25 I went through the transcript of the debate from last night to see how each candidate was treated by the moderators. This is not how the candidates performed, but how they were treated. The score is based on following criteria:
number of questions each received
gotcha questions asked
leading questions asked
softball questions asked
not allowed followups when justified
allowed followup when not justified
solicited for followup when not justified
mentioned critically in a question to someone else
argumentative comments by moderators during answers

Bush: +3
Carson: -1
Christie: 0
Cruz: -10

This is one of the reasons I'm watching him closely. IMO, he'll have a greater positive impact on the culture than any other candidate. He already knows how to handle the MFM and I have a suspicion that they'll cow to him, something that warms the cockles of my little black heart.

I tried to make it as simple and unbiased as possible.
I simply counted each of the times each of the criteria occurred and gave +1 for good and -1 for bad. Also subtracted for number of questions fewer than the most asked for each candidate.
The table is on paper, so I can't upload it anywhere without typing it up. I'd be glad to do it if anyone is really that interested.

I'm fully in favor of the 'Let the Democrats nominate a felon' program.

Perhaps it's a fallback position - if Hillary wins a couple primaries, and is later indicted or at least rendered unelectable (if she isn't already) by subsequent releases or FBI activity, then it slows down the momentum of the Berning for another candidate to jump into Hillary's shoes.

97 So I downloaded a new browser - Brave.

It's made by the guy who was forced out of Mozilla because he offended some twinks. Worse yet, he offended some cupcakes.

Anyway - the brower is designed to permit only certain ads and the concept sounds pretty cool actually.

I am posting this comment from the browser and the HQ works very well.

So - public service and all that and all that.

106 One good thing about the coming Trump era is that we can hope to see fewer ridiculous PC types on the airways. It'll be fashionable to be blunt.

This is one of the reasons I'm watching him closely. IMO, he'll have a greater positive impact on the culture than any other candidate. He already knows how to handle the MFM and I have a suspicion that they'll cow to him, something that warms the cockles of my little black heart.

126 >>Why are people not able to get that islam is evil?

They've been brainwashed into thinking they are not allowed to make judgements, that there is not truth, just moral relativism?

I remember how Bush was mocked for his "axis of evil" comment because good/evil was considered so childish, un-nuanced. A whole lot of people no longer believe in concepts like "evil" anymore.

Sad, because there *is* evil, not just in Islam, but with what Planned Parenthood has been doing, etc.

It's a few things. Most secular people have no idea how people with strong religious beliefs think. They think it is fake or driven by some secular factor (income, jobs, healthcare). So they just don't take is seriously.

Related to that is the "everyone is the same and want's the same things" mantra of Western society. It's somewhat true but it's also a lot of false. I want my daughter to have a good job. Who doesn't. But I would rather she be poor than a stripper. Not everyone would agree with that part. Tie this in with "all religions are the same."

Finally, some people don't want to face the horrifying thought that there is a religion with over a billion followers where tens to hundreds of millions would enforce it's precepts of domination and barbarity.

130 "Yeah, well ALL the money he raised is going to HIS private foundation."

Trump said there was a list (at the event) of the organizations that were getting 100% of the money donated. He said they chose vet organizations they felt used the money most wisely. They raised over $6M according to what Trump said at the event.

So who is lying?

Posted by: Illiniwek at January 29, 2016 12:50 PM (5Gpe2)

131 "Do NOT "force" things like removing the nipples.
Or breech plugs.
They're probably thread-siezed if they weren't removed after the last black powder session."

If you find seized-up parts, let me recommend "Kroil" penetrating oil - www.kanolabs.com - nothing I've ever used seems to work as well. Oddly, it is hard to find at retail so I buy it from the manufacturer every few years. In severe cases (like a water-well head I took apart a few years ago) apply it daily until the wrench finally does its work.

I don't think you want to do the heat-up-and-quench-with-penetrating-oil thing on old firearms, so just be patient and persistent.

Posted by: sock_rat_eez at January 29, 2016 12:50 PM (Z8DIA)

132 Here is the CNN report that says the $6M goes to 22 vets groups, and links to the list of groups. I think if most of it was actually going to Trump, they would note that. ChemJeff the other day also claimed it was going to his foundation iirc. So someone is spreading a big lie, or the media is missing a big story.

133 Every one hates when the old media and left media would put a bias headline to show their love for Obama, So now that the lines are drawn the conservative new media has the same problem with the bias headline to show their love. Breitbart is on the Trump Payroll so huge love feast on every post. Gateway Pundit is deep for Trump. Right Scoop, Soopermexican and Redstate, Daily Caller is Cruz. As Ben Shapiro has not be fired from Breitbart he is one of the only anti-Trumps alound to post there and on his site Daily Wire. Lets just hope when the Iowa is over for 4 years they come together against the real enemy in pantsuit. Sadly some may end up like Little Green Footballs and show their true color and turn big government is fine if our guy is in charge.
