Biden-Supporting PAC Set to Run Tear-Jerking Ad Urging Biden to Run

And we know that Biden can't possibly have anything to do with this, because coordinating with a PAC would be illegal.

Though I have to say I'm suspicious, given yesterday's story that Joe Biden himself leaked the tear-jerking tale of his son Beau urging him to run for president while dying of brain cancer.

This new ad seems of a piece with what could be called Biden's Tragedy Offensive.

Not sure how the fact that he's seen some family deaths in his time qualifies him to be president, but of course this "humanizes" him, if anyone doubted this blustering half-a-wit was human.

I suppose that gives him an edge up on Hillary Clinton. But anyone would come out favorably in a humanity contest with Hillary Clinton, including Hillary's freshly revealed cloud server.

No doubt, the ad is probably effective, at least with the people who ultimately decide the presidency, who are almost uniformly stupid.

Meanwhile, Ed Driscoll writes at Instapundit that Hillary's Oppo Dumpsters seem to have been given the Go-Code by the Haggard Queen, as the leftwing blogs are alive with the sound of Joe Biden's tenacity in the #WarOnWomen.

If gender issues are Hillary Clinton’' primary progressive strength, they’re one of Biden’s major weaknesses. It's not just the role he played in Clarence Thomas’ confirmation hearings, when, as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, his treatment of Anita Hill enraged feminists. Biden let her be grilled mercilessly while assuring Thomas that he had the "benefit of the doubt," and even refused to let three witnesses who might have corroborated her story testify. That was almost 25 years ago, of course, and since then Biden has done several things to redeem himself, including championing the Violence Against Women Act. His decidedly lukewarm record on reproductive rights, however, is harder to dismiss as ancient history, particularly given the onslaught of anti-abortion legislation we're seeing all over the country.

"There have been some clutch moments where he hasn’t been with us," says Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America.

And speaking of clutch moments, it will only be shortly they'll be getting to Biden's penchant for inappropriately touching women like a guy sampling melons at the Hot Melon Go-Go Club.

117 Been banging the drum for a while here that the GOP needs to be running more populist candidates, people who didn't have an easy road in life.

Biden has used this faux "working class" shtick all his political career, even though a ton of it is simply made up. The press never call him on it.

And it DOES THE JOB. It gets serious political traction with the gullible.

Remember Biden's descriptions of his having recently hung out with the ordinary blue collar salt of the earth at Katie's Restaurant on the main street of Wilmington? The place that had in reality been closed for many years? Didn't bother Biden, because the media never questioned it, the GOP never attacked him on it, and the low-information voters ate it up.

As far as populism and being born into the American working class and coming up the hard way, Sarah Palin had a hell of a compelling story to tell, including her paying her own way through school and being a deckhand on a commercial fishing boat, some of the toughest work you can imagine.

Except she never got any of that story out to the public. The snooze media were intent on "shaping the narrative" of Palin's life along a completely different vector. And John McCain's incompetent campaign staff were worried that if they gave any paid media to Palin, they'd overshadow the notoriously egocentric Maverick, who would get pissed and fire them.

That's the Lake Murray dam.

Also interesting, underneath Lake Murray is the remains of a town that was submerged to build the lake.

GSS: 18 yr trend: +0.08 C/decade (sea surface temps)
HadCRUT4 (UK Met Office/U East Anglia): 18 yr trend: +0.07 C/decade
NCDC: 18 yr trend: +0.06 C/decade
RSS: 18 yr trend: +0.00 C/decade
UAH: 18 yr trend: +0.10 C/decade

the best data is RSS satellite record of temps in the lower troposphere (iirc) -- these can't be "adjusted" upward like surface temps

Well, its wikipedia, but:

In 1964, Yojimbo was remade as A Fistful of Dollars, a Spaghetti Western directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood in his first appearance as the Man with No Name. Leone and his production company failed to secure the remake rights to Kurosawa's film, resulting in a lawsuit that delayed Fistful's release in North America for three years. It would be settled out of court for an undisclosed agreement before the U.S. release.

What probably happened was Biden's wife pulled out in front of the truck and the truck driver couldn't stop in time. It was a terrible burden for everyone, but no excuse for a sitting Senator lying about the driver being drunk at the time.

287 The 97% thing is a non sequitur.

It's meaningless that a certain percentage agrees with your claims if it's not reproducible.

That they wouldn't/won't release their data and the models they used is tantamount to an admission that it's all been jiggered up and it isn't reproducible.

But then we all knew that after the Emails came out.

They've been stonewalling ever since in hopes that eventually they manage to destroy those who have doubts and that's where most of their energy has gone to ruin the reputations of those who doubt and to present theories on why the pause exists yet still points to Climate Change being caused by Man.

