15 Religion of peace.

But a petition from the womens' group Equality Now reveals that immigration has put the United States on a list that will be much more difficult for progressive immigration enthusiasts to cheer. A massive influx of immigrants from Muslim-populated countries in Africa and the Middle East has led the group to conclude that more than half a million girls in the U.S. are in danger of having their exposed sexual organs skinned from their bodies.

Errr... the scions of the culture which virtually ended slavery, raised more people out of poverty than any other culture, severely curtailed childhood disease, and - while not ending war - turned war-seekers into pariahs?

Also the culture which invented the automobile, factories, the computer, the space-shuttle, and microwave pizzas?

33 Unfortunately, Mrs. Chupacabras is watching that new Jenner reality show. The only good point is that they show other trannies basically treating him as a useful idiot between a fat dose of SJW'ing.

So, that was kind of fun. The money quote was one of them saying "we only need one big celebrity to come out that his girlfriend is trans , and so what?". Way to really double down on reality there.

63 Here's how one celebrity blog characterizes last night's "I Am Cait" episode:

In last night's episode, the word "privilege" was probably uttered about two dozen times and it was always directed at Caitlyn. Caitlyn has privilege. She doesn't deny it, probably because she really hadn't considered it before a few months ago. Caitlyn-as-Bruce had lived in a bubble of privilege as a wealthy white man, privilege as a celebrity, privilege as a Republican. Caitlyn has been living in a bubble, going through her transition privately and without the help, advice or friendship of other trans women.

I don't even know how to unpack all that. Apparently Jenner should be ashamed for being successful --- for working so damn hard to be an Olympic champion and then parlaying that into long-term wealth. And somehow being a white, male Republican factored into this?

We are nearing (are already there?) Harrison Bergeron times, just with imaginary chains, etc. masquerading as "privilege."

Ya think?

Gary Lucchesi, Co-President of the PGA "stated the California legislature thinks it can buy us off by providing us $330 million of tax credits for our productions and stealing from us our historical rights to our designations. I earned my title of producer. All I ever wanna be is a producer. This bill will steal that from me and my fellow guild members."

However, since the internet is off and fw:fw with it this morning as being real, that should be the last thing Bruce Bialosky writes, if Townhall had any sort of editorial judgement. Fake direct quotes in an article? That could be actionable.

118 39 My recollection of visits to the Hill Country are of rolling rounded hills, not ranges like in the pic. Do bluebonnets grow wild like that out in West Texas by the Davis Mountains / Big Bend? Don't know as haven't been out there yet.

Just curious and relying on faulty memories.
Posted by: Count de Monet at August 03, 2015 10:25 AM (JO9+V)

Yes, there are ranges of hills like that in the Hill Country.

Far west Texas has the mountains. There is a Big Bend bluebonnet that grows out there but usually not is the huge masses seen elsewhere. Big Bend lupine is a bigger plant than the other bluebonnets too.

This spring in the Big Bend area there was an unusual amount of rain and I have a photo like this painting but it's of verbena, not bluebonnets, covering a valley.

Apparently the plastic isn't peeling off completely so bits are left behind and halfwits don't see it, eat the cheese, and can't tell the difference between cellophane and the actual product.

Which, given the quality of the "cheese food substance" isn't that big a stretch.

123 But a petition from the womens' group Equality Now reveals that immigration has put the United States on a list that will be much more difficult for progressive immigration enthusiasts to cheer. A massive influx of immigrants from Muslim-populated countries in Africa and the Middle East has led the group to conclude that more than half a million girls in the U.S. are in danger of having their exposed sexual organs skinned from their bodies.

But diversity! is great because . . . we say it is!

Ever notice how the lefties never explain why diversity is so desirable? It's just a given. Diversity is good because they say it's good. You're never supposed to question the premise. And they never, ever mention the very real costs of diversity, one of which is the increased hostility and social unrest that inevitably occur when different cultures conflict.

"Diversity is our greatest strength . . . and it's also our greatest weakness (but we never mention that last part)."
