Video: Anti-Gun Zealots Rush Stage at Ted Cruz Rally

Oh, so it's not just all about whatever "Republican Tone" we're using to excuse leftist disruptions and actual violence this week.

And it's time to give Ted Cruz Secret Service protection. Frankly, that guy should have been shot. You shouldn't just get an unimpeded charge at a presidential candidate.

This is what the left is doing -- escalating, trying to manufacture explosive confrontations, engaging in more and more dangerous provocations.

And yet some people want to pretend this is just a problem with something Trump said last week.

Granted, violence to protest free ownership of guns doesn't really sell the core idea.

19 And no, it's not about tone. Whatever backtracking he may have done later, Cruz took the side of the progs on Friday night for short term gain (and by assuming "for short term gain", I'm giving him benefit of the doubt there).

On the bright side, Trump is starting to slooooooowly turn the screw against the Left. It's mind-bogglingly entertaining.

I was at his rally in Glen Ellyn (still not sure about that spelling) this afternoon. I didn't think to ask but there were some secret service-y looking guys around the stage (which I admittedly didn't see myself through the crowd because my eyesight is shitty, but the friend I was there with mentioned them while we were waiting for things to get started).

Wait a minute--I think I'm wrong. Apparently only Clinton, Sanders, Trump and Carson have (had) a detail. Everyone gets it starting 120 before the election, and some are given it if requested, and if their crowds are large.

So probably they offered protection at CPAC because of the crowds, but he declined it then.

Sorry 'bout that.

Has Adams endorsed a candidate? I used to read his blog all the time. I know he's not exactly conservative, he's just anti-idiot, and he recognizes the idiocy of the left. But he doesn't strike me as someone that would support Trump, given what he thinks of most CEO's and business magnates.

Cruz had either secret service or private security at rally last Saturday. They arrived with him and were big guys with those clear ear thingies.
I'm afraid after tomorrow it's too late though. The debates were a bunch of circular firing squad crap. We could've used a straight up Trump/Cruz debate that would've been substantive, not soundbites.

Just need to surround the stages with some concertina. Even Bernie might go with that.

47 who was saying it was all about Trump's tone?

It is two separate issues... the protesters are clearly in the wrong when they do stuff like this and the police should be arresting them when they do.

That is a separate issue from whether Trump is encouraging violent behavior at his rallies... which he very clearly has multiple times.

If the candidates are always responsible , When do Sanders and Clinton get held responsible for this?

If the right rushed Hillarys stage or even Bernies, they would be shot. No MFM would say the incident was Clinton's or Sanders fault for the "tone"

The left's dry run to silence/ban/purge conservatives on campus has worked to perfection, now they will use similar tactics to shut down any candidate we nominate.

Several commenters mentioned Scott Adams...he pretty much nails it: http://tinyurl.com/hcf37z5

62 Of course the problem is that leftist mobs try to suppress speech they disagree with. That's who they are; that's what they do. I wish Cruz, Rubio and Kasich had just left their criticism there.

On the other hand, I'd have more sympathy for Trump if he (on the O'Reilly show and elsewhere) hadn't done the same thing to Pamela Geller last year after the terror attack on the cartoon contest in Garland, Texas.

Yeah, (and as a Trump and Cruz supporter), Cruz's little "well, Donald does incite violence" crap doesn't help Cruz. It was a cheap hit on Trump to gain an advantage in the polls, but only a rah-tard would not expect the lefty brigade to not swamp his own rallies. Cruz should have supported Free Speech without lynch mobs (as a Constitutionalist would), or just shut up and stayed out of the fray. If Cruz wins, he is going to be slammed from every direction and in every hole, by these exact same loonies, and he better get ready for it. And he better hope to Gawd someone on his staff doesn't grab a female reporter's arm, because then all Hell's gonna break loose.
