More on Obama's Intel Book-Cooking

Shane Harris & Nancy Youssef:

[T]he allegations of misconduct have extended to a possible cover-up, with some analysts accusing the senior intelligence officials at Centcom, Maj. Gen. Steven Grove and his civilian deputy, Gregory Ryckman, of deleting emails and files from computer systems before the inspector general could examine them, three individuals familiar with the investigation told The Daily Beast.

One U.S. official said the alleged activity could amount to obstruction and interference with the inspector general’s investigation, which began last summer. He noted that files relevant to the investigation began to disappear from Centcom computers after the Pentagon watchdog’s staff began their work.

...

In interviews, several individuals have described Centcom as having a "toxic climate," in which Grove in particular created an expectation: Those who toe the official, upbeat line about the fight against ISIS are rewarded, while those who don’t are marginalized.

Later in the argument, it cites a National Intelligence Estimate which was written to agree with Obama's claim that Al Qaeda no longer posed a direct threat to the American Homeland. Former DIA chief Michael Flynn refused to sign off on it.

Oh: This is old, but new to me. Flynn says that Obama didn't just ignore the warnings that he was arming the groups that would merge into ISIS: He actually supported those groups, as a conscious decision, despite the warnings.

Hasan: You are basically saying that even in government at the time you knew these groups were around, you saw this analysis, and you were arguing against it, but who wasn’t listening?

Flynn: I think the administration.

Hasan: So the administration turned a blind eye to your analysis?

Flynn: I don't know that they turned a blind eye, I think it was a decision. I think it was a willful decision.

Hasan: A willful decision to support an insurgency that had Salafists, Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood?

Flynn: It was a willful decision to do what they're doing.

More on this, please.

14 Obama is just doing what every other liberal has done since Sept 11--helping islam take over the world.

I firmly believe that on September 11, 2001, liberals, Democrats and etc cheered--albeit silently. Finally after all their talk of America needing a punch in the nose, and needing to be taken down a peg, someone came along and did it. And moslems have been the heroes for the Left ever since.

Show me any liberal since then that proves me wrong.

Nota bene: when Flynn left DIA, he gave what amounted to an exit interview to one curious defense reporter. It makes for extremely disquieting reading.

Here's the pull quote for you. "I will frankly tell you that what I see each day is the most uncertain,
chaotic and confused international environment that I've witnessed in
my entire career."

Bear in mind that Flynn has been in the intelligence community going all the way back to the Reagan era of the Cold War, so his "entire career" encompasses a lot of heavy shit.

So get this:

The Washington Post-ABC News poll out Monday asked Americans if they would trust Clinton or one of five Republican candidates more. She led Trump 50% to 42%, Carson 49% to 40%, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz 47% to 40%, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio 47% to 43%.

The poll did not ask about Clinton's Democratic opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The poll also found that Americans strongly disapprove of how President Barack Obama is handling ISIS and the threat of terror broadly.

105 Later in the argument, it cites a National Intelligence Estimate which was written to agree with Obama's claim that Al Qaeda no longer posed a direct threat to the American Homeland. Former DIA chief Michael Flynn refused to sign off on it.
-----------------------------------------------------

Wait, this is big isn't it? An NIE isn't written by the DIA, it's a coordinated effort combining intelligence from all relevant intelligence agencies. Obviously, it's political as hell but what Flynn is saying here is that the rot goes way, way beyond the DIA.

106 What would it take to get this prick arrested for treason? I'm beginning to think he could direct missiles to destroy US cities and no one would do anything about it

107 I believe polling about as much as I believe the government these days, which is to say not at all.

Propaganda. Dezinformatsiya. Provokatsiya. Pravda.

109 "New poll says Americans think Hillary would handle terrorism better than any of the Republicans. "

Voting needs to be restricted to
A) Being able to pass a test involving how our government is structured, how capitalism works, basic logic, the history of leftism, and how to identify bias in data.

B) PLUS, any 2 of the following
Military service, IQ over median, net taxpayer, home owner

Shit! Why didn't I think of that?

113 New poll says Americans think Hillary would handle terrorism better than any of the Republicans.

The American people voted for this moron. Twice. There's no stupid opinion they could hold that would surprise me.

116 Lord protect Michael Flynn. He is right on target--Obama armed ISIS, let them grow when some A-10 runs could have created Highway of Death Redux and they would not be and more recently allowed them a proxy Air Force, Turkey's, to take on the only real fight ISIS has, the brave Kurds. ISIS is Obama's creation and legacy. When Senator Di-Fi is shrieking about it publicly, things have gotten out of hand.

Just goes to show you: don't let the Muslim Brotherhood advise you in Mid East matters.

Aside: the Daily Beast seems to have the best sources on these MENA/National Security issues.

117 America is just a nightmare now. Half the country only gets false information, and half the Republicans can't even tell there are Democrats in the country, and waste their vote trying to teach the only people who have any possibly of fixing anything a "lesson" by keeping Democrats in power.

Just a nightmare.

118 I wish someone would ask Obama a simple question, "Do you think an Islamic Caliphate is a good thing". It might take he by surprise and elicit an honest answer.
