Hillary Is a Really Special Lady, a Continuing Series

In addition, the count of classified emails on her system -- and most likely, therefore, the Russians' system -- has hit 400. And counting.

At least 400 emails that Hillary Clinton sent or received through her private computer server while secretary of state contained classified material, according to the State Department’s latest update Wednesday from its ongoing review of more than 30,000 emails.

In response to a public records lawsuit, the department released another 6,300 pages of the Democratic presidential candidate’s emails after partially or entirely redacting any containing sensitive U.S. or foreign government information on a range of issues.

Is that the wording you intended?

It seems to me the one thing Snowden did that Hillary did not is brag about it (giving intel away) to the media.

6 So tried means they didn't succeed? Why say that and not clarify?

Posted by: Farmer at September 30, 2015 07:27 PM (o/90i)

7 If you take Snowden at his word, he cared about a government that was monitoring everything its citizens were doing.

Ultimately, what he did that Clinton didn't was put his fellow citizens before himself.

Again, if you believe his was an altruistic act. I remain skeptical, but there's at least a chance he wasn't doing it to hurt the country.

18 BREAKING: Emails show Russia-linked hackers tried at least 5 times to break into Clinton private server.

If you run a mail server, it has been probed by virtually every government on the planet. It has been probed by various crackers multiple more times than that. That number is surely waaaay underestimating the actual number of attempts. Some day someone will record the number of successful penetrations or suspected penetrations.

American citizens and taxpayers will never be privy to that information.

Well, Snowden "blew the whistle" to the American people, as it were, that the DoD was violating posse comitatus by using the NSA to spy on American citizens. We also found out that the NSA had infiltrated US companies, had hacked all kinds of "secure" places (like google) and of course was not using warrants.

Hillary! just ignored all federal data retention and protection policies and left herself vulnerable to international hackers who could discover her corrupt pay-for-play schemes, in order to hide her vast corrupt network of swindlers and criminals from FOIA requests, the government, Congress, and ultimately the American people.

Two very different scenarios I'd say.

Then he fled to China under the mistaken belief that they wouldn't extradite him. When China began to buckle, Putin took him in to give Obama the finger.

But the info Snowden leaked was absolutely nothing surprising to the Chinese or Russian governments. They probably do the same kind of spying on their people, and I find it hard to believe that they weren't aware of the NSA programs.

I used to believe that. Observing this government, I do no longer.

Whistleblowers face immeasurable odds and a protracted anal probe and legal risk for the rest of their lives. They become the target of a malevolent, vindictive Borg. Whistleblowing, at best, becomes their raison d'etre whether they choose it to be or not.

Considering what was leaked, Snowden's disclosures never would have reached the citizens. He would have been silenced; his discoveries buried.

234 Just read an article that the City of Berkeley is spending $$$ to hire a "Restorative Justice" coordinator to deal with a rash of violent crimes by junior gangbangers on middle school and high school campuses.

I dropped this comment on the site -- let's see if the moderators over there let it stand:

---

"Restorative Justice" is a disastrous hoax that has completely FAILED to lower violence or improve environments in any school which has been foolish enough to implement it.

The entire approach is based on the theory that violent youth offenders "act out" because they have "low self-esteem"; but this theory has been proven to be completely untrue. Every study ever done on the subject has shown that violent offenders have self-esteem that is HIGHER than normal, not lower.

Despite the obvious untruth at the core of the theory, the "Restorative Justice" coordinators instead spend their efforts praising, helping, complimenting and encouraging the offenders, to make them "feel better about themselves." This is supposed to then translate into less violence committed by them, but in reality translates into MORE violence, because praise and esteem-boosting only amplifies their psychopathy.

Furthermore, even more infuriating, the "harm circles" in some programs are a complete reversal of normal jurisprudence, where the VICTIM is FORCED to sit in a room with the tormentor and then CONFESS HIS OR HER "RACIAL PRIVILEGE", to which the criminal then says "I forgive you."

The entire process becomes politicized and racialized, and white victims are often compelled to apologize for being part of an oppressive racist system, which is blamed for being to root of the problem.

