I live directly across the street from a place called Aroma Coffee Bar. At about 4 in the afternoon, I look out the window to see a very loud group of about 20 miscreants, flanked by about 100 police, shouting and chanting. For those not aware, Aroma is owned by Israelis.

There evidently was some May Day protest in Union Square and these Joo-hating bastards must have slithered down here to SoHo to harass decent people on an otherwise quiet Sunday.

52 Good morning Morons!

New polls are starting to enter the RCP average, and we are starting to see some tightening of the general election matchup. Of course the big news last week was the Rasmussen poll that showed a tie. This week IBD/TIPP is finding Trump only training Clinton by 7.

Overall the average is Clinton 47.4% and Trump 40.1%, for a lead of 7.3% on average. The changes we are seeing are weakening of her support, not increase in Trump's support. People who were saying they would vote for Clinton are moving into undecided.

In congress there is no change, the Dems will pick up at least 3 in the Senate and 12 in the House.

Seems like I recall a court case where abortion protestors we shouting and blocking the entrance to an abortion mill. The court ruled that yes they could have their protest but it had to occur across the street such that people still had access to come and go freely from the clinic.

I'm cool with that.

The VP isn't all that critical to me except in the sense of how it might hurt a ticket - I don't think it tends to do much to make a ticket popular, with the notable exception of Palin.

Scott Adams is hoping for Marc Cuban which would be admittedly awesome, although Trump is saying he wants somebody with specifically political experience.

On that front, a number of politicians have pre-emptively said - publicly - they aren't interested, while Trump is starting to go around repairing bridges, behind the scenes.

So I'm looking at persons who have abruptly changed their tune and you know what stuck out?

Newt. Horrible choice, but Newt went from saying Trump would be literally insane to choose him to a much more moderate stance recently.

I do not support it, but have at it you guys...

80 Speaking of global warming I was watching a documentary over the weekend about plate tectonics volcanoes, earthquakes and how they have formed the earths surfer. It was on PBS but was actually pretty good. Until it took an unexpected (or rather fully expected) turn and delved into climate and how it affects our earth. What this has to do with plate tectonics is anybodies guess but naturally it focused on global warming and it's causes. Naturally CO2 emissions were brought up. Repeatedly. In fact, as it turns out, those emission not only effect climate and temperature, they are the main driver More important that the sun or water really. (Just look at Venus!) This was all presented in a very calms, non-partisan manner by seemingly rational people from NASA, MIT etc... After this brief 10 minute foray into global warming the program returned to it's original subject and was very interesting and informative again

I've noticed this about other documentaries the past few years. Climate change, global warming is almost always inserted somehow, no matter how irrelevant to the original subject. (A very good IMAX movie for the kids the mammoths was ruined for me by this once, will never return) The libs have taken a, obscure theory combined with a paranoid political agenda and hate of oil companies and turned it into a pseudo-science that is now being shoved down everybody's throats at every opportunity.

support, not increase in Trump's support. People who were saying they
would vote for Clinton are moving into undecided.

In congress there is no change, the Dems will pick up at least 3 in the Senate and 12 in the House.
.
.
.
.But, but...but, every liberal or MSM news article I have read says the Dems will pull a Trifecta and take back both the House and Senate this year with Hillary keeping the White House under Dem control for the next 8 years......

98 American Fascism ... The book Jonah Goldberg should have written.

We all know Progressives ... regardless if their uniform of the day is Communsm, Environmentalism, or something else ... are not going to stop. Why should they ? Street fighting works.

We also know ... or at least we all should ... that the police response towards Progressives will always allow MORE rule breaking than what is allowed towards Conservatives. Why ? Because Conservatives are more orderly and law abiding - and thus easier to police.

Ultimate result ? Just like 1930s Germany (you knew it was coming), people are going to have enough, and take to the streets in opposition.

That opposition will be American Fascism. It will be the end of Progressivism and Classical Liberalism alike.

143 96, 97 I'll repost my little investigative piece on John Brennan from late on the ONT thread this am:

Then there is the persistent rumor that Brennan is a muzzie hisself.

Even snopes is unwilling to mark this rumor as false.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/brennan.asp

But they do include the fact that Brennan was sworn in on a copy of the Constitution, not on a Bible; that he was station chief in SA for many years, and that he praised the hajj, a muzzie ceremony that can only be attended by muzzies.

A couple of things snopes left out is him referring to Jerusalem as Al Quds, and him claiming that the Muslim Brotherhood is non-violent and largely secular, right before Egypt threw them out of office and arrested many of them. These things can be seen on youtube clips.

And now Brennan doesn't think much of those redacted 28 pages about SA's involvement in 9/11.

