Thing is, though, you can't really hide mental deterioration. Polio, sure, since it doesn't affect the mind. You don't need to worry about a polio victim suddenly turning into a drooling idiot. Mental deterioration, on the other hand, is something that progresses. And it tends to progress quickly. Chances are that if she was voted into office with some form of mental deterioration, before the end of her first term she would have to go into complete seclusion, like Wilson, in order to hide it from the public.

Axis is the best venison I've ever had. I have heard sika is better, and blackbuck antelope is supposed to be very good as well, but I've never had either of those. Both of those run wild in this area.

Brown's starting to get a bit long in tooth.
And California turned quite savagely on Wilson during the latter's second attempt at the presidency while he was still the sitting governor. We know that Brown wants to be in the White House. He actually did try and run in the past (and got nowhere very quickly). But he wouldn't bring anything to the election (California already votes solidly Democratic), and could conceivably cause a backlash that might actually put the state back into play.

Um, junior, it is hard to believe *any* conceivable candidacy or development, of any kind, could put CA in play on the presidential level. You'd need a de-mobilization of living and dead and multiple-voting Dem drones (from "educated" coastal prosperous NPR twits to busloads of ethnic robot voters) on a yuuuuuge scale to make it even close.

Do you remember the Wilson fiasco? Wilson ran for president while sitting as governor (despite a promise not to do so). He admittedly had quite a few *other* problems (throat surgery, for one...). But the reaction from Californians to his run was decidedly negative.
Now such a reaction to Brown isn't guaranteed by any means. But the thought that it *might* occur is something that a smart Dem strategist should have already thought about.

For voting purposes New York State can be divided into three parts: NYC, the NYC suburbs and upstate. NYC is obviously leftist but voted in Giuliani for two terms and a nominal Republican Bloomberg for three. DeBlasio only won because only 25% of registered voters bothered to vote. Upstate New York is akin to West Virginia, and votes even more Republican. An underfunded unknown -- Rob Astorino -- did quite well against Cuomo in nearly all the upstate counties, including because of opposition to Cuomo's gun control legislation. The suburbs are jump ball.
Based on actual votes in 2012 -- with Obama at the top of the ticket -- NYC, even though it has half the population had only 35% of the total votes cast. NY suburbs had 25% and upstate had 40%.
I reran numbers by county by goosing Astorino's upstate totals by 5 to 10%, having the Republican eke out the NYC suburbs and adding a lighter NYC turnout.
The Republican wins.
