1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, October 05, 2015 and it has finally quit raining, at least for now. On this day in 1921 the World Series was broadcast on the radio for the first time.

2 Obama has set a new precedent for Democrats with his illegal "pen and ink" regulations.

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton will propose new gun control measures, including a vow to employ executive action to expand background checks for firearms sellers at gun shows and online.

The old "gun show" loop-hole lie. What they are talking about is deals between private individuals but they never say that. Actual gun dealers who operate out of kiosks at gun shows already do background checks. Even if by some disaster this scrunt gets elected, which I don't think will happen, she does not have the authority to implement new laws on her own. This is all aside from the fact that not a single one of her proposals would have prevented this shooting. This is just more of the Democrat/Commie incrementallism in moving down the road to gun confiscation (for everybody but them). If Scankles were still living in AR and was a Senator from there she would never make these kinds of stupid statements because she would be out on her ass in the next election.

5 Syrian activists said late Sunday that Islamic State (ISIS) militants TERRORISTS have destroyed a nearly 2,000-year-old arch in the ancient city of Palmyra, the latest victim in the group's campaign to destroy historic sites across the territory it controls in Iraq and Syria.

And they can't say this was idolatry. It was an ancient arch.

7 Utah GOP Rep. Jason Chaffetz on Sunday officially announced his bid to become the next House speaker, challenging next-in-line Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and vowing to bridge the divide that has roiled the chamber's GOP caucus.

He's better than McCarthy but not by much. ACU rating of 84.

It is great to see somebody knock Hillary, just like 2008 but I'm starting to think the senile old socialist has a real chance of getting elected. Obama being elected twice is proof that the county has degenerated so much that this is very real danger.

54 This rain in the Carolinas is worse than a hurricane in that it keeps "training" through the same areas and won't move on out like a hurricane or tropical system. It did it in parts of Texas this spring. It parks and won't leave. Then a new batch moves in and does it again. And again. The ground becomes saturated, and rivers, creeks and ditches are full and the water has no where to go. With a hurricane it blows, rains and goes. And the areas flooding look very flat like in Texas so the floodwater spreads everywhere especially streets which are usually at a lower grade than the buildings for obvious reasons so people are stuck in an impassable road system. It is stressful, messy, can be dangerous, and public emergency services get overwhelmed quickly. It is awful.

I live in what was once a very very republican neighborhood. A couple weeks ago a Bernie Sanders yard sign appeared on the lawn of someone down the street -- the shittiest looking least maintained house. Ugly green moss growing a couple inches thick on the shingles, yard overgrown. Not to brag but the homes here run from 600k minimum to about 3 times that.

Proudly displaying a yard sign for a socialist 16 months before the election. Reminds me of the Talking Heads lyric, 'how did I get here?'. Pisses me off.

57 It seems Hillary is going to go for the full "gun control" platform after the shootings in Oregon according to Fox. She is going to announce this week in New Hampshire she will use Executive action to do a lot including:

"Clinton will unveil her plans Monday during a campaign swing through New
Hampshire. Her campaign says her proposals include a repeal of
legislation shielding gun manufacturers, distributors and dealers from
most liability suits, even in the case of mass shootings like the one
that killed nine students and teachers at a community college on
Thursday."

Normally I would say good luck with using EO's to overturn actual written law, but after obama it gives any future Democrat the green light to do whatever they want to.

I suspect all of her focus groups told her it would be a great idea to run with gun control but it is going to be a losing platform for her just as it has been for other Dems. She is swinging way over to the left in an attempt to counter Sanders. She is terrified of him apparently.

It will be interesting to see if, like the GOP, the Democrat establishment will try to destroy a candidate that it's base is crazy about.

And you gotta love how the Donks can ratchet the rhetoric up and suffer no blowback because the GOP is filled with a bunch of gutless, spineless pussies.

Guns is the one thing hillary can get to the left of Sanders on. Vermonters dont cotton to gun control, which is why Sanders pretty much stays mum on the issue.

100 Since we are still talking about Scankles gun control push I will repeat my earlier post

Obama has set a new precedent for Democrats with his illegal "pen and ink" regulations.

This isnt good news untill we know who is benefitting from Mr. Trumps diminished lead. I fear that Dr Carson and Mrs Fiorina are just as unqualified for the presidency as Mr Trump.

They want to, but they know they're not ready for that yet. They don't have quite the support on their side that they want to achieve before they do something that daring. Even as far as they've come, their hardcore support is fairly small as an overall percentage of the population. Almost all of the Left's (anti-) morality and policy positions can be summed up thus: The sin of pride masquerading as compassion. They think they are so much better and so much smarter than the inherited wisdom of thousands of years of Western Civilization that they can redefine it as its diametric opposite and succeed.

166 Chaffetz is better than McCarthy but not by much. ACU rating of 84.

IIRC, Chaffetz ran and won as a Tea Party conservative, but has since revealed himself to be something of a weasel; really working hard to ingratiate himself with the Establishment. It was he, for example, who punished Freedom Caucus Republicans on his committee for opposing Boehner on Obamatrade.

