules according to it's members wishes and dreams and political ideals.

I will note that California DID pass such a provision a couple decades back, and it's still in force.
When the Democrats took supermajority control of both state houses the Hispanics and their white enablers tried to get that repealed. There were a bunch of Asian state Senators and Assemblyfools who went along with the Party hierarchy. Their constituents brought out the long knives and they were forced to very publicly back down.
If there is one tripwire, one third-rail in this state, you do not try to shut the gate on UC admissions for Asian family kids. It's undoubtedly narrowed bureaucratically, but even the Single-Party State has to keep that sub-rosa.

A. Average PWC tax bill is now authorized to increase roughly 3% per year per BoS actions!
B.On last Tuesday night, the Board voted to change County FOIA policy so all elected officials will need to personally pay to obtain requested information from the County or other Supervisors. When I attended my niece's UC law-school graduation some time back I was stunned at the number of blacks crossing the stage.
I mean, undoubtedly many of them are very bright and deserved to be there. But I'm also sure that the racial mix of the graduating class was in no way representative of the applicant pool or that of the state or the local community.

Bookies are reporting that bets are 6 leave to 1 stay but that the stay bet is more than 6 times the leave.
If leave wins it will be because God flooded London and made vote rigging unpalatable. The fix was in and is likely to still be in unless God intervenes.

I was born to a WASP lady who met a Spanish man (as in, from actual Spain) during his time here in college, and promptly given up for adoption, eventually to be adopted by some very, very white people. By the government's elastic standards I'm Hispanic, and by current standards the fact that I don't look or sound Hispanic wouldn't keep me from claiming any benefits. But I had a nice, lower-middle-class upbringing that taught me honesty and responsibility, and claiming an identity that wasn't mine didn't seem right.

For those not following the whole thing: understand that Leave beats Remain MASSIVELY among Tory voters. So the Tory government has been dependent on Labour, Green, and the rest to bring in the Remain vote.
If Cameron's Remain push fails, it costs Labour and the rest very little, but it costs Cameron everything.
It's been posited that Gove and Boris would urge Cameron to stay on in the event of a Leave victory...but it will be a hollow gesture as heir apparent Chancellor George Osborne so badly gut-shot himself during the referendum campaign that he cannot continue. So even if Dave hangs around for a while, the succession would have been hijacked by Leave.

Because this is a "change" election.
Traditional polling is an excellent indicator in normal elections. This is because it depends on formulas that extrapolate historical trends in the form of "weighting" which transforms the raw data into what pollsters believe will be the end results.
This works fine in normal years when a traditional incumbent faces a traditional opponent and the election is fought in the narrow band of swing or "undecided" voters, following historical turnout trends.
In a "change" election, all this shit goes out the window. When faced with the status quo or change, the public acts based on the perception of the how things are now.
If people are happy, employed, secure and optimistic about the future, the status quo candidate will win. This is rare and only happens when things are going extraordinarily well. Reagan to Bush was one of those times.
When things are not going well, change wins every time.
In Britain, people don't perceive things as being the best of times. Exiting the EU is the "change" candidate, so it follows that it would do well.

Cameron already said that if Exit won the vote, he would invoke "Rule 50" what ever the hell that means and it would takes at least 2 years
There's a better than good chance that if Exit wins, Cameron will be out on his hind end within a month or less.

The post of Darrell Hannan speaking to the Oxford Union made me want to weep. Here was a real patriot, speaking against his own best interest (as an MEP), but for his home country. He laid out brilliant and cogent arguments and responded to spontaneous questions without notes or a teleprompter, and was able to quote Tennyson from memory as his finale.

I can't watch Hannan. I'm too bitter. He supported Obama in 2008. He'll have to do something extraordinary for President Trump for me to come around. Bitter bitter bitter.
