__________________ Obama and his co-conspirators (e.g., Jeh Johnson) are trying to get as many illegals and phony muslim "refugees" into the country as possible before Obama leaves office, under the belief that once they're here, they will be impossible to dislodge. For years now, Obama has simply been ignoring the congressionally-imposed limits on the number of green cards and work permits that can be legally issued each year. He hands out as many as are requested, as if they're Halloween candy (purchased by somebody else). He's probably doing the same thing with the planeloads of "refugees" he's bringing in -- just bringing in as many as he can, because after all, who is going to enforce the limits? From this date in 1944- On the move in Italy Feb 5, 1944 - The EZ Dog Journal Led the battery from Caivano to staging area near Nisida outside of Naples. Then back to hotel. General had orders to report to Anzio immediately so we ate hurriedly and drove to Possuoli to load on LST #403. Got aboard about 1400. Under way about 1900. Are democrats just better human beings than republicans?
Apparently, Chris Mathews asked this as a serious question last night. And, using any set of commonly held beliefs, the answer is Yes. Democrats aren't racist. Democrats want children to learn to read and write. Democrats want to feed poor people. Democrats want everyone to be healthy. How can anyone argue with this? If you're a person who doesn't care about or follow politics, but you feel you're basically a good person, what party are you going to vote for come election day? We need a college. We need a finishing school for republicans who want to be active in politics by running as candidates or serving on staffs or writing about policy. We need a place where people can learn a new approach to the narrative so that instead of trying to pander by leaning left our people will be able to explain how those on the right care just as much, but our approach to solving problems is different. And by different, we mean more effective. Right now, we argue details instead of the big picture. This has got to change. Posted by: jwest at February 05, 2016 08:02 AM (Zs4uk) 147

The family of Kayla Mueller (the AZ woman raped, tortured, and killed in Syria while on humanitarian mission) is going to hold a press conference today and criticize the Obama administration for screwing up the negotiations to get Kayla back.
Apparently the terrorists upped their ransom demands for Kayla after news of the Bowe Bergdahl deal went public. Democrats aren't racist. Democrats want children to learn to read and write. Democrats want to feed poor people. Democrats want everyone to be healthy. How can anyone argue with this? Well, for a start, it would help if the "conservative" jackasses who appear on Tingles' clown show would actually call him out for being a biased, drunken ambulatory shitstain instead of actually accepting that nickelfucker's premises and trying to argue as though a Democrat hack like him is in any way honest or cares about a fruitful discussion. It's not just Tingles. Everyone in the MSM and all the establishment right who appear in the media and in print, along with 98% of our writers accept those statements as fact. This is our problem. Our own people believe that if the democrats are for the poor, we're against them. If the left is for education, we're for ignorance. Instead of being able to articulate a different approach to solving the same problem, all the media and the vast majority of people on our side accept their narrative. This is what we need to change. If politicians are completely lacking in the amount of integrity needed to allow people to vote against you, then you are disqualified. You must be willing to lose, or don't run. Ted's cheating is so well documented minute by minute there is no doubt. And the attempts to blame other campaigns afterwards hoping to say "everybody" did it, is down right Democrat. The people in New Hampshire should be told Ted Cruz is not who he pretends to be. Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton are two peas in a pod. Posted by: petunia at February 05, 2016 08:31 AM (VoCyE) 266

