Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | MSNBC Has "Taken" Melissa Harris-Perry's Show and Reassigned Her to "Inconsequential" Weekend Slot; She Says MSNBC Is Changing the "Racial Composition" of Their On-Air Team"It's my nature," said the scorpion, as they both sunk to the river's bottom. Here's a letter she allegedly wrote to inform her "Nerdland" viewers of her snit. Our voice. Here is the reality: our show was taken -- without comment or discussion or notice -- in the midst of an election season. After four years of building an audience, developing a brand, and developing trust with our viewers, we were effectively and utterly silenced.Lot of drama here over someone's show being "taken" due to, I assume, poor ratings, and general silliness. Now, MSNBC would like me to appear for four inconsequential hours to read news that they deem relevant without returning to our team any of the editorial control and authority that makes MHP Show distinctive.More drama-- that they deem relevant. So conspiratorial! Dude you lost your show because you suck. Persevere to endure. Rub some dirt on it. Walk it off. Put some butter on it. Hey, remember when you reminded yourself of what real "working hard" was, with that picture of the family of slaves? Maybe you should show yourself that picture. The purpose of this decision seems to be to provide cover for MSNBC, not to provide voice for MHP Show.Yes, that's what happens when you lose our show. I will not be used as a tool for their purposes. I am not a token, mammy, or little brown bobble head. I am not owned by Lack, Griffin, or MSNBC.Like I said, remind yourself of how outraged you were that someone said they "worked hard," and how that slave family were the ones who really worked hard. Are you really claiming that MSNBC is trying to enslave you? I love our show. I want it back. I have wept more tears than I can count and I find this deeply painful, but I don’t want back on air at any cost. I am only willing to return when that return happens under certain terms.Maybe they took your show because you were always weeping more tears than you could count, and they were like, "I don't want to deal with this blubbering imbecile." Oh but it's like slavery. Maybe, just a little. Maybe the light is beginning to dawn on her. I am sure ego is informing my own pain in this moment, but..."But." Nope! No self-realization. Right dude they're enslaving you. ...there is a level of professional decency, respect, and communication that has been denied this show for years.Because it's not very good, it's silly, and you wear tampons as earrings. And now you're telling me you cry all the time like a crazyperson And the utter insulting absurdity of the past few weeks exceeds anything I can countenance. From your own self-description, you can't countenance a lot of things. What, with all the crying and stuff of countless tears rolling down your cheeks into puddles of sad. You know who else got to stay at the same hotels as other on-air television personalities, but then who were denied on-air hits? Slaves did, that's who. I have a PhD in political science and have taught American voting and elections at some of the nation’s top universities for nearly two decades, yet I have been deemed less worthy to weigh in than relative novices and certified liars. So many credentials! Did you also get a Ph.D. in Crying Too Many Tears to Count? Because if not, it sounds like you're just a few credits short! Hey, let's hear some more bragging about yourself. I'm noticing no words like "I have consistently won my time slot" or "I have succeeded in increasing ratings from our lead-in." ... but no one on the third floor has even returned an email, called me, or initiated or responded to any communication of any kind from me for nearly a month.Maybe they were worried you would cry, and there would be too many tears to count. It is profoundly hurtful to realize that I work for people who find my considerable expertise and editorial judgment valueless to the coverage they are creating. That's a direct quote from a slave's journal. It sounds like you're hungry for water, because you're dehydrated, on account of all the crying. I care only about substantive, meaningful, and autonomous work. When we can do that, I will return --not a moment earlier. I am deeply sorry for the ways that this decision makes life harder for all of you. You mean more to me than you can imagine. One "you" does not make up for a plethora of "I's." Yours always, MelissaThere's a post-script, but I can't make it out, as the ink is all smeared from countless tears of crying and Not Countenancing. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

MHP wrote this riotous piece about this thing she strongly implied was a near-assault or a hate-crime and all that happened was that a guy criticized her and said he doubted her credentials because she was such a lefty dummy.
she turned that brief encounter into, and I'm not exaggerating, a recollection of her own previous rape. She actually says it was like being reduced to that frightened little girl who was held down during a rape. I wrote a long snarking on that but left it in draft because i worried it would be too... eh, the moment someone says "rape," even if it's this absurdly overwrought encounter in a hotel foyer with a *critic*, the SJWs will claim you're re-raping her if you comment negatively upon her True Tale of Terror at the Ramada Courtyard Inn. You're supposed to have a rough and ready mob at your beck and call, like Sharpton. Then they don't really have a choice as to whether your ratings merit your airtime. I love that the presumption is that her show was perpetual (perhaps it was a bequest in her Will?) and when it was no longer carried in its prime slot it was like totally racist and stuff. This is why we all take charges of racism so seriously now. Bonus vinegar and salt in wound - MSNBC gives Alan Keyes back his show in place of Harris-Perry. Racism crisis averted. This entitled crank has had a remarkable run of good fortune for one so sub-ordinary. There are a cluster of leftist freak shows on MSNBC that are certain money-losers, and hers is in the very core of that unprofitable little island of phlegm floating in the toilet bowl. I still dunno if this is the real ace or not 'cause I don't follow the IP hashes. I'm guess not, but I'll answer sincerely anyways, just in case. Adding that meta tag to the comments page template shouldn't frag anything recent. Again, it's included on the main page, and it works fine there with no black diamonds. If there are old comments pages that include unicode characters, like special symbols, Cyrillic, Chinese, etc., then those characters would appear as gibberish after the change. I dunno when AoSHQ began restricting characters in the comment input. Always? If not, then maybe someone could pinpoint a general post ID number based on date, and you could include a conditional in the page generator that would only add the meta tag after said date. At a recent Hillary Clinton event in a home in Charleston, South Carolina, a young woman suddenly emerged from a crowd, unfolded a white sheet with black letters, and stared blankly ahead with her back toward the candidate. As the former First Lady, New York Senator, and Secretary of State spoke, the young black woman turned slightly to show everyone in the room her sign. When she finally caught Clinton's attention, the potential Democratic nominee bent over slightly and slowly read the writing into her microphone. It said: "We have to bring them to heel. - Hillary Clinton #WhichHillary." At the same time, the young lady said, "We want you to apologize for mass incarceration," and quickly followed up with, "I'm not a superpredator Hillary Clinton." The otherwise mostly white crowd, called the young woman rude.

Excess body weight is not always a problem. When I was hit with stroke that disabled my salivary glands and sense of taste, I weighed 205. I now weigh 150 (almost my ideal weight), and my stroke symptoms have improved, so my body weight has been stable for several months. If I did not have the "excess'" body weight, I would be dead now. The Euroweenie elites have decided NIRP (negative interest rates) aren't doing so hot. They're talking gettings serious now, much looser fiscal policy (Keynesian spending binge) and even true Helicopter money. Central banks actually just print and give money away.
You see NIRP it looks like has just the opposite effect. According to economic theory, savers reaction to NIRP should be. Well, if I save my money, they're going to charge, so I should spend it on this wonderful junk, and then, since I'm being paid to borrow I should do that and spend even more. The economy should take off like a rocket. But funny thing, the reaction to NIRP seems to be to hunker down and spend even less. They're stealing my money! Better save and not spend even more to make up for it. Real geniuses, our economic wizards of smart. Posted by: publius (not Breitbart publius) at February 26, 2016 10:22 PM (dvuhZ) 491
