1 Good morning again horde

2 I've been getting up around the 0400 hrs a long time, sleeping in until 0500 is a treat

3 Byron York writes about reporter putting words in Trumps mouth then getting Trump to agree with it.
Andrew McCarthy points out a database would be against the constitution but a waist of time, you have to look at the people causing the problem not everyone who looks like the people causing the problem.

Posted by: Skip at November 22, 2015 06:05 AM (KSdzX)

4 Um, is this thing working?

Posted by: Skip at November 22, 2015 06:22 AM (KSdzX)

5 There are already "data bases" for everything under the sun. Saying so or admitting it is un-PC. The doofus who asked this line of inquiry is simply trying to cause a PC media stink in an election. The problem is that the public thinks it is a good idea to watch the radicals who want to kill people (and it isn't just Muslims) this time around. The media needs to try to keep up. Things are very different this go round even if the media isn't.

Posted by: Lester at November 22, 2015 06:23 AM (2UPXV)

6 Reporter: Should there be a database system that tracks Muslims who are in this country?

Trump: There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases. We should have a lot of systems, and today you can do it. But right now we need to have a border, we have to have strength, we have to have a wall, and we cannot let what's happening to this country happen any longer.

Reporter: Is that something your White House would like to implement?

Donald Trump: I would certainly implement that.

In any other election cycle, Trump would have not been taken seriously or the MFM would have destroyed him.

The difference is the world is in flames, the nation is in the shitter and a significant number of otherwise disengaged citizens see not only that, but the fact that the MFM is lying openly about it.

Wallace either respects Rush or he knows that he can't get away with the typical leftist questions that box others into a corner.

It's easy to beat the MFM if you are principled, willing to stand by those principles and don't have to triangulate by agreeing with the premise of the questions in the first place. That's Limbaugh, and Cruz.

For two nights in a row, NBC "news" has been pushing the edited Trump comment on Lester Dolt's broadcast, with commentary from breathless blonde "reporter" and, of course, their "political director," Chuck Turd.

Like Tepid Air, the MFM doesn't give a damn if they have to lie in order to bring Trump down. I thought there were FCC regulations about that kind of stuff, but maybe I just imagined that....

The list of people responsible for turning this country into a third-world shithole just keeps getting longer. It ain't just Choom Boy.

19 Charity is not just recommended by Islam, it is required of every financially stable Muslim.  Giving charity to those who deserve it is part of Muslim character and one of the Five Pillars of Islamic practice.  Zakat is viewed as "compulsory charity"; it is an obligation for those who have received their wealth from God to respond to those members of the community in need.

'Pillar' of Islam does not extend to refugees, apparently.

Choom Boy thinks it does. He's willing to give a lot of our "treasure" to keep the downtrodden, oppressed Muzzie-types in comfort.

47 When the loaded question first got asked of Trump, and considering the source of the question -- Yahoo News, where Yahoo is run by an obsessive Obama fangirl who tilted Yahoo's news coverage dead hard left when she came in -- it immediately smelled like an orchestrated JournoList type scam.

And seeing how the rest of the snooze media have played it in the last two days in particular only underscores that first impression. The AP (who as newsrooms have steadily shrunk at fishwraps across the country now contributes the bulk of national news copy) pushed a line yesterday of "Trump tries to walk back database comments".

Riiiiiiiight. The guy gets asked a bait question, and then has his replies to that and followup questions misreported, and he is the one who has to be defensive about it?

Don't know about the rest of you, but this frankly makes me want to vote for Trump (many many misgivings aside) just as a thumb in the eye to these nasty critters in the media.

That's the safest way to treat "news" reporting.

Even the so-called "conservative" sites are generally no better than their liberal counterparts, selecting, shading (well, lying) and pushing their own agendas, or those of their bucks-up masters.

Ace seems more straight-up than most; even when I don't agree with his conclusions, he puts out honest opinions. Except when he pimps links from Tepid Air or certain agenda-driven righties.

This is one of the reasons I'd vote for Teh Donald if the election was today. Anyone who makes the Choom-Boy-enabling media recoil in horror has to have something going for him.

Also, patriotism. Trump is in this for his ego, of course, but also because he feels he can do something for the USA. Every other candidate is, IMO, in it only for themselves.

Posted by: MrScribbler at November 22, 2015 07:39 AM (dbC6X)

55 This whole cultural appropriation bullshit is actually a useful tool.

Sunday Morning Bluegrass Praise

"Daniel Prayed"

--- If you're a fan of traditional Bluegrass music, I think you'll enjoy this one featuring Patty Loveless with Ricky Skaggs.

Oh Daniel served the living God while upon this earth he trod
He prayed to God every morning, noon and night
He cared not for the king's decrees, but trusted God to set him free
Oh Daniel prayed every morning, noon and night

They locked him in the lions den because he would not honor men
But he prayed to God every morning, noon and night
The jaws were locked, it made him shout, God soon brought him safely out
Oh Daniel prayed every morning, noon and night

Oh Daniel served the living God while upon this earth he trod
He prayed to God every morning, noon and night
He cared not for the king's decrees, but trusted God to set him free
Oh Daniel prayed every morning, noon and night.

85 Apart from zakat, the Quran and Hadeeth (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him) also stress sadaqah, or voluntary almsgiving, which is intended for the needy.  The Quran emphasizes feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, helping those who are in need, and the more one helps, the more God helps the person, and the more one gives, the more God gives the person.  One feels he is taking care of others and God is taking care of him.
