This afternoon, the investigation was taken over by the FSB, Russia's powerful domestic secret service, once headed by Vladimir Putin. Police are not currently treating the incident as terrorism.

LifeNews claimed: 'Investigators suspect that Gulchekhra had manic psychosis developing for a period of time.'

A law enforcement source said the woman was suspected of handling 'explosive elements' at the flat which was engulfed in flames.

But 'it might be an inflammable liquid that she used to set the apartment on fire where she killed four-year-old Nastya M.'

The security services are hunting for the woman's husband. A source said she may have been on 'light drugs'.

Russia's children's rights commissioner Pavel Astakhov called the killing 'Monstrous and inexplicable', urging parents to carefully check on the mental state of nannies when they are hired.

89 The Age of Stupid:

Roomful of Hollywood millionaires agree that racism is bad. The president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science is for good stuff and against bad stuff. Chris Rock asks black moviegoers if they have seen "white movies." No, he did not include The Force Awakens, because that would show that black moviegoers don't see the one that grossed two billion dollars worldwide. I seem to recall when this was a marketing question and not a racial one. Otherwise, I want to know if Leo DeCaprio has seen all of Tyler Perry's Madea flicks.

MEANWHILE...we can't be legally sure that genocide of Arab and black Christians is, you know...genocide.

Psst...the alleged killer of the white cop in Virginia is black. And active duty military. What is BLM to do?

And we continue to act as if accumulation of fiat currency printed by central banks in vast floods of wishful thinking is "production."

And now, the latest installment from the "Religion of Peace" Chronicles.

Hey, have we found out yet of Hillary is getting into her plane with a chair lift? Or are we saving all that for an October reveal of how "brave" she is in the face of illness?

Posted by: Circa (Insert Year Here) at February 29, 2016 01:24 PM (659DL)

110 A group of male Muslim rapefugees made it as far north as Norway, where they immediately began to assault local Norwegian women.

With Norway not being part of the EU, hence not signatory to the "resettlement" mandates, and Norway already having endured a Muslim immigrant rape epidemic, and with a conservative-ish prime minister, the rapefugees were told to get lost, pronto.

They figured they would cross over into Russia and try their luck in Murmansk. Where on their first night, they went to nightclubs and started assaulting Russian women.

The male Russian patrons dragged the Muslim men outside and beat the living shit out of them. Someone called the Murmansk cops. Who showed up and then themselves also jumped in and beat the shit out of the Muslims a second time, then hauled every last man jack of them (every last man Abdul?) off to the cell block. No charges were filed against the Russian men who had defended their womenfolk against the "newcomers".

121 A group of male Muslim rapefugees made it as far north as Norway, where they immediately began to assault local Norwegian women.

People with severely depressed respiratory function were taken to the local emergency department, which didn't know quite how to treat them, and the Alfa commander refused to describe what the chemical agent had been.

270 The most telling thing for me is opinion polling of muslims living in
the West after a major atrocity. Generally, about a third to half say
that while regrettable, it stands to reason that these things will
happen from time to time, as Western countries bring it on themselves.
About a quarter say it's great stuff and they want to see a lot more of
it.

Ah, you see, it's not every single mother-lovin' one of them who supports the atrocities, so Muslims are cool.

Now if they ever achieve unanimity, THEN we can do something about it. But as long as there's one hold out, nope.

Posted by: Skookumchuk at February 29, 2016 01:38 PM (/WPPJ)

This. It's telling to see how people act in their own neighborhood. The Saudis, Kuwaitis, Syrians, Emiratis, etc have a standard for their people-Muslims from Arab countries, then standards for others. Those standards include treating others, especially non-Muslims, like slaves. I've mentioned the Filipinas living on the roof of the embassy, beaten, broken, raped, having babies, and being supported by the Christian groups in the city, because the Philappine Embassy won't give them food or supplies. It's not the Muslims making sure they have legal rights, or are cared for, and it's sure not the Saudis, who put them there in the first place.

And that is just one example-there are myriad.

So, based on living among them in their 'hood, I can't say they are trust worthy, or kind, compassionate types. Add in Salafist/Wahhabist rhetoric, and they are dangerous to those who do not share their ideology.

Ideally yes.

Poor choice of words. I meant 'involving islam' as obama is currently gunning for a conflict where we're siding with the sunnis against Russia and the shia persians.

I think if that plays out, we'll each end up attacked by our 'ally' the same way Germany turned on Russia the last time around, and then we'll end up together wondering what we were thinking about any of those folks in the first place.

Chemjeff, open your eyes. I'm not saying don't associate with Muslims. But recognize that it is a violent religion filled with a nonstop history of violence.

