53 commie idiots sound off.
The 53-nation Commonwealth has said climate change poses an existential threat to some of its member states, and urged participants at the Paris climate talks to produce a legally binding agreement on cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The "real" threat is that taxes are not high enough. And here is the reason for the statement: The Commonwealth leaders called for developed nations to spend $100 billion a year by 2020 to help developing countries deal with the effects of climate change. Give us some money. And of course AP is more than willing to give them some airtime. http://fxn.ws/1loG9cp Posted by: Vic-we have no party at November 30, 2015 06:21 AM (t2KH5) 10

According to police, the [shooter] is licensed to carry a concealed weapon and was acting in self-defense. ... Showing the need for better gun control: Shooter hit the perp's shoulder. * Speaking of which, yesterday I saw that d@mn coyote that the neighbor told us is hanging around. The media is starting to freak out because it's looking more and more likely that Trump is going to be the nominee and unlike past Republicans they will not have the capacity to shape the narrative with him as President.
The could rely on pukes like the Bushs to roll over and not fight back. That's why you are starting to see media hagiographies on how they miss Bush. You miss him because he was a reliable punching bag for you twats. Look for CNN and the GOPe to come out blazing at the next debate on the 15th. While Trump is not everyone's cup of tea, he represents a paradigm shift in temperament and governance, especially if Ted Cruz is his VP. The media will literally lose their ability to shape any narrative as Trump is not going to allow anyone to attack him and especially with Cruz acting as his babble fish translator, we will finally have a true movement Conservstive in the White House since Reagan. Sorry to interrupt the morning thread, but here's a prayer for those praying people who are awake in Eastern Standard Time. It's from the Orthodox tradition which- IMO-places a great deal of emphasis on the holiness and awesome majesty of God. This is a prayer said at dawn:
Lord, God you are holy, surpassing human expression: You made light shine out of darkness and in our night's sleep you have given us rest; through you we rise to give you glory, and prompted by your compassion, to call upon your goodness; hear us as we offer you praise and thanksgiving, as best we are able, and grant what we ask of you for our salvation. make us children of the light, inheritors of your eternal goodness; in the fullness of your mercy, O, Lord remember all your people: Those who pray with us now and all our brothers and sisters across your dominions, on land or sea, who call upon your love for mankind and beg your help; extend your great mercy to us all, that being saved in body and soul and ever dependent on your love we may praise your most wonderful and blessed name. For you are the God of compassion, full of goodness and love for all mankind, and we give you glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and for ever, to the ages of ages. Amen. 2 Corinthians 4:6.. Sorry;. May you receive the strength and comfort you need in the loss of your brother. And since you didn't mention " ex mother-in-law" I'm assuming that you're still married. Remember then, that if you love your wife, she is the woman who brought her daughter to birth-which is a good thing. I don't know that I've heard many men here say that they didn't-or don't- have a problem with their mother in law, which is sad. My MIL was a saint-keeping her family together despite an alcoholic husband, helping to raise her grandchildren after her son in law ran off -and helping neighbors even though she was not very wealthy herself. I will amuse those of you who've done home improvements by telling you that we took wallpaper down and are confused by what we found. Master bath (denounces self). Under the paper and backing is what looks like a thin coat of paint in some places. Other places just are large amounts of spackle and in some places it looks like there's more wallpaper. Oh and there's some dark blue patching material other places. Did they paint and spackle over the original wallpaper? Or just leave a bit at the top? Or is that glue, not paint? Hubby wants to paint on the layer we're on. Might work... The house is 30 years old, not 150. And yet a hundred years of stupid things have been done to it... Dark blue patching in places may be color activated drywall paste. It goes on pink and turns blue when dry...does it sand/act/feel like sparkle? In any event, in my experience, at this point, if the wall surface is smooth, you can paint it with a coat of Kilz, and then your color choice, and it will be fine. Some minor sparkle repairs may become evident after the coat of Kilz

Or a universe worth apparently. Mostly, I have found in our old house, that it was used to cover up a lot of patches and poor dry walling to begin with. When we peeled off the paper, they had not applied sizing to the walls, so the backing on the paper stuck to the walls. We then had to steam and scrape off the paper (lotsa fun) on a room that is about 20 by 20. Then we had to patch the wall properly. Then prime and paint. 166 Cabinet members (both parties) are appo inted not because they are the best and brightest for their positions, but because they bought their influence/ are owed political favors.
That's one of the reasons a Trump presidency could be a great thing. He owes nobody. No one owns him. He really would be able to appoint the best and brightest. --------------------- Why do people believe this? Big Business' control of American politics is a problem - so let's elect a Big Businessman? Instead of electing someone who can be persuaded to support lousy policies by interested parties' money, let's just elect the interested party directly! Cut out the middle man! Or are we assuming Trump is secretly an altruist who will work against his own interests? And what makes you think he will appoint "the best and brightest" to his cabinet - he doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be overshadowed by cleverer people. He strikes me as someone who will tend towards yes-men and close friends and family - he wanted to put his sister on the Supreme Court, correct? The worst part of this house is that all the wood work has been neglected if not out and out abused. Sanding it all or paying someone to sand cabinets and molding (three or more levels of it in some rooms) is just too much. Roughly, we're going to take in 30,000 refugees, but we're going to take in the ones who are most vulnerable and desperate, so we're going to the camps to pick them there. Widows and orphans. Imagine the "refugees" TFG or Jebio would pick to come here. They'd send us colonists and jihadis. Posted by: dark helmet at November 30, 2015 09:10 AM (yvwr7) 280

