First Republican Debate -- Or, Rather, Joint Interview Opportunity -- Stars in 3 Minutes on CSPAN

Trump won't be there, and neither will Huckabee, but most everyone else will be.

I think I'll just leave this as the last post of the day, and get to some of the stuff I didn't get to tomorrow.

They should talk about defunding CSPAN. But ... they'll probably just yap about how their constituencies of illegals needs work permits and drivers licenses and citizenship and welfare ...

They should just do this "debate" in Spanish and hold it in Mexico. Or Barky might have let them use one of the White House bathrooms. You know most of this group of retards would just die for an invite to the White House, even if just to be locked in a bathroom.

215 Don't delude yourself. If their vote was necessary to stop the effort to defund planned parenthood they would have done. Their votes were BS cover votes to better maintain their seats.
Posted by: Buzzion at August 03, 2015 08:02 PM (z/Ubi)

-----------

That may well be true but in this case, Manchin and Donnelly did vote to end cloture and I'm going to give them credit for doing so.

I'll do what I can to punish those who voted to keep PP funded, and at the same time, I'm going to reward those who tried to defund PP. I think it is important to try to provide incentives to potential pro-life votes in the Democratic party to remain pro-life instead of driving them off completely, and so I'm going to give Manchin and Donnelly some credit here.

The rest of the Senate's Democrats (and Kirk and Collins, too) can go to hell the hard way.

325 Trump is a result of how badly our current political class has damaged us. Was out of town at a function this week and talked to a lot of people on the "right" or various shades of it. Was amazed at the number that said they supported him and only because he speaks his mind and doesn't care what the media or anyone thinks. They could have cared less about his policies or actual ideology. Scary.

Save the "can't possibly win" lines for those who really deserve it: Democrats.

Inquisitor General -- a new Federal office, created by Constitutional amendment quickly proposed and passed by the 2016 Tea Party Congress and ratified by the States. The Inquisitor General is a lifetime appointment, whose duty it will be to ferret out and prosecute corruption and wrongdoing in the Federal Government. The Inquisitor General is a lifetime appointment, and pay for the position is strictly on a bounty basis: $1,000 per conviction of Federal official (elected, appointed, or otherwise engaged), employee, or federal contractor convicted of a crime against the people of the United States---$10,000 if the crime is committed "under cover of law" (i.e. the IRS abuses, and others).

Additionally, the Inquisitor General will be empowered and required to lay before Congress impeachment charges against any Federal elected or appointed official or judge for high crimes, misdemeanors, and failure to properly interpret the plain meaning of the Constitution.

That's why I say "have you belittled a Democrat you know today?"

That is what needs to happen. Person to person. One by one, two by two.

Democrats need to know that they are DESPISED by the rest of us, for being so colossally stupid as to actually be a Democrat and for having voted for that fuckwad sitting in the White House today. Because Democrats ARE stupid. Really, really, tragically stupid.

They have no problem causally displaying their disdain for us, but oh, they scream like stuck pigs when THEY get dissed.

Those screams should be as nectar to our ears.

491 Ralph and Cruzinator, I have to disagree. Yes, a good deal of Perry's success was that Bush left the state in good shape, but Perry worked tirelessly to bring a variety of businesses to Texas, especially hi-tech. He seemed to spend more time out of state wooing businesses than in Texas.

Perry actively worked to leave Texas in better shape than when he took office, and the results speak for themselves.

It was a response to the comment on Perry's lack of intellect.

Texas prospered while the US and almost every other state failed. It was not an accident. Whether Perry is a genius or just a common Aggie or some intuitive knowledge of how things work gained from growing up the son of a dirt poor cotton farmer he presided over a great nation. That's the bottom line.

513 Forum winners from my perspective:

Fiorina - razor sharp and hard hitting. Good on the "how" we tame the beast.
Jindal - Smooth competence, but delivery a little fast--need to slow down and make fewer points but better. All record, not sure it transfers to fed govt.
Jeb! - Nice riff on how federal role in education needs to be limited, states should set standards. Deflected Common Core with making a sound bite. Slippery SOB.
Cruz -"Washington Cartel" will be his theme, like Edwards' "Two Americas."

Rubio sounded very competent (except for the lisp) but I can't believe a word he says, and he was trying to whip up fear "we see threats every day on the intel committee." The best defense against terrorism is an armed, alert and patriotic population. And I don't believe this guy knows what the hell he's talking about.

I think Paul went a long way to neutralizing the "soft on defense" theme.

Surprisingly, Walker comes off as a lightweight to me in this field, because I'm predisposed to like him.
