If the racial identities of school shooters were proportional to current U.S. demographics, whites would account for 19 of the 31 incidents. So in actuality, they are committing these atrocities at a smaller proportion than you would expect.
Things to keep in mind: I had a minimum number of fatalities. If I removed that, a) I’d be here all day, b) you’d find a small scattering of female perps and c) you’d find a good amount of gang-related shootings occurring on school campuses. It would not further indict white males.
Now, I don’t think race has anything to do with this. Crazy people do crazy things, skin color be damned. But since a mayor of a major American city wants to downplay the threat of radical Islam with this juvenile “gotcha!” towards white males, let’s clarify that he is dead WRONG.

who cares who used the WWI-era sarin gas?
Why is it such a big deal? chemical weapons suck as weapons, thats why no one uses them anymore and why everyone agreed to ban them.
Its incredibly expensive and difficult to get the gas where you need it, it kills indiscriminately, and used outside it dissipates too quickly to kill large numbers of people.
It just seems like a weird obsession from a country that dropped 2 nuclear bombs.

There are no indigenous forces to help us. Our options are to help Assad and his Shia militia (aka the Syrian army) or to help ISIS and their Sunni militia (aka the Syrian tribesmen + Sunni jihadists from all over the world flocking to the caliphate.) OR to not help anyone.
Those are the options.
If the Sunnis take control of Syria, we end up with Afghanistan under Taliban rule, but way worse and with way more resources and money. This guarantees a growing caliphate and more terrorist attacks for the west.
If the Shia stay in control, they will hunt down and slaughter many of the Sunnis. This will be horrific for the Sunnis involved, but will have limited to no effect on us western countries.

First we have to expand our efforts outside of Syria. We should have armed the Kurds at least as well as we have Al Queda rebels in Syria. We have indigenous assets in Iraq. Letting ISIS slide on having to fight on two fronts is criminal.

Two areas where the Muslim Brotherhood were very prominent were Egypt and Syria. Egypt tried to crush the MB and threw hundreds of members into jails where they became further radicalized. One of those guys was Zawahiri.
Assad's father outlawed the MB decades ago and made membership a crime punishable by death.
Obama backed the MB candidate in Egypt during their uprising a few years ago. There are a growing number of MB members in the Syrian rebel group trying to take out Assad.
Not saying that's the only reason but Obama does have a thing for the Muslim Brotherhood.

This has nothing to do with Hitler being "nice," that's simply asinine. It has to do with him having experienced poison gas personally and saying "no, that's something I will not use, I've been through it." Not because he liked people or was a nice guy, but because he thought it was too awful a weapon.
Hitler did not care about threats. He did not care about retaliation. He did not care about how crappy a weapon was. He just had been through the experience and didn't want it being used.

It is profoundly abnormal for someone to go from being an obscure backbencher in a state legislature in 2004 to being elected President of the United States in 2008. It's not possible to find ready parallels to that.
The only way something that extraordinary can occur is for something equally extraordinary to precede and enable it. Which in Obama's case was the spectacularly failed George W. Bush presidency. Two failed wars AND a massive financial face plant for the economy? The electorate concluded that radical circumstances merited a radical experiment with the Presidency.

Not a huge Bush fan but by the time he left office Iraq was largely won. Obama gave it away. And Afghanistan was still a work in progress. It is not fair to label either of those as failed wars under his watch.
And Bush had almost nothing to do with the economic meltdown. That was largely the fault of the Dems in Congress and Clinton's disastrous CRP.
Bush was far from perfect but he is a god, and not a minor one, compared to Obama both in areas of national defense and the economy.

I'd say his greatest weaknesses came from the source of his greatest strengths: he genuinely likes people and wants them all to like him. He couldn't stand to upset anyone. Even the enemy.
He loves his country, even more than Choom Boy loves himself. But, just as you wouldn't ask the kindly parish priest to serve as Town Executioner, you shouldn't call on a guy who doesn't feel comfortable hurting [anyone to lead a war.

Remember Poppy Bush trying to horn in on a 1980 Reagan campaign event in NH, and Reagan's riposte about "I am paying for this microphone!"? Remember Poppy slamming "voodoo economics"? (Compare the two men's economic track records in office with the benefit of hindsight.)
Reagan accepted Bush simply because it was not possible to get elected without cutting some deals with the establishment Northeast money men, and Bush was from a family with whom the northeast establishment types were familiar and comfortable.

One of G.W. Bush's aides later sized the guy up from the standpoint of close experience, and said that among his shortcomings is that he is congenitally incapable of recognizing that religion can be a negative, destructive force in human affairs.
To Dubya, if it's religious, it is hence ipso facto good and praiseworthy. No matter what religion it is. It suffices for something to be religious to earn his beaming praise. Hence the endless blather from him about how "Islam is a religion of peace", when it clearly had been demonstrated by that time to be anything but.
