3 Rubio quote from the Wounded Warrior Project story:

"Anyone who is out there claiming to be helping wounded veterans but then is in fact taking that money and spending it on themselves -- I think they deserve not to just be examined but quite frankly there should be consequences for that, so I support Sen. Grassley's inquiry and we'll see where it leads."

Thanks Mario.

That's like saying money that's supposed to go to kids' lunches, if you spend it on yourself, I think that's WRONG! Not just wrong, but really bad wrong!

Idiot.

8 This is what pisses me off about faggot ass "CON-servitves" like Ryan, dude goes to a forum to decry the loss of religious liberty to fund raise and not to the well of the house to excoriate the administration that is doing it.

He is also uniquely positioned to push forward legislation to claw back these losses of freedom but instead his attention is focused on bailing out the failed common wealth of Puerto Rico and passing amnesty.

Fuck that guy, Paul Ryan is an asshole fuck face, he's not a conservative and he needs to be Cantored.

McCain in fight for his political life

What pisses me off is that, even if he loses, the worthless old fuck will still be digging into my pocket via his federal pension to keep his tax-fatted maverick ass in comfort and luxury.

Someone said yesterday that McStain ought to be given a high colonic and dumped out in the desert to find his way back home. Add in a canteen of salt water and a lunch box of cockroach pate, and I'll personally fly that asshole to the deepest, most remote area of Death Valley.

11 How about BS for Bovines:

Add up all the cows in the United States, or those in nations like India
or China, which are consuming greater amounts of meat, and you have a
significant contributor to global warming.

The fact that cows and other herd animals have been farting for tens of thousands of years with no impact on the climate should be enough to prove there is no such damn thing as global warming. We are currently in global cooling on the way for another ice age and criminals are still barking mad over global warming?

---------------------------------------------------------

Because the Constitution does not limit the President's right to veto a bill once it arrives at his desk. He can veto, like the plain language of the Constitution says, and the Senate can override. Likewise, they are given that ability in the plain language. So, go for it Obama. Let the entertainment ensue.

39 Good morning Morons!

Very little to report in polling today, but that is probably because there are things going to happen today or tomorrow.

The poll that Ace reported on yesterday did not enter the RCP average and RCP also dropped the dated USA Today/Suffolk and the GWU/Battleground polls out of their average. This results in an average Clinton lead of 5.2%.

The poll yesterday showed that Trump remains stuck at 40%. I will be watching for new polls from Suffolk and Battleground to see if he is showing any movement from his ceiling.

One other tidbit that came out yesterday that is very important as people consider the possible electoral map in November. An analysis was completed on the Trump voters in the primaries. As we all know the vote totals in the primaries were way up. Who were these new primary voters?

The Trump supporters have contended that these are new voters and Dem cross overs who will allow rust belt states to be in play in November. Unfortunately, this turned out to not be true. These new voters came from the ranks of GOP supporters who historically vote in the general election but not in the primary.

This could yield some benefit with regard to turn out of the base, but it will not put light blue states in play. Expect that the election will continue to be fought on the traditional battleground states, meaning that Florida, Ohio, Virginia, and Colorado are still the must win states to get to 270.

How do you judge collaboration and communication with an online test?

Plus what does proficient in tech skills mean? The ability to use Word, Excel, etc.?

This whole thing seems to be an exercise is testing uselessness. Or a matter of, boys do better on the math and science portion, so let's create a tech skills and communication portion.

72 The hot prospects in nursing are all in doing something other than nursing. Assistant doctors, educators, and most of all, managers. So if you're educated as a nurse and have a lot of ambition, you'll end up an administrator. But you'll be paid well.

Nurses work weird shifts and ungodly hours. It's important work, but to do it well requires a level of absorption. This causes many nurses to have odd politics.

The last I heard hospitals nationwide are screaming for nurses, particularly RNs. The shortage is acute. I have a nephew (yes male) who just graduated from a nursing program in GA and was hired immediately after graduation.

The only drawback I have heard is that due to that same shortage you will be working massive amounts of OT.

77 Votermom, if you're daughter develops a genuine interest in nursing, I don't know of a field that offers greater opportunities.

My niece got her nursing BS and immediately went to work in the ICU at the largest hospital in the area. Within a few months she enrolled in a distance-learning nurse practitioner program at very little cost to her. Now she's completed that and she's a Nurse Practitioner.

