As we sat there the battery was CB'd. Old Mother Earth felt awfully good for a while.
Reports about midnight indicate over 1000 PW's taken and attack going fairly well.

CP = Command Post

I've read five different accounts of the Austrian melee, and there is a certain lack of specificity. They do report that the outdoor concert was organized by a motorcycle club (which can mean something different in Yerp), but, no certainty of whether it was a rifle, shotgun, or EBR ("long gun"). And, glaring omission, nobody says what kind of music was being played. I noticed that right away, because in this country the weapon type and style of music would have been a KulturKrieg thing.
One can only surmise this is another in a string of Oom-Pah Murders.

Was a local news story about a fire in a duplex that killed a pair of twins, baby boys 1 year old. Horrible.
Niggling details though. The fire was too hot for the firemen to enter when they arrived. And the babies were home alone. Fire started in a back stairwell area.
I really hope it isn't what it looks like.

It's a damn shame about Acapulco.
The wife and I have stayed at Las Brisas a number of times and loved it. Pink Jeeps, private pools, looking over the bay at the lights of Acapulco, it was a great spot to relax.
There are (or were) some pretty good restaurants in town too.
It would probably be fairly easy to clean house if the government there wasn't as corrupt as the gangs.
It's a damn shame about Acapulco.

I think if NATO wasn't supporting most of Europe, (which is funded mostly by the US) then they would all have less to spend on social programs..

It's a damn shame about Acapulco.
The wife and I have stayed at Las Brisas a number of times and loved
it. Pink Jeeps, private pools, looking over the bay at the lights of
Acapulco, it was a great spot to relax.
There are (or were) some pretty good restaurants in town too.
It would probably be fairly easy to clean house if the government there wasn't as corrupt as the gangs.

Acapulco. All the natural beauty of that crescent beach and the hills behind. Say, I know! Let's pump the town's sewage out into the bay. And allow beach vendors to swarm over the tourists trying to get a suntan like ants on a dropped donut at a picnic. Getting a tan is impossible - they block out the sun. Much is being made of how Hillary and Trump now have historically high net unfavorables. I think they could go even higher, especially Hillary's.
But you can have an unfavorable opinion of someone and still vote for them. I'm an example. Trump is an asshole, but he's my asshole.
With both candidates having high net negatives, math says that many people have unfavorable opinions of both. I expect this is true of many independents. Question is then, how do they break, and how many just stay home. Separate polling questions show Trump leading Hllary with independents

But you can have an unfavorable opinion of someone and still vote for them. I'm an example. Trump is an asshole, but he's my asshole.
With both candidates having high net negatives, math says that many people have unfavorable opinions of both. I expect this is true of many independents. Question is then, how do they break, and how many just stay home. Separate polling questions show Trump leading Hllary with independents

The Democrat Propaganda Press is adopting the theme Trump is surging in the polls because the primary fight is over and GOP voters are consolidating in support of the nominee. Politico, like most Propaganda Press, clearly expects Hilldogger will get the same bump once Bernie recognizes the inevitable.
Bernie is different though: he's won more primaries since March 1 than Clinton and if you exclude the votes she has from states the GOP clearly will win in November, he's very competitive overall. Hillary still might lose the FBI primary if there is any justice left in America.
Bernie will hopefully stick around all the way into June or even July, like Hilldogger did in 2008.
There may not be a "consolidation bump" Democrats...

All AF air to ground support pilots for rescue missions are referred to as "Sandy" by the downed pilots, as in when LCDR Cole calls in the strike on his position toward the end of Flight o' teh Intruder: "I'd do the same for you, Sandy."

He will win 50 states if he aggressively attacks the democrat's relationship with minorities. Spend the ad dollars asking "How is that working out for you?" to blacks. Ask Hispanics if they would like the democrats to "help" them the same way they've "helped" African americans.
Trump is in a great position to change the narrative and show that the Democrat Party is a con job designed to use minorities to line the pockets of the democrat elite.

I read the cop killer story. He was arrested by Massachusetts state police within the last week before he killed the cop at the traffic stop and he had a long record.

I remember once reading an account by a failed suicide jumper from the Golden Gate bridge. Said as soon as his fingers let go of the railing, he knew he'd made a terrible mistake. Said he'd been in a deep depression for months, couldn't wait to die, had felt almost gleeful as he went onto the bridge and climbed up the railing -- then had his moment of clarity a second too late. Spent months in a hospital recovering, and has some permanent disabilities from the fall.
Still, I'm not convinced that killing the lions here was the right call. Their lives have value too, and they were the innocent parties in the scenario.

IIRC the Baltimore cop facing today's verdict responded to the arresting officers' call and wasn't responsible for the van drive. The theory for his guilt is that because he wasn't initially on the scene, so that he didn't personally see "probable cause", his actions on Freddie Gray were an assault. The cop asked for a judge not a jury because there's no way a judge will convict on this, Let Us Pray.

250 IIRC the Baltimore cop facing today's verdict responded to the arresting officers' call and wasn't responsible for the van drive. The theory for his guilt is that because he wasn't initially on the scene, so that he didn't personally see "probable cause", his actions on Freddie Gray were an assault. The cop asked for a judge not a jury because there's no way a judge will convict on this, Let Us Pray.
