Regarding Ace's Internet post yesterday I logged onto internet at the downtown Hilton when we got in today and had some problems with many sites I go to on a daily basis and also gmail. Could be connection problems, etc., who the hell knows.

Went to Ace of Spades HQ and it came right up, no problems.

I'm living in Tianjin, China. But not for much longer--Houston bound in two weeks! Yeah, most Google sites are blocked in China, along with a host of others. Luckily, AoSHQ, Insty, Drudge, and RealClearPolitics are accessible here. If one of those were blocked, I'd be spending monthly fees for a good VPN (which slows the already slow connections in China).

Now, if we were in South Korea (so near to Tianjin) connections would be world-class.

32 Thanks Kevin C for the heads up. Flew over Tianjian on approach into Shijiazhuang. Just on a 4 day layover, no personal business. I fly for a US charter company that has a contract to fly Saipan to Shijiazhuang, Saipan to Palau to Hong Kong. They keep us out here for 30 days at a time and I can't wait to get back home to Barnegat Bay, NJ where home is and I'm sure you can't wait to get back home in Houston.

There's a seminary student I know named "J" who is serving as a co- pastor at a local church which I will be doing my drama ministry at. J is trying to do this co-pastoring and also maintain a heavy academic load at a tough seminary. "J" wants to get their doctorate too eventually. Ji is extremely talented and a very prayerful person of f but they're feeling overwhelmed right now. I suggested that they might want to talk to our offsite boss about getting less hours, but I don't want to come across as a parent figure even though I could her their parent. :^) Anyway, I prayed with J on Friday and they said that they need guidance and wisdom, so prayers would be appreciated.
