BREAKING: Biden About To Make An Announcement
Biden, Like Chicago, Is Out

OMG!

Coming in a few minutes...from the Rose Garden....with Obama.

If he's running and doing it there with Obama? Wow, Obama is all in on nuking Hillary.

We'll see in a few minutes.

I could be proven wrong shortly but I think Biden is out. Hard to imagine that he'd be announcing a run in this setting with Obama there.

Update: Not running. Congratulations to Hillary on her nomination.

Having announced he's not running, Biden is now giving his stump speech.

And as a farewell to Joementum 2016.....

The Clintons may have accumulated some dirt on Obama in the last seven years, but the problem Obama posed for Clintonworld in 2008 was that they did NOT have any dirt on him.

Remember all those FBI files on prominent political figures that were sitting in stacks in the West Wing while Bill was President? They were building their own private stash of dossiers, against future opponents of Hillary's.

Except that at the time in the 1990s, Obama was an utterly obscure figure. Not on their radar. So when he emerged as a real threat in 2008, they had no canned oppo to deploy against the guy. They were taken by surprise.

Nor is he the first to profit from it."

...He has become the antithesis of the civil rights struggle, directly attacking the gains we have made and are fighting to hold onto. He embodies a "great black hope" agenda for white tea partiers, and racists who are willing to forgo their racism as long as the black person they control is steeped in their brand of tea...

White people want to hold their foot to black people's necks by rallying behind a brilliant doctor and possibly elevating him to the highest office in the land... which in the process would should inspire many, many more black youths to achieve what he has, in turn making them harder to hold down with evil white people feet?! A spokesman for the Ways and Means Committee chairman said that Ryan does not believe President Barack Obama to be an honest broker on the immigration issue, and would avoid the divisiveness that comes with immigration reform efforts while Obama remains in the White House."

And I think only maybe Trump, Jindal, and Cruz will do it boldly. (Am I missing anyone? ) A lot of others will be consumed by concerns of fake civility, aka cowardice.

Let's not bring up the fact that Jeb awarded the Grandmonster an award for being awesome not too long after her negligence led to the death of 4 Americans at the hands of terrorists and she lied her spreading behind off in the presence of the dead bodies and in front of their families.

That alone should disqualify Jeb from seeking the nomination.

Cruz is my man, but he's been too busy taking the high road. If he's gonna attack, he better start soon.

Trump's not my guy yet, but as someone said earlier, if we're going down anyways, might as well make it entertaining, so he's #2 on my list.

I just think that's pretty inside baseball. Romney absolutely destroyed Obama in the first debate, the one that actually mattered.

Was there a voter out there that would have pulled the lever for Romney had he gone more negative against Crowley? Not sure that voter really exists. Had a completely different moderator been at that debate, I still think the end result would have been the same.

Every campaign tries to play that line between beating up your opponent and not coming off too negative that you turn people off. Romney was just not very good at being a "scorched earth" candidate, so they wanted to play the more statesman role.

Ultimately, our side lost us the election, had the same coalition come out in 2004, we would have won easily. What Candy Crowley did or did not do should be irrelevant,

If you want to say "these people shouldn't have been hired by the candidate" than I agree, but I think too many on our side try and say "if Romney had only said this or that" in the debate when really it was more than likely the people that were in charge of voter contact that dropped the ball.

Romney was a FAR better candidate than George W. Bush but Bush had a FAR better campaign team.

Compare Romney and Bush's 2004 debate. It didn't seem to matter that Bush had probably the worst Presidential debate in my living memory. His team dragged him across the finish line.

Posted by: Mickey Shwarma at October 21, 2015 01:57 PM (voSja)

492 Don't agree that the Clintons didn't have enough dirt on Obama back in 2008. Two other factors were at work, both because Obama was an historic first. 1) The Clintons didn't want to totally alienate the Black Democrat Inner Party, so they couldn't go nuclear. 2) MSM refused to cover anything that would have torpedoed Obama.

As just one example just look at the Rezko affair. Exactly eight years ago Obama was a target of the investigation just as much as Blagovich was. There's documentary proof of this in the publicly available court docket. Among other crimes, Rezko controlled the State Hospital Board and solicited bribes for approvals. There was evidence that Obama was involved. But no MSM outlet would go there.

But it gets to a point where a prosecutor can't indict a winning Presidential candidate, no? Will we see a repeat with Hillary?

Jeb! statement is that W "kept us safe". I guess that's right if you don't include the two largest buildings in the the largest city in the US coming down in a heap of fire and steel killing 3,000+, a direct attack on the Pentagon and by the grace of God and brave Americans an unsuccessful attempt at destroying the Capital.

Why is he going after Jeb!? Because that is a point of separation between him and the others that allows for him to pick up more independents. The Bush name is pretty much mud, but is still tied to the Republican party. If you are going to be the Republican nominee, you better be absolutely clear that you will not be Bush III.
