WASHINGTON (AP) -- A federal judge ruled Thursday that the Obama administration is unconstitutionally spending federal money to fund the president's health care law.
The ruling from U.S. District Judge Rosemary Collyer [nominated by President George W. Bush] is a win for House Republicans who brought the politically charged legal challenge in an effort to undermine the law. At stake is $175 billion the government is paying over a decade to reimburse health insurers for reducing co-payments for lower-income people. The House argued that Congress never specifically appropriated that money and has denied the administration's request for it. It says the administration is spending the money anyway, exceeding its constitutional authority. The administration has said it is using other, previously approved money. The company backed away from a pure-algorithm approach in 2014 after criticism that it had not included enough coverage of unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, in users' feeds. Excellent example of the distortion that infests almost literally every sentence of "news" coverage. WTF is a "politically charged legal challenge"? Is it a valid challenge or not? Yep, it is (and obviously so). It is "undermining" a law to ensure that it is implemented properly, in accord with its own language and long-standing unquestioned principles of appropriation by Congress? Utter nonsense. Why didn't someone tell us about this Patreon website earlier?
I've been trying to figure out how I can turn my interpretive dance that shows how liberalism sucks (but not in a good way like when you're getting a blowjob) into a lot of money. I would like to bring a dance troupe to college campuses across the country with this message, but I'm going to need about $50K per month. Patreon looks like the answer. >>Has TrigglyPuff gotten her bleg on?
Only seen a friend play the victim card on her behalf, and she's demanding that the university punish the person who recorded trigglypuff and put it on the internet. And also, that someone tagging a comment she made on the website for the Milo speech (i.e. noticing she posted some heckling online) was libel. They're always the victim, you see, even when they attend an event for the express purpose of disrupting it. http://preview.tinyurl.com/hms3wnx Posted by: Lizzy at May 12, 2016 02:27 PM (NOIQH) Posted by: Mossberg 500/590 at May 12, 2016 02:27 PM (aXKCe) 117

Shotguns - got a 500 - in fact, in a few minutes gonna go replace the little brass bead sight on the long barrel (I have the version that comes with the 18.5" and 28" inch barrels, and highly recommend it, nice versatility in one platform) - note to others with this barrel, the little sights can work themselves lose and fly away.
I'm gonna put a dab of lock-tite (the "breakable" one, not the permanent one, forget which one is blue or red) on the threads to avoid a repetition. Posted by: rhomboid at May 12, 2016 02:31 PM (QDnY+) 131

88 Is this the thread where we get to make fun of people who take innocent words like "cuckhold" and turn them into something racist?
Posted by: jwest at May 12, 2016 02:17 PM (Zs4uk) ------------------ The word is cuckold. When certain groups popularize and explicitly politicize a word that is rarely used in normal discourse, usage of that word and it's new abbreviated form ("cuck") identifies the user with...certain groups. Of course, if you are using it in the traditional sense, it has no political meaning. Using it (or defending the use of it) as a political word suggests ....something. WTF is a "politically charged legal challenge"?
*********** According to the uneducated media's opinion, and by their standards--which is the dominant ruling metric of the land. Well if it was --so politically charged---wouldn't the judges dismiss it as a "political question "? However, it appears they did not. They took the case, they found that it had standing--and they made a ruling. Posted by: Danube River Guide at May 12, 2016 02:34 PM (mcm0N) 139

Burnt Toast - yep, the Anti-Deficiency Act - the oddly named law that basically implements the constitutional power of Congress to control spending.
Ain't gonna happen, but would be hilarious to see this case move up the chain so that Roberts can once again tear up a fundamental (and common-sensical) area of constitutional law and just make up s**t to replace it. One wonders whether even something as basic and astonishing as a gutting of the Anti-Deficiency Act would elicit a response from the legislative branch. My guess - not much would happen. And then the essential abolition of Congress in its constitutional role would be complete. In a formal sense. The CR/omnibus + ludicrous "shut-down" kabuki have already created this situation, de facto. Posted by: rhomboid at May 12, 2016 02:37 PM (QDnY+) 152

It's should be understood by everyone by now that millennials/SJW's/whatever you want to call them aren't actually offended or triggered by anything, right? Rather, they have exploited the profitability of victimhood and, to a slightly lesser extent, enjoy a deranged sociopathic satisfaction derived from perceived retribution from ruining a stranger's life. What we are experiencing is Social Darwinism in reverse wherein society's losers and inferiors have united collectively to achieve their individual ends. It's much like a toddler hysterically crying "it's not fair" until he/she gets what it wants or a woman crying at a traffic stop to get out of a speeding ticket - but in broad cultural context.
Humans find solace in collective failure. When I failed a geometry exam in 10th grade, my initial feelings were of shame and embarrassment because I didn't study or pay attention in class - perhaps I didn't have the brains to pass this particular test. But then I asked a friend how he did - he also failed. Another friend failed. The shame lifted and we bonded over our collective failure. Then the conversation turned to how unfair the test was and how poor the teacher is. We shifted responsibility from ourselves to the education system. Then we learned more people failed and the class pressured the teacher to lower the standards and grade on a curve for the next test. This is an innocuous example of have SJW's succeed on a grand scale. Stop mocking these people for being delicate snowflakes - they aren't, they have you wrapped around their finger. They expertly performing the sociopathic manipulation of others' good will to escape responsibility, judgement, accountability, achievement standards etc. Posted by: mike at May 12, 2016 02:55 PM (YMpXZ) 160
