SENATORS RUBIO, KIRK: OBAMA IS SENDING SECRET LETTERS TO FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS PROMISING THAT NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THEM IF THEY DO BUSINESS WITH IRAN

It's not just capitulation, it's fellation.

Adam Kredo reporting:

Two leading U.S. senators are calling on the Obama administration to release secret letters to foreign governments assuring them that they will not be legally penalized for doing business with the Iranian government, according to a copy of a letter sent Wednesday to the State Department and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

....

The Obama administration is purportedly promising the foreign governments that if Iran violates the parameters of a recently inked nuclear accord, European companies will not be penalized, according to the secret letters.

...

"These letters appear to reassure these foreign governments that their companies may not be impacted if sanctions are re-imposed in response to Iranian violations of the agreement," they claim. "While Administration officials have claimed that this is not the case, we think it is important for the American public to be able to read your assurances to foreign governments for themselves as their elected representatives review this deal in the coming weeks."

...

Under the terms of the agreement, sanctions on Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a paramilitary force known to commit acts of terrorism across the globe, will be lifted.

It's astonishing that the White House is sending these letters to foreign governments -- thus indicating they are in no ways "secret" -- and yet hiding them from the American people.

Allah's post on the Iranians being permitted to "inspect themselves" alludes to this; in my words, not his, Obama is not hiding secrets from foreign enemies, but domestic enemies -- American voters and their representatives in Congress.

No comment on the Parchin deal, says the Most Transparent Administration in History.

17 How is this not "aid and comfort" to our enemies?

Because these letters also reassure Iran that they can act with impunity and still do business with the world.

These letters provide aid and comfort to Iran in that they now know that nothing they do will interrupt their supply of goods--including arms and other weapons of war.

But, impeachment is racist.

61 I believe there is no parallel in history, where the leader of a country secretly tells the world there will be no consequence for a country violating its treaty obligations.

It's like telling the world that, despite the Treaty of San Francisco, that Japan would not have to pay an reparations, was free to re-arm and any country or corporation supplying them arms would suffer no consequences.

Reagan sold a few guns to some rebels in a shithole country to help them fight for freedom.

Obama is selling the whole store--guns, food, ammunition, tanks, rockets, airplanes, you name it--to Iran for . . . well, there isn't ever the pretense of a noble cause here.

Not helping Israel, just attempting to isolate us from the "fallout" of an Israeli strike. I think Bibi has given us notice they are going in, and Obama wants to be seen as having clean hands to the muzzies. Not that it will matter, they will burn our shit anyways. I think we'll see some event - e.g. "warning of major terrorist attack" that allows State to evacuate dependents, then an Israeli strike(s).

Obama, and a lot of people like Obama, think that the country would be a lot better off if the U.S wasn't such is disproportional power on Earth. Is he giving away the farm? Sure. But that's what the elected leader of our country is all about.

He's only doing what he promised to do. As good citizens, we just need to bite our collective lips and wait until the next election.

------

Whatever you want. Impeachment isn't a legal action, its a political action. Now your politics will be better if there is something legal to base it on.

Regardless, you are right to a point. But I'm not sure the country voted for this. The country did vote for him. He promised to get us out of Iraq (mistake IMO), and he delivered on that promise.

Impeachment can be a last resort, there are a lot of things short of impeachment. For starters, treating a treaty like its a treaty that requires 2/3 approval.

Have any Senators demanded that Choom Boy release the Sooper Sekret texts of the Iran "agreement? The ones, that is, that Iran didn't already bamboozle and flim-flam Choom Boy and Kerry to accept as so secret the U.S. can't know about them?

I didn't think so.

Someone -- and the list of Senators with the balls to stand up for America is pretty damn short -- had better figure this shit out, and fast. Despite what the Mocha Messiah has said -- and his enablers among the Democrats and GOPe have accepted as Truth -- it's not going to take Iran any damn 10 years to build a nuke after the "agreement" wears off.

