1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Thursday, March 31, 2016. On this day in 1917 the United States took possession of the Danish West Indies after paying $25 million to Denmark, and renamed the territory the United States Virgin Islands.

5 Gee the Supreme Court appears to be skeptical about making a family business subject to being called protected wetlands because it was tied to the Red River over 120 miles away and did not involve a river or stream. I suggest that the congress should go in and enact legislation that solidly defines wetlands for the purpose of the act and also issues a stern warning to the EPA for ridiculous overreach. But it would take an opposition party to do this. As for this article, while SCOTUS is tied up in a 4-4 ideological split with one of the 4 being a flip-flopper I would not get too excited over this.

Not a 10 in the US? Then not a 10 overseas. Beware of being lured into buying expensive drinks or worse, being robbed, the controversial tweet said.

Translated, if you are ugly in the US then you are ugly overseas and if someone offers to buy you drinks they are only doing it to rob you. They had to apologize for this. Will anybody be fired or disciplined? Hahahhahahahaha

Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes. Thanks for the news, Vic.

The dramatist Eugene O'Neill was the son of James O'Neill, who, in his time, was a very famous matinee idol. As the younger O'Neill told it, one day when he was eleven, Father sat him down for a talk.

"Son," the elder O'Neill began, "I'm not going to tell you not to smoke, because I know you will. Nor will I tell you not to drink, because I know you'll do that, too. You'll also gamble and chase women, if you're a son of mine, so I'd be a fool to say 'Don't do that either.'"

Then he put his hands on little Eugene's shoulders and looked him straight in the eye. "But now I want you to listen carefully to your father: one at a time, Gene, one at a time!"

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

77 Missed the ONT, so I want to comment on that hero thing. I finally got to the end of season 2 of The 100 last night. And the ending is really brutal, but amounts to, "OK, these people weren't going to stop until they killed us all, so we have no choice but to kill all of them first." And they did, which was a really surprising way to go. TV doesn't usually do that.

And I don't mean they killed the bad guys, they killed off an entire city of people; including women and children, because it was the only way to stop them.

In other "duh" news it turns out that EUtopia is acknowledging that its reliance on commuter rail increases its vulnerability to terrorism.

Given that RAND Corporation has been saying this for 15 years you'd think Donks would fall out of love with it.

Instead I am certain they'd rather TSA it to the point it adds 6 hours to your commute.

If you go back and look at the news links for the wast week or two you will find the companies in those articles. But the kicker of the things is that neither one of the laws in these two States did anything to take away civil rights of the Gaystapo.

NO actually that is NOT the same thing. If Apple had broken the phonem,
then Apple would have held that technology and NOT released it to the
FBI. But since an outside company helped the FBI break the phone, NOW
the FBI has that technology. So in some ways, Apple brought this on
themselves. LMAO

Posted by: Nevergiveup at March 31, 2016 07:00 AM (mw8Dm)

Yes, they basically dared the FBI to break their phone. Not only
does the FBI have access now, but everyone knows it can be broken
without Apple's help.

Not exactly. We only know what we are being told by three very private institutions (the FBI, Apple, and some Israeli spook outfit). We are well into the Wilderness of Mirrors, and can barely wipe out asses with certainty.

How many voters actually show up to vote him?

Rhetorical questions, I know.

The loss would be devastating and usher in an era of unchecked progtardism.

At least two Israelis were injured in the terror attacks in Brussels. Israel would like to fly them home and so in order to release them from the hospital, a Jewish volunteer called up the Crisis Center set up by the Ministry for Internal Affairs to ask about the procedure.

He was told that the Israeli victims could not be sent back to Israel, they can only be sent back to Palestine. The family of the victim is shocked and says that "It's just like Iran here".

This is not the first time an emergency responder decides a Jewish medical emergency is a good reason to preach for Palestine. During the Gaza war, a doctor refused to treat a 90 year old Jewish woman, and suggested to "send her to Gaza for a few hours."

Well, legal gun ownership anyway. Off the books will remain as simple/complicated as it always was. If you don't want to go that route - for which I wouldn't blame you - there's the pre-1897 or whatever loophole.

Posted by: MTF at March 31, 2016 07:46 AM (/m8T6)
--------------------------

That General Mattis sounds like a fine guy, but why on earth would the GOPe of all organizations ever draft him? Like they want someone brusque, legendary, and effective?

And I do believe we need to think about who would beat Biden or Kerry, not Hillary or Bernie. That eliminates Ryan immediately; he wiggled pathetically under Biden's contemptuous laughter in the VP debates in 2012. We also need to consider that Biden will be running on his dead son. What Republican has the guts to trample on his policy regardless?

168 Good morning Morons!

Again we have no changes in the national polling arena. Presumptive nominee (according to many) Donald Trump is still losing to Hillary Clinton by 11.2%.

The Democrats remain on track to pick up at least 4 seats in the Senate and 12 seats in the House.

The only new poll to enter the scene yesterday was the MU Law poll of Wisconsin with Cruz taking a 10 point lead on Trump in the primary.