Well Mr. Brennan, I'm thinking you should go fetch your fucking shinebox.

168 It occurred to me this morning that this IN primary tomorrow is a laugh-out-loud riot! Here's what we have:

1) While Trump calls Hillary out for "playing the woman card", Cruz plays it too.
2) Cruz's wife (who's a Lefty) calls her husband an "immigrant" and a Hispanic, apparently thinking that those PC cards will be helpful.
3) While Trump is branding Cruz as "Lyin' Ted", Cruz starts telling Indiana that it's really TRUMP who is the establishment guy!! 5 hospital patients in comas are convinced.
4) The governor of Indiana gives a glowing endorsement of Trump, except that it ends with "but I'm voting for Cruz". File that one under either "supremely unconvincing" or "WTF?"
5) George Will declares that he will side with Dems, but it's Trump (and about 70% of the Republican voters voting anti-establishment, apparently) who are "traitors" to the Party.
6) Cruz flies off the handle, declaring that Indiana will vote against "evil" (meaning Trump). But that's not crazy, or anything.

... and to cap it all off ...

7) Some unnamed 10 year old kid pops up out of nowhere, and for the first time in presidential politics has to be escorted from the room (!!) because (here it comes...) he had shouted "You Suck!"

From the mouths of babes - Cruz is now the Rodney Dangerfield of politics. No respect at all!

193 Circus parades were the first to go. Too eye-rollingly U-S-A corny, and aw those poor animals. The circus train would pull in on a nondescript siding out on the edge of town, and since you can't really truck an elephant, around dusk they'd march them in. No fanfare (literal fanfares), no announcement, the route was never publicized.

And yet, and yet...my employees were people who talked with a lot of people on a daily basis, and word would always leak out. And I'd find out and have to call somebody The Morning Of, and off we'd go with a flask and lawn chairs. Most of the East Side would be along the road, two or three deep for a couple of miles, because damn it all, There Is Something About A Herd of Elephants.

It was pretty much Kafka-esque without "Entry of The Gladiators" playing. More than once I wished I'd brought a boom-box. Utter silence except the shuffling of those big feets, an occasional terse command, and, not on every one of them but a few, the clank of a hasp and chain. And the shouts of little children, and the admonishments by their grandparents not to forget that they had seen this.

And the 'phoonts knew you were there to see them, too. Never got rorty, but they'd snort, give you the elephant-eye, and once in a while trumpet just a little. It was about the damnedest thing you ever saw.

When I was little, (which is sadly, many years ago) you go go right up to the elephant cage at the zoo, and feed him popcorn, etc. I remember being beside the cage, with his trunk through the bars, playing with my hair, and laying around my neck. I also played with the gorilla through the cage. He would stick his hand out through the bars, and I would hold it. We would sit like that for what my four year old self thought was hours. Zookeepers, parents, thought nothing of it.

I know it's safer, and better for the animals to keep separation, but that was special-I treasure those memories.

Time to put the jwest voucher program into effect. Michigan spends over $26,000 per pupil per year on kids in the Detroit public schools. Why not give every kid a voucher for $25,000 and let the free market work?

The parent can use the voucher with a private teacher/school or homeschool and keep the cash. All the kid has to do is pass the test for their age at the end of each year.

If they don't pass, a representative for the state picks the educational method for the next year.

People who homeschool and keep the money need to declare it as income.

What could be simpler or more effective?

You can plate it out on an appropriate nutrient media and select single colonies of the yeast in question. I have no idea how they do it industrially.

"Our demand is a world free of weapons of mass destruction, especially freeing the Korean peninsula and the Middle East from destructive weapons," he said.

However, the AGW A-Warmists all seem to have pre-crafted "Fascism in defense of Gaia is virtuous" so I expect that response here.

Please replace The Big They with Corporations, The Banks, The Media, or The Government as best fits your libtard audience and watch their little pinheads spin.

I like my people's solution - death is a punishment for sin, and, if His mercy and your merit warrant it, your death is enough to atone.

Otherwise, it's Gehenna, but even that isn't forever - a year at most, with the Sabbaths off - look it up, people!

The worst is to burn for a year and then not resurrect.

If anyone up there bothered to ask me, I'd propose the Zoroastrian system: when you die, you have to cross a river to get to the afterlife. If you were good, it feels like warm milk. If you were bad, it burns like lava. But everyone gets to cross.

And, as CS Lewis says in the book I mentioned above, hell is the place those people go who are unwilling to atone.

286 The issue now is not what bathroom a transgender uses. As been pointed out they have been using whatever bathroom they've wanted forever. The issue now is that those with bad intentions have a loop hole and will be protected by the law. Make no mistake, they will utilize this protection to attempt their perversions.
