Bowe Bergdahl To Finally Be Court Martialed for Desertion and Misbehavior Before the Enemy

I suppose that depends on who "the enemy" is.

For a large swath of Americans, "the enemy" is other Americans.

It's a social marking cue to decry the inferiority of other Americans.

All critics, implicitly, declare their superiority over the object of their criticism; often it's more bald-faced, and stated straight-up and directly.

So it has always been with the status-craving left. Like KKK members, they are constantly singling out particular groups and stating that those groups are beneath them, in order to elevate themselves.

That said, I've joined the left in despising a vast number of Americans, and thinking of them only with contempt. At this point, I only disagree with them on who should be held in contempt.

I used to work with a guy who was kicked out of three branches of the military - THREE - in the span of 22 months, all on the basis of being batshit crazy. First the Army (he was in Officer's Candidate School, and they hauled him off in a straightjacket), then the Army National Guard, and then somehow the Air National Guard. Finally put him out and made it stick - but he gets disability at 70% of his pay at his highest rank. So, no, the Army seems to have a bit of a problem culling its recruits.

Might play on civie street, but the Members of the Court will be people who have kicked butt and taken names. Even if he requests Enlisted Members, they will most likely have been downrange in the sandbox. A time or three.

207 Okay, not going to read through the 200+ comments before mine, but offer this observation. His court-martial is likely to take place at Fort Bragg, NC, home of 82nd Airborne, Special Operations Command, Army Forces Command, US Army Reserve Command and units which support all these commands. At times during the last 14 years, 3 of the 4 Brigades of 82nd were deployed to GWOT at the same time. SOC just lives on deployment. Likely there will be one or two non-officers on the panel, but that will be a Sergeant Major or a Command Sergeant Major (E-9), who yes, has spent their time in the box. It is not going to be some 22 year old SGT (E-5).
