Senate Republicans are expected to bring a bipartisan gun control bill to a vote this week despite opposition to the measure from the National Rifle Association and other conservative groups. The measure, spearheaded by centrist GOP Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), would block people on two terrorist watchlists from buying guns.
Sponsors estimate about 10 Senate Republicans are on board with the proposal, and a group of potential allies, including Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) are on the fence.

But any State dumb enough to elect Jerry Brown will do anything. When I lived there they were already buying 50% of their power from WA. Now most of it comes from small gas fired IC turbines. Every Summer when it gets hot now they have rotating blackouts.
The idiot snow flakes would rather sit in the dark than have any power plant. The problem is most of the population lives on the coast where the weather is really mild. In the Winter their heat is from gas and in the Summer they don't need A/C. But the people who live inland out in the desert have to suffer.
Anybody with a brain moved out of the State long ago.

If they "lost" the shooter's wife, it is because they let her go. I suspect that when the government redefines what it means to lose something, it will be redefined as something like - active losing. And the MSM will nod their heads as if they understand what the government spokesperson is saying and they will use it in a few Sunday talking heads programs, and it will be explained away.
There is no way they "lost" her. They allowed her to become lost. I would think that it would be important to know why, but I am not brimming with confidence that, in this day in age, this is within the realm of possibility.
I expect that it this gets any traction at all though, that McConnell, Ryan, Corker, et.al. will be scrambling to get in front of cameras to ensure us that they will, post haste, get to the bottom of this.

They manipulate the budgets to hide large portions of the spending by breaking out the "current" spending and what is used on capital costs, long term benefits and debt interest. This accounting slight of hand is designed to keep people thinking that the expenditure per student is low and that the schools should have more money.
As the Cato Institute found, in the District of Columbia schools the stated per pupil per year expenditure was $17,542 (2010). The real expenditure was $28,170.

The problem with Madison in this type of thing is that it's not like a lot of cities with distinct "bad" areas. It's got bad spread almost throughout the entire thing with the exception of some ritzier areas by the lakes. If shit turns to rioting the entire city could go, not just a few blocks.
