That theory has been pretty thoroughly debunked in the science community. It's still pretty popular with racists, though.
I've always argued that our evolution was far more complicated than the model where Homo Sapiens evolved in Africa to later populate the entire planet. The authorities who rule science are just recently getting that under their sagital crests.

Dude falls in love with the chick in like five minutes. The idea that he was "Unattainably Cold" was just some bullshit he put into Anna's head. He was totally attainable.

I tried to read the book. Partly because I am competitive and I was in a massively passionate physical relationship at the time and wanted to compare.
Mostly, every woman in America was reading it and I thought I might understand women better if I read it too. I got through 49 pages to the first sex scene, which was all of the meh. Her orgasms were "shattering into a million pieces of glass".

FWIW, I don't get the appeal either. I mean, romance is all well and good ( even if romantic movies and books are not my thing), but one would think discussions of anal and vaginal fisting would be at least mildly of putting.
I also don't identify with a lot of things women identify with, which is why I tend not to attend women's groups and events at church.

Yes, Meryl has a major fling on the kitchen floor for four days in Iowa while her family is at the state fair. In the end, she does the honorable thing and stays with her family, says nothing to them, dutifully cares for her husband as he dies later on in the film and only lets her children know in her will with her burial request. It's a romantic movie, with some major moral questions posed.
Eastwood did a great job directing, but seemed too old to be cast in the role of the dashing photographer.
Best scene is when Meryl is in her husband's truck, with her hand on the door handle, wrestling with the decision to leave or stay, while Eastwood is in the truck in front of them.....

Haven't read the book, but based on the movie, it's seems like it gives the thrill of deviant sex (oooh! we're negotiating fisting, etc.) while not actually doing much deviant sex at all, and doing it with the modern-day equivalent of prince charming (desirable but a yuuuge challenge). And she said she was glad I told her because she didn't even notice what she was doing. However every year he'd get her the same box of Russel Stovers candy putting basically zero effort into it because she did not really care.
But when she was diagnosed with diabetes, he went down and found the sugar free box for her to continue their "tradition."
This bare minimum of consideration was quite touching considering he was, as I said, not exactly the romantic type.
And then a few years later she fell and suffered a traumatic brain injury and he lovingly cared for her every day going forward til her death(about 5 years) and had a stroke a week after she died.
Which mattered a lot more than chocolate.

yeah my friend thinks his place is the place to be if things go bad, I have my doubts. Africa has much to offer, but so much chaos. But I only know from my friend and a few online sources. A nephew/doctor goes over and does volunteer work once a year, their church set up some exchange thing, sell their crafts back here. So there must be pockets of hope.

What matters is that we are all human.
To the extent she meant that, she did it in the most weak-kneed, lilly-livered way possible, albeit resulting in a perhaps more offensive to SJW line.
It's like a politician scared to say "all lives matters" and comes up with "black lives matter....but we're all kind of black in a way which is cool because I like black people."