He also made a big show of endorsing DIABLO Orrin Hatch in the last Senate primary. I figured at the time Hatch would pay him back by anointing him as his successor.

He's a weasel.

Libs always say that because it's one of the few examples of socialism that works. Heck, if I thought the US could be like Sweden, I might not oppose the Dem agenda so much. The thing is Sweden is and will continue to fall apart under the strain of massive third world immigration. Which is why the Dems dream will never succeed here. We're are up to around 30% of the population unable/unwilling to take care of themselves and millions more that want to join them. A welfare state cannot last long when such a high percentage of the population just wants to live of the rest. The libs that want us to be like Sweden just refuse to believe what is right in front of their eyes.

255 Sadly, bad people just don't respond to words or ideas or concepts. History proves this. They do respond to force.

And, often enough, they respond simply to a credible threat of force. At least, if that threat is credible enough and made early enough.

I think we've passed that point though. While I pray that I'm wrong, I think the original post is right - fixing things is going to require bloody revolution.

And, of course, that has its own perils, since you can never know what will arise from the ashes until it has already arisen.

260 Twelve Christians have been brutally executed by the Islamic State, including the 12-year-old son of a Syrian ministry team leader who had planted nine churches, because they refused to renounce the name of Jesus Christ and embrace Islam. The martyrs were faithful to the very end; right before one woman was beheaded by the terror group, she appeared to be smiling slightly as she said, "Jesus."

Tell me again why the OR shooter is a "white supremacist" when what he did is more in line with ISIS?

261 Manager to Hillary sloppily removing fish guts: 'You've got to do a better job, people can get sick if you don't remove all the guts.'
Hillary: 'At this point what difference does it make? !!!???!!'
Manager: 'Here, I'll let Donald explain it to you.'
Donald: 'You're fired. Loser.'

265 You should be able to find some of her cow-orkers somewhere. If they're still alive, which I rather doubt.
Fish, in one form or another, seems to be a recurring theme in her "life."

267 Syrian arches? Not my problem. Govt and media that papers over genocide waged against white Christians in their Christian homeland. BIG FUCKING PROBLEM. Didn't Farrakhan call for the murder of white Christians? How is it possible this Fu Ker is walking free today? How is it possible nobody seems to give two shits that he calls for the cold blooded murder based on ethnicity and religion and his followers do what he calls on them to do and he isn't classified a terrorist?

268 Every week, Chuck Todd talks about the end of Trump's campaign. And I'm not exaggerating. This week, he had a short interview with Trump. Todd would ask a question, give Trump about 30 seconds and start talking over him. I just despise Todd.

269 I can understand why people get excited about Bobby Jindal. I voted for him twice - the first vote was because I thought he would actually do something for Louisiana. The second vote because he was practically unopposed in the race. He started his term with a $1 billion budget surplus and now Louisiana is running a $1.3 billion deficit. He's highly intelligent and pokes an occasional finger in Obama's eye, but I can't see where the state is any better off for his being governor. If you think you might support him based on his speeches alone, I recommend that you try to find some objective criticisms of his performance.

270 I entire American political establishment has been predicting the demise of Trump's campaign for weeks, even months now, in fact they are so desperate for Trump to go away that many of them are just beginning to pretend that it has already happened.

I fully realize that Trump is only marginally conservative, ok?

but he is the ONLY one I trust when he says he will deport illegals, all the progressive nonsense has already been foisted upon us and the current GOP leadership has done NOTHING to stop it, so the little bit of progressive nonsense I get from Trump is irrelevant.

I just want a leader who I can trust to do at least ONE thing that is conservative, I believe Trump when he says he will deport illegals, I don't believe ANY of the others when they speak about illegal immigration.

I don't like Trump, he's a big-mouth and a hot-head and his political philosophy is not well thought out or even coherent.

none of that matters to me anymore, this whole Syrian refugee thing has crystallized one thing in my mind, our Ruling Class is out to destroy my culture by flooding it with people who have no love or respect for it and this MUST be stopped and reversed or none of the other stuff matters.

we MUST deport at least several million illegals if not 10's of millions of them soon or there won't be any United States of America anymore, it will just be another 3rd world hell-hole.

Trump is the only one serious about this so he is my guy, even though it leaves a very bad aftertaste.

272 From the Reason article about the Waco biker arrests....

Generally accepted facts: 9 dead, 20-ish wounded.

Alleged by someone quoted in the article: The police attacked with squad automatic weapons.

Right. You betcha. That's what happened.

273 @270

Exactly! But I think there are some other pluses, too.

As for Jindal, that lengthy anti-Trump rant of his (in which he backed up none of his claims) was what passes for a concession speech these days, doesn't it? And the dude has pledge to support "the Donald" if he wind the nomination, hasn't he? No class.

Then he did a second one. So quitting just ONCE wasn't good enough for him...
