Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Senate Conservative Fund Report: Mitch McConnell Has Been A Longtime Supporter of Planned Parenthood, Voted to Keep Their Funding In Place Numerous Times, as Well as To Permit Medical Trade in Aborted Baby Body PartsI heard Ken Cuccinelli, who I guess is the leader of the SCF, talking about this on Mark Levin; you can read the report here. 1) In 1992, McConnell voted to allow taxpayer-funded research using body parts from aborted babies. Roll Call Vote #263, 10/2/92 This policy, which was vetoed by President George H. W. Bush but later signed into law by President Bill Clinton, had the effect of making abortion even more profitable for Planned Parenthood. (2) Also in 1992, McConnell voted to overturn the so-called "Reagan Rule" that prohibited Planned Parenthood from using taxpayer dollars for pro-abortion counseling. Roll Call Vote #254, 10/1/92 McConnell's vote in this case was to override President Bush's veto, but the House sustained it. Then, in 1993, President Clinton overturned the "Reagan Rule" by Executive Order on the first day of his administration. (3) In 1997, McConnell again voted against a targeted ban on federal funding for research on body parts from abortions. Roll Call Vote #215, 9/4/97 This time, McConnell was one of 14 liberal Republicans who voted to allow taxpayer-funded research on body parts from abortions. In the these three examples, McConnell crossed the then-current Republican president and many of his Republican colleagues in the Senate to open the door for taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood and for research on body parts from aborted babies. (4) McConnell has voted for at least 15 bills that provided funding for Planned Parenthood dating back to 1998. This is important because it shows how long Senator McConnell has tolerated this funding and refused to do anything meaningful to stop it.Meanwhile, his partner in crime John Boehner is scrambling to keep power, because that's all that matters. The Hill reports the GOP caucus is "on edge," worried that the Motion to Vacate may have enough Republican votes to put Boehner out of the speakership. On the Planned Parenthood defunding initiative, he's looking for the more-and-more-typical allies: Conservatives have threatened to shut down the government on Oct. 1 if Congress doesn’t strip federal funding from Planned Parenthood. Boehner thinks a shutdown would be disastrous for the party in an election year, but he also knows conservatives have vowed to move against him if he teams up with Democrats to fund the government.Even if enough Republicans vote to boot Boehner out of the speaker's chair, Democrats could of course vote to keep him in it-- and, again, keeping power is all that matters to these guys, even if he becomes, essentially, the Democratic Speaker of the House despite the Republicans holding the House. If Boehner stays in power, but only because of Democrat backing -- then what does that tell us? And what would that tell us about the other Republicans who vote with the Democrats to keep him? We weren't promised a Unity House of both Republicans and Democrats if we won the vote in 2010, 2012, and 2014; we were promised a Republican House. If Boehner and other Republicans conspire to deliver us a "Unity Government" of united Democrats and Republicans -- well, I guess all I've been saying is entirely vindicated. If you want to understand Catholicism, "Babylon Mystery Religion" covers a lot. Hard to get now because the other backed down ... but much of Catholic, and to a lesser degree other strange "Christian" tradition, is taken straight from pagan traditions.
Changing "son of God" to "God the Son" is part of the Orwellian change. It is the 2+2=5 of religion. They condensed it to 1=3. The "holy trinity". "Trinity" is not in the Bible ... "God the Son" is not in the Bible. But that is the foundation of most "Christian"churches. It's like global warming, but fully inculcated for centuries. It's a "big fucking deal" ... just like the glories of Obamacare ... based in wrong doctrine. Why do people care about aborted fetus body parts?
I ask this seriously. Can anyone explain this? It's not like people are choosing to abort babies in order to harvest their parts. This is simply making use of something that would otherwise be thrown in the garbage. Like donating organs. Or not even 'like' donating organs. It's exactly donating organs. There are scientific uses to these parts. I can't think of a single reason not to make use of them. And on the topic of organ donation. Isn't everyone here an organ donor? If I were governor of my state, I would make organ donation an opt out rather than opt in program. And I'd make opting out come with a stipulation that you can receive no donated organs as well. None of these guys give very defined policy details, because the more specifics you offer, the narrower appeal you have. Trump is just different in how he states it. Many candidates give several paragraphs of Frank Luntz approved pablum, and your eyes are supposed to glaze over and you are supposed to start nodding. Trump just says it is going to great and we are all going to love it.