Anecdotal accounts by victims say the "harm circle" process was even more traumatic than the original violent crime. Adding to the insanity, the criminal engages in this "circle" IN LIEU OF actual punishment. After humiliating the victim, the criminal then walks away scot-free.

And in order to artificially make it appear that the "restorative" program has lowered crime rates at school, incidents "settled" this way are not included in the statistics, so lo and behold, there are fewer recorded violent incidents! Of course, the number of incidents which actually occur stays the same (or goes up); it's just the number of RECORDED incidents that goes down.

It's so fabulous that Berkeley taxpayers will fund this program. Next, at this rate, they'll happily fund the purchase of a big meat grinder that the city can feed their children into.

What this breeds is the 19th all over again as countries go Imperial and seek to expand their hegemony until coming into contact with another nascent imperial power. Everything that gave us WWI in other words. But this time with nuclear, bio, cyber, and space weapons.

Posted by: Anna Puma

Not quite yet. The "harm circles" usually entail a violent offender sitting in a room with the victim (who is compelled to attend) and a "moderator."

But the "moderator" is almost always a revolutionary black radical with grey hair who has reinvented himself from a street fighter to a "mentor" of "black youth."

The circle is not about punishing the offender, but "helping" the offender and victim "work out their differences." Which the moderator then turns into racial resentment.

The true purpose of the "restorative justice" program is to recruit a new generation of minority revolutionaries. They try to convert criminals to Marxist thought.

329 "According to John Braithwaite (2004), restorative justice is:

...a process where all stakeholders affected by an injustice have an opportunity to discuss how they have been affected by the injustice and to decide what should be done to repair the harm. With crime, restorative justice is about the idea that because crime hurts, justice should heal. It follows that conversations with those who have been hurt and with those who have inflicted the harm must be central to the process.

...Victim-offender mediation
Victim-offender mediation, (VOM, also called victim-offender dialogue, victim-offender conferencing, victim-offender reconciliation, or restorative justice dialogue), is usually a meeting, in the presence of a trained mediator, between victim and offender...
..."

That's the race-neutral theory. In practice, in America's big city, it's all about race. But notice that the system basically REQUIRES that the victim be part of the process.

470 Warm nasal saline flushes simply thin the mucus, as well as flushing any pollen etc. that are present. It works for me. There is no reason that it should not reduce congestion for anyone with any sinus/nasal congestion. It ain't magic.
Posted by: Mike Hammer,

It's therapeutic at best.

Pollen doesn't normally collect in your nasal cavities. The entire physiology is predisposed to remove particulates. Otherwise we'd be walking around with pounds of dust in our heads.

Water, saline or not, cannot cure an infection in the sinuses. Period.

496 Pill expiration dates are pretty arbitrary. I remember they did some testing of some old medications sitting on pharmacy shelves, some of them 20 years old. Just about all of them remained at 90% potency.

That included hydrocodone (vicodin). Aspirin had lost some of its potency not to be acceptable turned out, but most everything else was fine and dandy.

Note this doesn't apply to liquids. Some might last, but some do break down. Pills, however, mostly last for decades.

520 OK, 5 reasons Hillary will not be indicted:

1) Conservatives and Tea-party types want it, and the power brokers will burn the entire system to the ground and sell their children to the Tartars before they allow that

2) It would involve work that would take them away from stuffing the pockets of the power brokers who will give kick-backs

3) It might convince enough people to start looking into other stinky, smoky things looking for fires

4) There is too much dirt out there to hide if the top comes off anything, and this includes who all was involved in profiting from the Clinton Global Whatever, shenanigans in the state department and various Executive branch agencies, and the people who were promised goodies will become quite irate to get the spotlight instead and may hold a serious grudge

5) Bill had invited far too many media and governmental and lobbying types to "fun camps" and everyone is afraid of what has been recorded to destroy careers and fortunes.

They will sacrifice everyone to save Hillary, because if she goes everyone else goes down with her. They will leave the country destroyed, occupied and subject to tyranny before raising a finger - hoping that like Stalin she will die before she gets everyone dead.

We don't KNOW how many times they tried to break in because there are no firewall or Intrusion Detection logs. Logs might have shown 0, 20 or 2,000 tries to break in but we'll never know.