She's 27 years old.

78 "Oregon!" Bernie shouts. "I love you Oregon! From your rural hicks in the sticks all the way to the tattooed freaks of Portland!"
"Yeah, Oregon is really been good to you," Reuben says, then he lowers his voice, "But who are these folks who got on the bus?"
The ancient vehicle creaks and groans as it gets on the road, close to its maximum weight capacity.
"Those are SJW's - you find them in all of the hip, cool, with it places. They're far out and support me!"
Reuben eyes the behemoths that fill the seats, their adipose spilling into the aisle.
"But what are they? Human, I suppose..."
"They were, now they are TrigglyPuffs - beings of obesity and rage. You don't have the skills to handle them - don't get near, don't say anything and for the love of Lenin do not trigger them. We got to get back to Kentucky."
"Why Kentucky?"
"Hillary thinks she won there, but I'm going to demand a recount and if I don't get it, well then I'm going to release the TrigglyPuffs on those mountain morons."
Reuben shudders at the horrors that await the Bluegrass state when Bernie arrives.

***********

"Hillary! Darling! You won a primary! Why are you not happy?"
"A primary Huma. A. Primary. One. And I lost Oregon - the west coast is mine! All mine! A fiefdom that I claim!"
Her claw like hand grasps the GPS and crushes it.
"And it was close, so close. That senile socialist will come wandering back to steal what is mine and I will not have that happen."
"But what can you do?"
"I need a plan, I need to make changes, something so out-of-the-blue he can't prepare for it."
"Are you going to build a tank out of an old Impala?"
"Hmmm. No, that's way too blue collar for me, I had enough of that in Arkansas. Something more with it."
"Become a superhero? That's what all the movies are."
"You may have something there, you just may," Hillary cackles.

Yes, it's pretty common to see a nurse practitioner or a PA instead of a doctor these days. As far as nursing goes, everyone thinks of the ER, but there are so many specialties to get into. Most of my friends are pediatric and oncology nurses. A few are plant nurses and school nurses. They have the best hours, but competition is stiff. You have to pay your dues to get those jobs.

The hours are not brutal if you can land a job in a clinic or in a university or corporate health department. Home-care nurses also have the flexibility to set their own hours.

My sister is an RN and works in the student health department of a local college. She gets PTO during the Christmas break, as well as her regular vacations. She would never go back to working at a hospital.

That's the problem - hospitals have nursing shortages because RNs can opt to work in places with better hours and conditions. Right out of school, a RN might have to put in time at a hospital but after gaining experience, there are other options.

106 Good morning everyone.

Always interesting to see what the Outrage Outlet has for us. Thanks, Mikey.

votermom, I have a very close friend who has been a nurse for over 25 years. I admire her so much because I am way too much of a wimp to ever be able to do a job like that (blood and guts, etc. I just can't.)

It's been great for her in many ways. First of all, when she had her kids she was able to stay on, in a very part-time manner, with shifts worked around her husband's work hours so they never had to get a sitter.

Secondly, they were able to go on her health insurance, which is way better than her husband's.

Thirdly, when her husband was unemployed for over a year, she was easily able to go full-time while her husband looked for a new job and took care of the things she normally took care of. It was very freeing for them to have that income and the husband eventually wound up with a great job.

Fourthly, she works in a very well-known hospital and having been there so long, knows all the docs. When anything goes majorly wrong with family or friends, she is able to get them in to see the best docs right away.

Possibly. But the question implies the whole of humanity. I know that it is difficult not to separate out the individuals or groups, but (as corny as this sounds) we are in this together. I think that the problem may lay in a perspective that considers individuals and groups and fails to look at the whole of humanity and the solution may lay in considering the whole without exceptions.

141 Macca, I'll take a stab at this.

God always looks at each of us individually. "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." He wants each of us to do the right thing, always, but gave us free will, so sadly we don't always do the right thing.

In terms of society as a whole, I think looking at the big picture shows us that taking God out of our culture has only been bad for our culture. I think this might be what you are referring to?

I agree that we would be much better off if society as a whole went back to Godliness. How can that be achieved? By individuals, coming to God on their own. Forced religion is not real (I know that's not what you meant anyway).

God is patient with us. Time and again He has given us second, third, fourth chances. He is a loving Father.

