And, although most polls have it nip-and-tuck between Trump and Cruz, the poll finds Trump breaking out to a big lead:

I mean, Sanders is more a socialist revolutionary type than Hillary. Obama could be working the backchannels for his comrade.

I also think Obama hates Bill and Hillary, the rich white southerners who traditionally look down on blacks.

Bernie is too dumb to get these numbers by himself. Obama HAS TO be helping him.

I would love to say something like "can we GoFundMe a 747 out of the desert somewhere so some Muslim terrorists can wipe out the first general-election debate?" but...maybe Trump really is SMOD in all its unpredictable glory.

I trust Bernie to do mostly what he says he'll do, which by the time of the general election and his need to get minority voters sucking his electoral organ will involve a pledge to preserve all of Obama's worst initiatives and appoint lots of Obama-like Cabinet officials. Van Jones for VP?

I don't trust Trump to do a damn thing good or bad, we have no idea what he'll do. Could be very good, could be very bad.

The thing is, the "Democratic" party is not a full-bore, balls-to-the-wall Socialist party in all but name. They've purged the conservatives, and yanked the steering wheel of the entire culture (which they've carefully taken hold of over the past fifty years) hard left.

Sanders represents today's Democratic party far more closely than Hillary does, IMHO.

Actually, this is about as deep as the Democrat bench is.

They have nothing beyond who is running. (Except maybe Warren)

They HAVE to win the Presidency in 2016. Because they would have no power at any level.

It's a negotiation tactic . . . ask for everything, ask for it as bombastically and aggressively as you can possibly manage, and then when you get 60% of your ridiculously over-the-top demands, you've still come out way, way ahead.

The long march through the American institutions was completed within the last decade. Global socialists control the news media, hollywood, higher education, the white house, the congress, and need ONE more appointment to have 5 hardline leftists on the SCOTUS. They opened the borders forty years ago and are probably only one more election cycle from having enough illegal voters to permanently hold power, AND they've hamstrung Americans' ability to think critically through language policing and political correctness. They neutered their opposition party and have them passing their legislation FOR them.

But they're so corrupt they're about to have their base torpedo their candidate in favor of reddit sensation Bernie Sanders. Hahahaha. And he'll be running against the only person in the entire country who not only doesn't care that he's politically incorrect, but might actually have the sheer ego to undo 100 years of carefully plotted socialist treason by privatizing vast swaths of the economy. And not because he's a conservative republican! By accident! Because that's his nature!

Hahahaha.

I'll be over here with an olympic sized swimming pool full of popcorn.

You don't feel the Bern! Why, gee you must be an -anti-Semite! Why, you Jew-hater, you!

(That the conservatives support Israel and the left does not is only a sign of conservative anti-Semitism because the only reason the Christianists love Israel is because they want to convert all the Jews! Apparently, that's much much worse than siding with the people who want the Jews driven into the sea.)

Yep. Just as the left was quick to claim the jab at "NY values " was an attack on Jews, so they'll play the anti-Semitism card with Sanders.

And when he criticizes Israel for defending itself, they'll tell us "Look, Sanders is a Jew and even he can't stand what those awful Israelis are doing to the poor Palis."

If Chuck tells him to.

He'd be a good insider spy.

of course Trump would see this and give Rubio all the shit jobs that Trump doesn't want to do.

He could put him in nominal charge of building the wall. (hah) but not real charge cause we'd want the wall built right.

Cause you know those Hispanics they work hard but it's not up to American standards.

I don't think even Rubio would be stupid enough at this point to accept the VP. Too much negatives and no gain for Trump.

If things go well with Palin, she may get the nod. This is a trial run for her I think.

This is how it's done in business. You pick the likely person and then you give them a job to see how they do and if they do well then you give them more to do and more responsibility and more money or a title.

If she doesn't improve his numbers or he gets enough negative feedback he can at that point pick another to come with him on the campaigns. See how they do.

I'm pleased to see a woman in this position. I believe that will be how we get a female President because people need to see her actions and most females are not in a position to highlight the qualities needed for a President.

And she's right wing. (I'm discarding the conservative label because it's so overused and misconstrued and misdefined.)

True, but the American commie cocksuckers take their cues from European commie cocksuckers, they practically march in lock-step.

The classic example is the American left's attitude towards the Nazis in the '30s. Cold hatred until the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in '39, then warm friendly feelings (or neutral isolationist feelings at worst) towards the Nazis right up until they invaded Russia in '41. Then white-hot hatred until the end of the war.

347 So, if you didn't know anything about Sanders's background why would criticizing his policies be anti Semetic?

Sounds like a religious version of the race card.

348 345 Frankly, I don't know if Trump "needs" anyone.

So he's like God then?

I mean a particular person as VP to shore up some voting group.

349 76 Please not Trump.

But Please, Please not Sanders.

352 Most likely way back when, Bernie made a thing about him being Jewish so now it's part of his legend.

Not a big deal.

353 Savinien Louismet?

No. please tell me about him. How did you discover him. Except for Thomas Merton, Padre Pio St Faustina or Therese of Lisieux and some modern Protestant mystics, my knowledge of mystics tends to be 17th century or prior.

Just a Google Books search. I haven't read anything yet, well, just the preface of The Mystical Knowledge of God and snippets of The Mystical Life.

Anyway they are free on Google Books. I download them as PDFs and then read.

Posted by: Make America Great Again at January 21, 2016 05:27 PM (LXJ1e)

355 Louismet is 19th century (early 20th) Roman Catholic.

356 That's great you can get some things like that for free. Most of the mystics id/have read are in dead trees variety books, although Fenelon has some excerpts on the internet..

368 What would be worse for Hillary, being beaten soundly by Trump in the general, or being beaten soundly by Sanders in the primary? One of those scenarios will happen, I think.

Posted by: Duncan MacLeod, The Highlander at January 21, 2016 06:20 PM (COpZ4)

369 There is no "way to deal with trump" in terms of attacking him and taking him out...If it wasn't Trump, it would have been someone else.

This is the culmination of 25 years of lies and bullshit from Republicans. Many people just don't buy what they are selling anymore, and are willing to give an outsider with an unorthodox history a chance. It is that simple.

The "true conservatives" here and elsewhere shouldn't be mad at Trump, or Palin, or anyone else, but the Republicans themselves who have been authoring this story for the last 25 years.

Posted by: Duncan MacLeod, The Highlander at January 21, 2016 06:24 PM (COpZ4)

370 Trump's VP is almost irrelevant. His stature has and will bring in new voters and cross over voters no matter who the VP pick is. He will pick someone he likes and trusts, could be someone in politics or perhaps a businesses/military person, but it will have nothing to do with shoring up support of this or that demographic.

There are already many polls that have remained consistent where he pulls some black voters as well as blue collar white dems over to his side in head to head matchups. If that is true, Hillary and sanders are screwed. His "celebrity" status has attracted the non political voter, dare I say, the low info voter we talk about. If that leads to us finally securing the border, I say good.

Probably more along the lines of an Alan West.
Nothing to really lose, marginal help in FL\NC\VA,
articulate, military service, plus one-term in congress, not long enough to be labeled a long term insider, image as an outspoken no-BS task focused type of persona (real or imagined doesn't matter), has pushed back on the BkLM and related tripe in the past.