In elementary school, we were taught that Islam came to Northern Nigeria through JIHAD,via a man called Usman dan Fodio. The picture in the book showed him on a horse with his sword upraised. No judgement was passed. It was just presented as history.

They have been burning churches in Northern Nigeria since before I was a kid. Before Boko Haram, marauding bands of Muslims invaded a majority Christian city in the North, Jos, which was known as one of the most beautiful places in the country, and destroyed it. This is just a sampling.

Open your eyes.

288 No, it is not. When one of the core attributes of a religion is countenancing violence against non-believers without end and failure to accept the central tenets of democracy, then one has to admit that it cannot be reconciled with Western, much less, American values.

Islam has a "Stuff Jefferson Said" type problem. That is, authority is a very strong currency in the religion. So when your religious leaders tell you "Islam is a religion of peace," and they tell you that Muhammad was a man of peace who only fought defensive battles, they're believed.

I think we're seeing so much hastening of violent jihad in the world because more people than ever have access to the Quran, and in their own language (i.e. not arabic) to boot. Seeing the violence inherent in the faith is jarring for quite a few Muslims.

It leaves people with three choices: Radicalize, adopt a post-modern understanding of their faith, or leave Islam. I think we're just seeing the uptick in people choosing the former.

304 I don't disagree that Islam is a violent religion. I wish to punish actual acts of violence, not simply the speaking of words.

In any other context, these arguments about "Islam programming adherents to become violent killers" would be rejected out of hand as ridiculous stereotypes, let alone guilt by association. The left thinks that the NRA programs gun owners to become baby killers. We say that's stupid, gun owners are individuals capable of making their own decisions, and those individuals who choose to break the law and kill babies should be punished, but that the rest of the gun owners who make peaceful choices should be left alone to enjoy their liberties as they see fit. Muslims are no different. They are individuals capable of making their own decisions. Those that choose to act upon the literal words of their jihadist Imams and kill people should be punished, of course. But when you start saying that the religion itself should be banned or punished or subjected to higher scrutiny, you're opening up a gigantic Pandora's box that can't be closed again. What you are saying is that you want the government, even a government run by a shameless crapweasel like Obama, to have the power to judge certain religions to be "good" and other religions to be "bad", and to use the power of the state against the "bad" religions, even if no particular individual at any particular church/temple/mosque had done anything wrong, only because the preachers are saying something considered wrong. It is only a short step from declaring Islam to be a forbidden religion, to declaring Evangelical Christianity to be a forbidden religion because they "advocate violence against gays".

The really disturbing part though is the denial of individual agency to Muslims. They aren't robots, they aren't "programmed" to be killers, they are human beings. If they choose to break the law and instigate acts of terror, they should be punished regardless if some Imam told them to do it, or if the funny voices in their heads told them to do it. It really does seem that some people around here believe that while Christians and Jews and members of other faiths are discerning enough to judge the quality of their religious precepts and refuse to obey literally the ones that involve violating domestic laws, that Muslims are somehow different and they are "programmed" or "have no choice" but to go raping and pillaging.

I believe that it is probably not possible to have a libertarian type"leave me alone" type society in a place where a lot of the population views leaving you alone as specifically contrary to God's commandments of how they should live their lives.

A society in which the government interferes with you as little as possible requires that most people don't behave in unacceptable ways most of the time. If there are a lot of people in a society who only refrain from following the dictates of their religion to murder people, whether it is to please the sun god or because they are infidels, you will either need a much larger and more intrusive government or your society will have to tolerate a lot more murders.

CJ, Islam doesn't allow cherry picking. The Sunnah is a seamless whole, built up over centuries. Reject any part, and you are Apostate.

The international logic, and the juridical scholarship are quite admirable in a way. If one accepts first principles, that is Allah is the only God, Muhammad is his messenger who received the eternal and uncreated Koran, it makes perfect sense.

It is a perfect, self replicating organism designed to absorb everything.

The mistake I believe you - and many others - make is looking at Islam through the lens of Judaeo-Christian and Enlightenment thinking, rather than taking it on its own terms.

Muslims don't believe in agency. All that unfolds is Allah's will, and it is his will that Allah prevail.

Jenny, wrong.

You can hold all of Islam responsible. Read the texts.

As for individual Muslims, those that do not hold with Islamic supremacy are not responsible.

They are however, apostate, as they reject part or parts is the Sunnah.

331 All,

I cannot more highly recommend Sayyid Qtub, Muslim Brotherhood theorist on all this.

His "Milestones" lays it all out. Not too long a read, and lucid.
Read his premises and arguments, and you'll understand precisely "what the help is going on."