TPA was passed largely by Republicans in June. It is known as trade fast track. It allows Obama to submit trade bills to congress who can not amend it or change it but the still musts till be approved by the Senate as any other treaty.
TPP or Trans-Pacific Partnership does all kinds of shit that benefits Republicans' real constituency, big buisness. And it does that at the expense of small buisness and the average joe. "That TPP deal that Republicans passed will allow them to implement the global warming scam w/o congress." TPP is apparently also packed chock full of provisions for the "free movement of labor" across national borders. Pretty sure I don't have to explain what that means. Posted by: torquewrench at November 30, 2015 09:47 AM (noWW6) My mistake, it has been "agreed to" but not passed by Congress. Posted by: Vic-we have no party at November 30, 2015 09:52 AM (t2KH5) 346
"And worn out old shit is opening his pie-hole again."
Anyone else remember the long-ago, far-away year of 2008, when Old Man Yells At Clouds was running for President? The left were absolutely granitic in their certainty that, if elected, the elderly and war-wounded and cancer-riddled McCain would up and die in office within some ridiculously short interval, exposing the country to the terrible peril of President Sarah Palin. I said at the time, "Gee, that would be awful, but we'll _just have to risk it_." In retrospect, if McCain had made it in, he would have almost certainly been unseated in 2012 by Hillary Clinton. If he had by some miracle come through that thanks to Canquelles stroking out on the campaign trail, he would be busy in office today ramming through an amnesty as bad as Obama's, and delivering huge aid to the "moderate Syrian resistance", and VP Sarah Palin's hopes of succeeding him in the 2016 election would be totally doomed. 335 ??? So your making MY POINT..No amendments, No debate ( since the million page bill was crammed down the COngress's Throat at the las moment without any reading it)? Just like the Iran vote, a simple up or down vote..no treaty vote? And THAT's your argument? Do you even read what your posting or just take marching orders from the establishment?
You keep confusing Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). TPA is the process bill whereas TPP is the actual trade deal. With regards to the TPP text, it was posted on the US Trade Representative's website as required some time ago. I posted the link at #155. As for your comment about treaties, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are not treaties. I would also point-out that calling me "Establishment" is not an argument. Where is the evidence that a vote on TPP has been taken? I have asked multiple times for the roll call votes for each body and have yet to receive a response. "I'll take Cruz. He's never filed for bankruptcy and he's a Christian."
What is really funny is Fox News slamming Trump for bankruptcies. When Rupert Murdoch, proprietor of Fox, has left investors holding the bag on several occasions in the past. As for Cruz, he voted for the enabling bill (TPA) to kickstart Obamatrade. Cruz skipped out on the facially unconstitutional Corker bill vote to let Obama and Kerry ram through their Iran deal with fewer votes than a treaty normally requires. Cruz wants to radically expand the fraud-riddled H-1B worker visa program that has already tossed millions of American citizens out of their jobs after their having been forced to train their foreign replacements. Cruz's wife has worked for years for Goldman Sachs, about the single most brutally cynical Wall Street firm around, most notable for having been Barack Obama's largest source of financial sector donations. The thing that really blows chunks about this election cycle is that there _just are no genuinely solid conservatives_ to choose from in this race. I think I'm voting for the Beans and Bullets ticket. Posted by: torquewrench at November 30, 2015 10:02 AM (noWW6) 349

Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected a
meeting with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the climate conference in Paris on Monday, the Kremlin said, as a dispute rages over Ankara's downing of a Russian warplane. Posted by: Nevergiveup --------------------------- The day after the shoot down, Putin opened a diverse can of whoopass on the dog Erdogan and Turkey- e.g., bombing shit out of Turkmen, trade sanctions, cancelling Russian tourism to Turkey (#2 behind Germany) and get this, a new law gets you 5 years in the slammer for denying Turkey's "genocide" of Armenians and more. Putin plays hardball. The ISIS supporting pig Erdogan is hating life right now. And Putin has more for the scumbucket, I am sure. Go Vlad, pwn that bitch all. the. way. Ted Cruz is said to like this essay by Jeane Kirkpatrick that got her the job of ambassador to the UN in the Reagan administration. It's a fascinating read and relevant to situations like Libya, Egypt, Syria and Iraq.
