The full grim spectacle is here; RedState's Streiff (who asks, "How disastrous was Obama's press conference?") offers his thoughts and a two minute clip which shows Obama's usual petulance when he is proven wrong, yet again.
Twitchy documents the live reaction to the presser, in which the press, for once, did not have Obama's act. In fact, they seemed to have his ass, asking the same question over and over, which annoyed him greatly, because he wouldn't actually answer it in any sensible way. A man who keeps offering the same empty answers -- "allies have to step up," "a warped ideology on the wrong side of history," "contrary to our values," etc. -- cannot complain this petulantly about being asked the same questions. The other thing people noticed is that Obama gave his typical bloodless "I'd rather be golfing" sort of listless drone about the dead of Paris and his alleged enemies in ISIS, but then, as usual, became interested and emotionally engaged when he was asked about his real enemies, Republicans and Americans.After a devastating, lethal terrorist attack against the West, Obama's anger only flashes when denouncing Republican rhetoric.

Their opponents can’t be merely wrong. Instead they are racist, bigoted, homophobic, or -- despite professed love of the disabled -- "Aspergery." The arrogance is overwhelming, and the fake tough-guy posture of name-calling elitists is laughable to everyone but themselves.

Technically, they've already made an attack - the two ISIS guys who attempted to kill Pam Gellar in TX. The US Merced stabber also has an ISIS flag in his dorm room. The FBI is mum on the motivated the Chattanooga, TN shooter.

I already wrote my Senators (Vitter and Cassidy) as well as my US Rep (Scalise) demanding action -- not words -- to reverse and stop this Syrian "refugee" insanity. Well done is better than well said.
I also wrote Catholic Charities of New Orleans, who hosting the "refugees" (with Federal taxpayer funds) during their 90 day settlement period and helping them sign up for DHS (welfare) programs to tell them what I think of them helping ISIS to infiltrate this country while ISIS beheads Christians in the Middle East.
Probably will not do much good but it made me feel better.
Trump/Cruz 2016. I'm fully committed now. If Trump does nothing else but build the wall and send the "refugees" back out, he'll be a great POTUS and miles better than anyone else in the field on either side.

EU-NATO members should have at least 100k combat troops at the ready. But they don't. I believe Poland and the Baltic nations have - or are in process of standing up two new brigades - maybe 6k troops total. Polish troops are pretty bad ass - and I expect Lithuanian troops to be of the same caliber.
Germany/Netherlands and Norway are in process of creating a "spearhead" of approx. 3500 fast reaction troops supposedly ready by mid-summer 2016.

Our so called NATO allies did the bare minimum in Iraq-Afghanistan to help us. For too long, the USA has been NATO. They took money away from their military's budgets to go on a social spending spree which gave the people ample time to party it up at the War Protests.
We send the best military hardware to Saudi and Jordan. Gave a state of the art airstrip to the Saudis. Why aren't they using it?

My brother is a policeman in the city there, and I asked him a few days ago if they had figured out if the shooter was connected with ISIS, and he says they are still working on the investigation. He also said that one of the benefits for him of the attack was that he got to hang out with some of the FBI and other national security types, and was pretty impressed with them.

Quite a few NATO nations have over 100,000 military personnel (even Greece!), including Poland. So I suspect I'm missing some nuance in your comment.
Also, having 100,000 troops simply isn't practical for some of the very small nations. The most dramatic example of this would be Luxemburg, which has a population that's only slightly over 500,000. It could probably afford a larger military (the country has a little over a thousand active duty personnel), but 100,000 would cripple it economically.

We have a small--but rapidly growing--and noisy Muslim population that pops out babies at a rate that would have made Catholic families of the 1940's and 50's blush.
They are noisy and they are politically active. They are not in ghettos though and many of them are in business. You would not believe how many restaurants and hookah lounges there are centered around Main street in the Paterson/Clifton area ....
If we get Syrian refugees, they will literally be on my doorstep.

I think they dump them in rural or low-populated areas.
That way the majority of the American public don't notice anything different in their neighborhoods and way of life.

According to Wiki, the US spent the most in military expenditures in 2014 as a percentage of GDP at 3.5 percent. The next four countries on the list all spent 2.2 percent of their GDP on military expenditures. They are France (no surprise), Turkey (again, no surprise), UK (no surprise), and Greece(!). Estonia had the 6th highest expenditures as a percentage of GDP, at 2 percent.

I had an Afghan interpreter near Konduz. He was always proselytizing to me, telling my how perfect Islam is. I told him bluntly many times that I was not allowed, forbidden by the US Military in fact, to discuss my religion with host country nationals and that I would appreciate it if he stopped.
He didn't. One day, I said: "Let me tell you the difference between Islam and Christianity. We will sacrifice our eternal souls to protect our daughters from harm but you won't sacrifice your family honor." That ended the conversation.
Years later, I was discussing the matter with my Chaplain and he said that really only 10% of Muslims are extremists but they are similar to the WWJD Christians. The difference is the when people weigh their actions against how they perceive Christ would act, it is to instill forgiveness or goodness into the believer. The What Would Mohammed Do crowd are similar but different, he said. Would Mohammed behead apostates? Yup. Stone women to death for adultery? Yup. Indiscriminately kill infidels? Yup.
In this conversation, I stumbled upon what I think is an absolute truth. We are, in America, Judeo-Christian but we have a bad case of practicing the faith only on the important holidays.
Probably 90% of us are Easter Baptists and Sunday Catholics. We rely on having a forgiving God who will take our works in total on Judgement Day but we know we will have some explaining to do.
Now combine the whole story I have told here. We will sacrifice our eternal souls for our children but only 90% of us are really devout. They will sacrifice their children but only about 10% are true extremists.
We only need to fear 10% of them. They should fear 90% of us. We are the crusaders. We know will commit great evil to protect our loved ones. We know we are sinners and, if pressed to do so, will wash our sins away with the blood of Muslims and protect our innocent at the same time.
We know these days will come. We should get started so we can get it over with.