Wouldn't really surprise me if they had one or more now and are just waiting for the Russians to provide delivery systems.

Unilaterally failing to enforce immigration law and releasing criminal immigrants into the population.

That's the point. The matter of impeachment should have been cut and dry years ago, making the whole Iran Deal a moot point. If there was such a thing as a non-partisan Democrat, Obama would have been out of office before his re-election campaign spooled up. But the partisan nature of politics has made it impossible to actually censure our elected officials in any meaningful way, especially the President.

This is not how our government is supposed to work. This is not how the Framers intended the branches to interact, nor the electorate to respond. Everything that is happening now is in DIRECT OPPOSITION to the Constitution's limits on federal power. But what's our recourse? We've elected the opposition party in landslides in the past two off-year elections, and to what end? Nothing. Silence.

You might want to rethink that ... idea. And first you argue that the people are allowed to vote for any actions they want - up to and including treason and the destruction of the nation (all outisde the prescriptions of the Constitution, which is NOT open to amending by national referendum) and then you turn around and claim that those same people can't vote with their bodies to do the same when there is a clear enemy and criminal abusing power to harm the nation.

Seriously, you want OT style smiting? Look at what God did to the Israelites when they strayed- He degraded them militarily, He allowed them to lose conflicts, then be conquered. He sent famine and pestilence.

What's happening to the US? Our military is being degraded and defeated (no major losses, yet). We're being invaded by illegals. Drought strikes the South West, and various new diseases are pouring in (I'm now hearing stories of Super Lice).

Sound familiar? I think we'll be lucky if God considers us Babylon. I'm afraid He's going to start looking on us like Sodom.

344 304 We have become a lawless nation teetering on the brink, foreign policy a mess, possible economic melt down, immigration out of control, taxes encourage exporting jobs. But we are still alive and ticking and people still want to come to our streets of gold and steal a brick. If obama is going to have his way it needs to be a little more lawless. Always possible.

One year and four months left. Plenty of time to "finish what he started". It's a long period in Baraka-years.

347 It's always been odd and ironic to me that a "warrior for peace" is
named after a woman from literature who killed her own children to get
back at her husband

She calls herself that. Her mama named her Susan.

352 Anything Obama does can be undone with the right motivation.

Not really. There is such a thing as "irreparable damage". You've even been treated to a healthy dose of it over the past 5 years.

Not everything can be fixed and what has been done to kill the American Constitutional Republic cannot be undone. Trust, which is the most important element of a civlized society governed by the Rule of Law, cannot just be thrown in the trash and then picked back up, wiped off, and things progress like nothing ever happened. When trust is broken and stomped on - and when it is done so completely and overtly - there is no recovery.

After he's been voted out of office.

Posted by: jwest at August 19, 2015 03:53 PM (P/xrJ)

Why? Why would the Rule of Law and the Constitution all of a sudden become normal, again. We have seen that it takes almost nothing for all the arms of the feral government to break every law it wants, make a mockery of the Constitution and the English language, and let it all fly by without even a peep ... and, yet, you seem to think that anyone with a brain would trust that this system can just be put back into place (even ignoring the insane SCOTASS decisions that are now operative) and everything just continues on ... until some other minor issue comes up and everyone breaks all the "laws" again.

No. The US is dead, dead, DEAD. The only way that an American Constitutional Republic is going to exist again is if it's re-established in a new nation. A national divorce is the only way that will happen. Otherwise, start getting comfortable int he American Socialist Superstate because it ain't going anywhere.

they wish it.

366 I hope those that wear badges understand that their oath is to defend the Constitution, not to defend politicians. It is clear that members of Congress, who have also sworn to defend the Constitution, have decided not to do so.

I always assumed that a Constitutional crisis would occur when one branch of government exceeded it's authority, and was confronted by the other branches.

So disappointing to see that this Constitutional crisis is occurring because the entire political establishment is betraying the nation. The crisis is in how to deal with these politicians and restore Constitutional government.