Without the key point of Man (read industry and growth) being the cause of increased warmth which is supposed to automatically mean that bad things will happen.

That's one of the key sticking points. So what if it gets a little warmer. Which is why they have to also claim all sorts of bad things will happen if the World Temperature increases even a tiny bit.

All the while ignoring that big ball of fusion reactions taking place 93 million miles away having anything to do with the temperature on Earth.

Every single time the GAO does an audit on one of the larger Fed agencies, they ALWAYS find billions missing. It's so routine it's nearly unremarkable. Nobody goes to prison. No accounting rules change. It's standard practice.

If 1/10 of the money that goes missing from Fed agencies went missing from a publicly traded company's retirement account, many people would go to prison. It would be national news for a year. The company name would become a sneer, like Enron.

Well...Cruz didn't want to get into the my experts vs your experts which libtards love to wallow in-

that way the Sierratard could say "well we agree to disagree" or some such nonsense.

Cruz was after bigger game, which was-

that the Sierra Club recommendations were purely political and unconcerned with science.

Because the hard objective scientific facts prove the Sierra Club reason for destroying the economy is not only wrong, not only objectively wrong but scientifically wrong.

And the near-retard running the Sierra Club did not have science on his side, did not even understand the basis of science that he claimed, but-

instead was a rather stupid, very silly little slogan-spouting corruptbot, who had so little understanding and intelligence that he had to keep consulting his assistants to even formulate an answer.

ie. someone whose opinions and advice and recommendations could not and definitely should not be taken.

Yes, the phoney-baloney 97% figure should have been addressed at the hearing, but not by Cruz cuz that wasn't his point.

He succeeded because the Sierratard could not use any scientific or objective data to refute Cruz.

Cruz clearly won and the replies by Sierratard showed the shallowness and idiocy of his position and reasoning for his policy.

If you're* so brainwashed by AGW-alarmism, that you can't see that Sierratards "logic" rested on parroting a 19 year old popularity poll that doesn't take into account modern data,

then that's on you.

Not any reflection on what Cruz did or didn't do.

It's like believing in bodily humors, because all the scientists did 400 years ago. Same same.

That makes you an idiot unable to think and take in new data.

Believers can't be reasoned into unbelief. They follow the meme / creed of the day because it's cool.
So the point is making one of the leaders look foolish and uncool.
That makes the believer pliable and open to following the next cool fad.
What the right needs is a fad leader for live like these. That's where Trump comes in.
Also, Cruz is engaged in a thankless task.- the believers will hate him more, even if they eventually drop out of the AGW cult.

Eh, the problem is nobody is ever swayed in this argument let alone at congressional hearings which even a majority of people here don't watch. And this is a much more politically active group than the public at large.

The 97% thing has been debunked for literally years and anyone who could be persuaded by actual facts has already been persuaded. I thought Cruz did an excellent job demonstrating what an empty suit the Sierra Club president is and how completely fact free was his analysis.

And again, nobody is going to see it but a tiny slice of the public anyway.

Why? Because you can still see the tops of her boots. Hell, you can still see the bottom of her boots! You can still see her whole dog! Her coat is unzipped and the scarf is just hanging, not wrapped around her face. No hat!
That's not cold. That's autumn.

The original concept of employing beautiful women as "stewardesses" came to a screeching halt after Joe Six, the CEO of the original Continental Airlines was sued for the catchy phrase, "We Really Move Our Tails For You."

It's been downhill ever since, with carriers forced to employ slovenly fat and arrogant scrunts with asses that won't fit in the aisle space. Also forced to employ very effeminate fags and demonstratively mad, rude blacks who will read you the riot act if you don't concur with their black liberation theology concepts they bring to the workplace.

File a complaint with a carrier against any of the above and you will be essentially ignored. Maybe receive a letter from a low level turd stating they have taken action to correct the problem, when in fact they swept it under the rug to prevent the EEOC complaint from the employee for working in a hostile environment. Welcome to inclusive America!

Bush issued an EO narrowing the scope of eminent domain but it is mainly a state issue.

A bunch of state have also passed legislation narrowing the scope since the Kelo ruling. Forget the GOP, this was a big conservative issue not to long ago. But I realize the rules are different for Trump.

Joe isn't that slow, he is not planning on taking on the Clinton Smear Machine. He hasn't made enemies of them over the last 25 years and doesn't intend to alienate their diehard fans or supporters.

Joe will be the White Knight who rides in to save the down-ticket from certain disaster. His candidacy will be a last hurrah, it isn't likely to win - unless the GOP does something monumentally stupid like nominate Trump.