144 Missus Muldoon is a lifelong nurse. The field has such a wide of sub-areas, ranging from Nurse's Aides to Advanced Practice RNs and everything in between. There are some yucky parts, that are not for everyone. Missus M. did critical care flight nursing when she was younger- some real thrilling stuff. That was her all time favorite nursing job.

There is a lot of flexibility and always a demand for good nurses. Provides a skillset with lifelong applicability and opportunities. Some people can't handle the whole yucky, bodily fluids, people dying, self-destructive a**hole patients aspects of the hospital-based nursing jobs.

I agree with the commenter who said doing volunteer work might help a young high school kid decide if it appeals to her.

The FBI has made available their file on Jim Jones. If you go thru them, you can see it was Jones plotting against everyone else. They were big on false charges of child sexual abuse to get parents trying to get their grandchildren out of the cult.

190 A panel of three judges from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that "the right to purchase and sell firearms is part and parcel of the historically recognized right to keep and bear arms." Writing for the majority in the case Judge Diarmuid O'Scannlain, a Reagan appointee, said "the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and to bear arms is not a 'second-class right, subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees that we have held to be incorporated into the Due Process Clause.'"

"If 'the right of the people to keep and bear arms' is to have any force, the people must have a right to acquire the very firearms they are entitled to keep and to bear. One cannot truly enjoy a constitutionally protected right when the state is permitted to snuff out the means by which he exercises it."

206 Hillary partisans always brag about how Hilldogger has more pledged delegates than Bernie and 3 million more actual votes than he does. True enough, but look at where many of those votes came from: states where (with the possible exceptions of Virginia and Florida) the Democrats will almost certainly lose in the fall. In Democrat states and purple industrial states, like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and the like, Hillary and Bernie are neck-in-neck overall.

The vote advantage she has in in states she won't win in the fall and comes largely from African American voters turned out by the President on her behalf. I totally get why Bernie keeps at this election. If the FBI enters the race, Democrats won't be able to choose Biden and Bernie has a real shot at beating Trump (if you believe the polls, which I personally do not). Besides, it's refreshing having a semi-honest Democrat in that race.

Keep at it, Bernie!

Because some or many of the dam and maybe even a few RINOs might switch their vote after a Veto...it has happened before but I still do not expect it to happen this time

214 I actually seem to recall some years ago the 9th Circuit saying that Form III firearms that are 100% produced in state are exempt from federal regulations.

215 11 How about BS for Bovines:

Add up all the cows in the United States, or those in nations like India
or China, which are consuming greater amounts of meat, and you have a
significant contributor to global warming.

The fact that cows and other herd animals have been farting for tens of thousands of years with no impact on the climate should be enough to prove there is no such damn thing as global warming. We are currently in global cooling on the way for another ice age and criminals are still barking mad over global warming?

Fart efficacy is situation specific. There's a wrong time and place for that.

Of course, this will likely mean a redoubling of their efforts to root out the wreckers, the hooligans, the revisionists, and the antisocial. ( Insert your favorite Stalinist/ Leninist phrase here).

These people are Communist totalitarians, after all.

226 Venezuela is facing hyperinflation, food and electricity shortages that are sharpening public anger against the unpopular Maduro.
But the president, who controls the levers of power, has rejected all blame for his country's plight.

Kentucky primary votes

Hillary Clinton 212,549
Bernie Sanders 210,626
Martin O'Malley 5,720
Rocky De La Fuente 1,592
Other 24,122

If Bernie had got the O'Malley voters...
Who is this Rocky fellow?

Depends on fart volume and concentration, wind velocity and direction, and whether or not its is own fart or someone else he's trying to light. There's also the ignition source to consider. When it comes to farts, no one is innocent.

236 Read the GMO article linked.

This will surely cause a major meltdown in the crazy gaia loving world. Like the race industry, the anti GMO, anti Monsanto, anti Roundup crowd depends on their psuedo science that declares all of this to be highly dangerous, causing everything from global warming to cancer to brain damage, etc., to keep the funding coming in.

I can remember when the Rodale Society a decade ago PROMOTED the use of RoundUp as an heribcide in members gardens etc. because studies have shown it breaks down in most conditions within a few days to inert ingredients , water, etc. Then the anti science crowd started screaming at them and they quietly removed the recommendation and started advocating using gallons of white vinegar, etc. to burn the plants out.......
