CNN Breaking: Baltimore Cop Found Not Guilty on All Charges in Freddie Gray Persecution

Yeah I did that deliberately.

These Social Justice Show Trials will be a much more common thing in the future.

Plus, eventually everyone will learn their lesson from the riots that will be coming, and we'll begin convicting the innocent to appease the mobs.

Before George Zimmerman was even formally charged in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, figures in the black community were saying things like "What we insist on is a conviction."

Not "we want this to go to trial", but openly demanding a conviction of Zimmerman as a preordained guaranteed outcome.

And Florida officialdom (terrified of Disney World being burned down by irate black mobs, which was a specific threat), did about all they could possibly do to deliver a kangaroo-court conviction.

On the heels of the similar posed photo in front of the giant Che Guevara mural in Havana. For a hard-core movement leftist, these are like pilgrimages.

Obama has a scrapbook to fill with happy memories, while he's still able to circle the globe and record red-carpet VIP welcomes and state dinners with all of it at public expense.

I had previously said that as distasteful as all of this is, we should be gritting our teeth and encouraging it, to keep Obama out of D.C. and actively doing damage.

What I hadn't counted on is that the collaborationist wing of the Senate GOP (which is pretty much all of it) would be busy enacting all of the Obama agenda anyway, letting Obama simultaneously have his world tour and his wish list via remote control.

If they lose, they scream about "injustice," and use the loss to agitate among the disaffected, which was the whole idea in the first place.

I respect and likely would have supported the Jim Crow era maluse of the gambit.

I do not support its use to render a defacto racially schismed two tier justice system.

I'll believe DoJ's motives are pure when a white guy gets eleventy kajillion dollars b/c a black Las Vegas cop "denied his civil rights" in rolling him with little PC.

Civil Rights charges are different, supposedly, than regular criminal charges. That is how DOJ has worked around local judges and juries. Despise the Civil Rights DOJ group right now because they are pushing to the illogical end of that thinking. As it stands now, you could be charged criminally for administrative violations, criminal violations, and federal violations. If that isn't triple (and double) jeopardy, I'm a monkey's uncle.

What's not getting focus is how outrageous the charges were against this particular officer. He only responded to the arresting officers' call and wasn't responsible for the van drive. The theory for his guilt was that because he wasn't initially on the scene, so that he didn't personally see "probable cause", his actions on Freddie Gray were an assault and a reckless endagerment. There was no way a judge was going to convict on this. I actually expected the judge to flay the prosecutors, but he has to swim in Baltimore waters.

Logic of separate federal charges is that the fed crime has different elements. Bringing a federal civil rights case is in theory difficult because you have to show that the officers "conspired" beforehand. There doesn't appear to be any evidence to support that. Instead the officers got involved randomly.

Ironically, if you wanted to go there the key figure was the prosecutor herself, who gave an order that the particular corner Freddie Gray was on get extra attention because it had become a drug hot spot.

Interesting stat that (IIRC) shootings are up more than killings, which means more guns on the street and more random shit, which means the killings will include more innocents. Baltimore shooters used to be far more accurate than those in Chicago, for example, which meant they tended to kill other bad guys. Not so much anymore.

The hypocrisy abounds. Hillary will allude to this in her call for more common sense gun control.

257 Thunder B -

I lift up my eyes to the mountains -
where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip -
he who watches over you will not slumber.

indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you -
the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm -
he will watch over your life.

The Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Amen. Psalm 121

258 "So the black mayor, the black police chief, most of the jury in the case, and the entire populace is racist? Who knew?"

It's all about the sweet federal money.
They have sold their souls so they don't have to work for a living.

The populace is angry at themselves for being wusses. They want someone to pay and they don't want it to be themselves.

They will starve to death after they run all the people who are capable out. probably won't happen because somebody will send in missionaries to feed them and try to save their souls.

Freddie Gray...you probably don't need to go head banging when your bones are brittle Casper.

260 So....this summer is going to be reaaaaalllly eventful, no?

Starting off the Memorial Day weekend with Baltimore riots. How many MD police officer set to be tried on the Freddie Gray death? Ugh.

Especially when followed by endless bitching about being "underserved" by businesses and enterprise.

264 "Id say the career criminal element in this country has it pretty damned good."

The career criminal in Assholechusetts who murdered a cop the other day, and tried his damndest to kill some more cops after he was hunted down, certainly had few grounds for complaint. A record as long as your arm of heavy offenses, and very little time in stir to show for it all.

277 71 What I haven't seen mentioned here and maybe it has is some good news. A federal judge ordered sanctions against the DOJ and it's lawyers citing multiple ethics charges and lying to the court. This was the US vs Texas immigration lawsuit brought by 26 states.
_____________________

It was barely mentioned anywhere, except a few conservative sites.

The Obama DOJ blatantly and repeatedly ignored a federal court's injunction and continued to issue DACA amnesties to over 100,000 illegal aliens, all while repeatedly lying to the federal judge about it.

So what's the penalty? The lying DOJ lawyers have to take a few ethics classes.

Yeah, that'll leave a mark.

278 I am very surprised that there have not been appeasement convictions regardless of facts.

The pattern being established is:

-Police brutality supposed due to systemic racism

-Investigation finds no wrongdoing

-SJWs and BLM and media (and Obama) sound off that verdict is a travesty and demonstrates yet more racism

-Ugly protests with violence

Soon jurors will figure (1) where there is smoke (so many prosecutions and investigations) there has to be fire; and (2) convict to appease.

Going to get very ugly.