backyards. No shit. From 100sq.ft. to 400sq.ft. I guess it gets them out of the parents basements. Where do/how do the utility hook-ups work? Specifically, plumbing? . . . .My Wife watches that show alot. The first thing I ask is how a family of five is going to be able to use one toilet/shower and have no washer/dryer in their house. Plumbing works as normal but it is all the size of stuff you normally find in a trailer camper. The big push is most of the people who go on the show want to be able to buy a house with no mortgage and set it up on land they or their family already owns. Also, she crossed the border into Syria despite being warned repeatedly that it was a dangerous and stupid thing to do. Those Tiny House shows on HGTV are really, really annoying. I've seen maybe three people who go tiny house that make sense. A traveling nurse, a family of four with a summer-only business (kept their primary residence) who built on their own land, and a retired chick who built on her own land.
Everybody else seems to be fucking douchebag hipsters with money to burn (hey, these things ain't cheap!) who want to park their tiny house in their parents' backyard, or drag the damn thing from place to place for an "adventure." Funniest one I watched was a guy who said he was buying to build equity, cost him something like $80,000. Can anybody tell me how you build equity by buying a frealin' trailer, for gawd's sake? The refugees tried to flee but were quickly captured by the Russians. They then took them out to the street and gave them a beating they will remember. Police arrived to break up the fight but locals report that they threw a few punches at the refugees before arresting 33 of them. Eighteen refugees were in such bad condition they had to be take to the hospital. I like it. I'll like it even better when they start stringing a few up from the nearest lamppost. You just want one who will win in other states as well. We haven't seen evidence yet that Cruz can't do that, but damn people are really going after him to try to make sure he can't now. TrivialPursuer, thanks for clarifying the Dylan investigation. I get a little concerned when people treat 'not enough evidence' as 'proof something didn't happen' in these types of abuse cases. They are hard to prosecute because you have small children, who don't always make great witnesses, against grown adults in a he said/she said situation. These children are vulnerable, which is precisely why they are often preyed upon and why they have to be protected by adults in their lives. Posted by: Lea at February 05, 2016 09:41 AM (lIU4e) 476

>>So did Bush (W) get this evangelical support? Because you could as easily say that when we nominate someone who doesn't, we lose. (not that I think Huckabee or santorum would have won, just that maybe both sides of the party have to be united to win the general). It is equally stupid to say winning iowa is bad for a candidate. You just want one who will win in other states as well. We haven't seen evidence yet that Cruz can't do that, but damn people are really going after him to try to make sure he can't now.
Yes he did and he also won Iowa. I'm not sure why this year people are arguing so much about the relative importance of Iowa. It's been an unusual place for years not just because of the caucus process but because of it's distinct voter makeup and it's status of going first. Some candidates go all in because they believe they can match up well with the evangelical wing which is key to winning the caucus. Others focus on NH or even SC because they feel they have a better fit for those states. Christie barely even went to Iowa this year but he has been living in NH. Same with Kasich. This wasn't an accident, it was a calculated political choice. There are always a couple tickets out of Iowa, a couple out of NH and even fewer out of SC. If you don't win one of those it is very difficult to go forward. Not only don't you have momentum, you have trouble raising money and without money you are toast. Sigh... even people we don't like are entitled to due process and the presumption that they are innocent until proven guilty. I don't have to like Woody Allen, you don't have to like Woody Allen. We may both find him creepy and selfish BUT charges against him were thoroughly investigated and the official report found that he never abused his daughter.
As is true or rape on college campuses, child abuse is not so heinous a crime that even innocence is not a defense. Posted by: redbanzai at February 05, 2016 10:01 AM (NPofj) I think it would be more accurate to say there was no evidence OTHER than the testimony of the girl's mother. Which is not to say there was an "official report" that he never abused his daughter. Any "official report" that would make such a claim would be false, on its face. He might NOT have sexed up his daughter. That's as far as I'm willing to take it. You can believe what you want, but your belief is no more credible than mine. Charlie Chaplin had a penchant for young girls in the 15-17 y.o. category. There's a story about his early days in Hollywood working at, I think, the Mack Sennett studio in Edendale. Apparently, a luscious young thing had come to work as an extra and, as was the way of things, she slipped out of sight of Mama and got knocked up.So the word went out through the studio grapevine that anyone who had been intimate with the girl should leave town until the whole affair had blown over.A number of actors left, Chaplin being first out the door.
Posted by: Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing at February 05, 2016 10:03 AM (X6fMO) There is a slight risk... it is slight, because morals are morals, but cultural standards being a bit loose, the risk is that we judge someone like Chaplain by today's standards.