Oh, it would be "disastrous" for the "GOP" is there is a shutdown "in an election year."
Le fisk: -- It's disastrous if we DON'T have a shutdown, because by avoiding conflict, we had pre-emptively surrendered. By endless running to avoid "bad publicity," you are granted the media a Bully's Veto, because the media will ALWAYS criticize the GOP if it resists the march to totalitarian socialism in any way. -- Bad for the GOP? Then fuck the GOP in the fucking ass. Smash the GOP into tiny bits of gravel and dust with the sledgehammer of voter fury. I'm done with a mere "Talk to the hand" attitude toward the GOP; now it's "Take to the fist." -- Oh, so 2015 is now "an election year"? I thought 2014 and 2016 were election years. So, basically, every day of every year is now part of an endless nonstop campaign, and we ALWAYS have to worry about the next vote at the ballot box. A rare 3,000-year-old seal, dating back to the periods of Kings David and Solomon in the tenth century BCE, was recently discovered by a 10-year-old Russian volunteer at Jerusalems Temple Mount Sifting Project.
Dr. Gabriel Barkay, co-founder and director of the project which sifts through thousands of tons of illegally removed earth from the contested holy site in 1999 by the Wakf Muslim religious to build a mosque said that the finding is unprecedented. The seal is the first of its kind to be found in Jerusalem, said Barkay, a world-renowned archaeologist and Israel Prize laureate, who has led the project for over 10 years. The dating of the seal corresponds to the historical period of the Jebusites and the conquest of Jerusalem by King David, as well as the construction of the Temple and the royal official compound by his son, King Solomon. What makes this discovery particularly significant, Barkay continued, is that it originated from upon the Temple Mount itself. Posted by: Nevergiveup at September 24, 2015 06:18 PM (DUoqb) 195

Yes. Politics isn't a public service; it's a profession. Long ago that couldn't be said. We have evolved into a caste system wherein the haves dis-empower and rob the have-nots in order to keep both halves. Witness the collusion of politicians, their campaign industry, and the CoC to raid the once-fat middle class and widen the disparity at the poles. I actually read up on this subject lately. The original boats were of WWII design, designed for amphibious landings. Some of the surplus boats after the war made it to somewhere in Wisconsin or somewhere stupid. Then I think Boston. Then they spread out. Very few of those still in service. Boston retired their last "authentic" DUCK boat a few years ago, as maintenance costs were (understandably) sky rocketing. most modern DUCK boats are recent reproductions. Posted by: Lauren at September 24, 2015 06:59 PM (/lvv6) If the GOP gains power we'll expect them to DO something and get mad at them for surrendering. If they could just get out of power, they could go back to fundraising and railing against the Democrat decisions. "Oh, if only Obama wasn't president!" Illiniwek, then you really don't want to dig into Egyptian religion. People talk of how Akhenaten tried to reform to being monotheist but ignore how in the original polytheistic incarnation, Egyptian gods and goddesses of one part of the nation would merge with with deities to create composite deities that would assume the functions of both. In other words, borrowing is a natural event.
Islam borrowed from Judaism and a Nesotarian flavor of Christianity plus a healthy seasoning of desert mythology to include the lunar god Allah's name to create itself. But then they put a lock box on theological evolution. Or tried to, but various factions have been rewriting their code and killing apostates since day one. While proclaiming they are the true and final faith. Posted by: Anna Puma at September 24, 2015 07:04 PM (24ia6) 378

That's why Congress has an approval rating in the teens while the President of indeterminate religious beliefs never ventures much lower than 50%. I don't think this country could ever elect the dumbest Bush of the lot, even with free crack to get out the vote. Jeb needs to realize that Andy Warhol has a stopwatch and his 15 minutes are up. Anna said: " proclaiming they are the true and final faith."
yeah, there is a lot of "borrowing", but it seems the old testament guys were fairly disciplined, and more rational. Muslims seems to be looking for a religious excuse, or a motivation for their "terrorist" expansion. So I don't think the bible has it all right, but there is a better history of community there ... building more than conquering. So the perversions of the bible by for example the catholics ... in putting so much political power in the pope's hands ... is a straying from a well thought out religion, to one that was convenient for obtaining power. Luther and others reformed, though they were still dogmatic. But I see catholics as more dangerous and problematic since they put so much authority in the hands of one guy ... and he has leftists advising him on global warming and open borders. The Christian ideals of the WASPy guys seemed to remove power from the tyrant popes ... and that is how we got our country ... as opposed to kings that had some strange union with the church. We have God and then man directly next in line ... not government and NOT the church. But the left and the pope both want to "intercede", supposedly on our behalf. No thanks.
