What the so-called "conservative" Bob Englis says about the AGW scam:
What conservative wouldn't jump at the chance to reduce taxes on income and shift taxes onto really anything else? he said during a recent discussion. It makes sense to un-tax income, something we want more of, and shift the tax to CO2, something you want less of. It's a no-brainer- change what you tax. Bullshit on several score: It certifies the lie that there is global warming when it doesn't exist. Any "tax" proposed here will not result in eliminating or reducing any tax anywhere else. They always promise that and then "forget" that promise when they actually pass the law. He also had a very liberal cross-over vote record previously on the AGW scam and voted with the Democrats on the Iraq war. There is a reason he is an "ex-Senator" in SC. But to the news media he is a conservative, the kind the news media likes. Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at May 24, 2016 10:09 AM (vvmPQ) 17

Um, can someone please explain why Angelina Jolie will be a visiting professor at the London School of Economics?
Angelina Jolie Pitt is taking her passion for women's rights and gender equality to the classroom. The actress, 40, is set to join the London School of Economics as a visiting professor for the new masters course on women, peace and security for the 2016-2017 school year. As a visiting professor, Jolie Pitt will deliver guest lectures, participate in workshop and public events, and continue research on projects. He, along with the committee chairman and members of the Freedom Caucus like Raul Labrador, put forth a bill that allows PR to restructure their debt under the auspices of an oversight board. There is no, repeat no, federal bailout money involved. Here is the WSJ calling it an example of conservative principles being used to fix a problem caused by liberal principles. http://tinyurl.com/hoovtoe Best part is that because of the urgency of getting something done Ryan got Obama and much of the left to cave and go along with it with a few notable exceptions like Uncle Bernie who absolutely wanted a government bailout. Historical art has often been used to understand the culture from the time the art was produced, like the Morgan/Maciejowski Bible showing biblical events with arms and armor from the time.
I'd love to see something similar from today. Jesus riding into town on a humble bus, with throngs of people taking photos with their phones, and the modern Pharisees in the background, leftist protestors and their thought-leaders. Posted by: Grimaldi at May 24, 2016 10:26 AM (MsZQY) 53

about Egypt air
had to be at least four nations watching air traffic in that region, not to mention spy satellites. They know what happened they just dont know who. If the aircraft was at fault, all aircraft of that model would be grounded. If it was a maintenance issue ,all Egypt Air aircraft would be grounded. they have a pretty good idea what happened already. They need to more closely examine the passenger manifest and the cargo. Thank you jackstraw.
I get it now. The bill offers debt relief to Puerto Rico in return for a mechanism to overrule the territory's feckless current government and impose reform. Ryan is going to appoint an emergency manager like Michigan did for Detroit, only Ryan is going one better. Instead of one person, Ryan is going with a blue ribbon panel of experts who will have to modify pensions that were promised to retirees since Puerto Rico doesn't have the money to pay them. WSJ doesn't mention the bonds, or the bond holders who are holding the bag, but the White House spokesman Joshing Earnestly was quick to point out the mean spirited Republicans are too mean to give people the money they so richly deserved. Footnote: As far as I know, Detroit is still bankrupt, but now the State of Michigan is being blamed for all the problems, and has assumed all the liabilities, like the quality of drinking water in Flint. Footnote two: "Debt Relief' means paying out the money that Puerto Rico doesn't have using federal funds. Where that money goes is yet to be determined by the blue ribbon panel who will make recommendations on who should get that money. But this is not a bail out. because everyone says so. I didn't make an appeal to anything. I merely pointed out that this was not in fact a bailout, just the opposite, and that an organization like the WSJ said it was an excellent example of using conservative principles to solve a government problem. There's a whole world wide web of information on this bill which has been under debate in the House Natural Resources Committee for months. It's not like this is a surprise to anyone who has been following what has been happening and it is very important which way this goes because there are a number of states heading to the exact same destination. LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) -- A comparison of records by David Goldstein, investigative reporter for CBS2/KCAL9, has revealed hundreds of so-called dead voters in Southern California, a vast majority of them in Los Angeles County.
"He took a lot of time choosing his candidates," said Annette Givans of her father, John Cenkner. Cenkner died in Palmdale in 2003. Despite this, records show that he somehow voted from the grave in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010. But he's not the only one. CBS2 compared millions of voting records from the California Secretary of State's office with death records from the Social Security Administration and found hundreds of so-called dead voters. ... the poll workers had no idea if the real John Cenkner had ever come to the polls because they never saw any ID.
