Good morning, my fellow rape-shifters. Finished with the Slate gig. It's in the same office as the NY bureau of the Washington Post. When I walk past Lally Weymouth's office and see all the old photos of her and Katherine Graham, I mutter to myself "Tit. Ringer. Some assembly required."

-----
Educations not a game. Its not about I finished first and you finished second, said North Hills Superintendent Patrick J. Mannarino, who was the North Hills High principal when the school got rid of the valedictorian designation in 2009. That high school diploma declares you all winners.
----

The stupid, it burns. It's not a game but we're all winners. That statement right there, in a just world, would have the principal before the board explaining why he shouldn't be fired on the spot.

39 Liberals are now saying air conditioning is bad so use a whole house fan.

I remember the summer in our first house, wife 7 months pregnant, constant 90 degree weather and no air. A whole house fan sounded like the answer.

Of course, I may have oversized from the beginning. Barely avoiding heat stroke installing this massive thing in the attic with the intake being in the main hall to the bedrooms.

When we cranked it up, we had all the windows and door shut. It sucked the soot out of the chimney. The sliding patio doors were impossible to open under the negative pressure.

After stopping the fan and opening a few windows on the opposite end of the house, we started it back up and the door to the bedroom hallway shut itself so hard it knocked it and it's frame out of the wall.

True, it was cooler, but it was like sleeping at the end of a runway while a 747 was preparing to take off.

Do you think the media people know who Cecil Rhodes was? After all, he lived over 100 years ago. About the same time the Constitution was written, according to Ezra Klein.

They do know that white men did all the Bad Things in Africa and all the Bad Things everywhere. But the historical details escape them, since the world really didn't begin until they were born.

The mob's not through with the Dastardly Dentist yet. The Washington Pest says Zimbabwe wants him returned there for trial.

This is a load of bullshit of Choom Boy-esque magnitude. Zimbabwe (and other African nations) are happy to encourage this sort of hunting (or at least tip the hunters the wink) as long as that lovely moolah keeps coming in. Fifty K or so is a lot of coin there, even if it wouldn't get Hillary's attention here.

If they want to ban trophy hunting -- and I wish they would -- then they damn well better do it. As it stands, they are as culpable as the shooter.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (Virginia, Maryland, Carolinas) used to be one of the most steadfastly conservative courts in the federal system. Obama has turned it into a liberal cesspool. Ninth Circuit east. That's a fact.

A whole house fan sits in the ceiling of a hallway between the interior of the house and the attic. It normally has louvers that open when it's on.

It pulls the air through the house and blows it into the attic.

When my wife would walk under the fan, it would pull her dress up to her arms.

Ghost of a Chance

Review: P.W. Singer and August Cole, 'Ghost Fleet: A Novel of the Next World War'

http://freebeacon.com/culture/ghost-of-a-chance/

They have adopted all of Clancy's faults, to be sure---beyond what I've already described, there are the cliched protagonists, the risible coincidences that put the loved ones of said protagonists at risk, the plot twists that are not in the least bit twisty. But they have adopted his strengths, too, and Ghost Fleet is a very creditable Red Storm Rising for the 21st century.

As Chique d'Afrique noted the other day, oridinary Africans are not terribly concerned about lion killing given all the other problems they face. Also, when lions are roaming around and occasionally having your friends and relatives as snacks, well, I can see why you wouldn't see lions as adorably cute and even better than people.

I care less and less about the fucking lion as the days go on. Talk about a first world issue for self-righteous SJWs.

The U.S.

I will never understand how those buses that were sitting there submerged in the water from the financially neglected levy that DEMOCRATS were solely responsible for got ignored/spun into GWB's fault.

It wouldn't have mattered one bit anyway. The media and the foaming rabid left were SO enraged the GWB got elected again, it was bloody war until they got their way.

The second term of GWB was the paradigm shift from upset to down right violently angry for the democrats. Stomped their feet and called for a presidents head. Then, right after that, there was the "culture of corruption" drum beat from the state run media.

But did GWB fight back with facts and reason? Nope. He laid there and allowed himself to be strung up like a pinata. wouldn't want to "stoop to their level" was the excuse. That gave us a decade of our country fighting for its life.

...and the GOP is ready to do it again

244 You know, sometimes (in disgust and loathing) I think about what it takes to make an imbecilic, brain dead, experience free fool leftard like Hector. How does someone get to be old enough to type and be so fucking devoid of original and critical thought? The only answer that comes to me is that they live in a comfortable urban bubble and take every effort to protect the bubble of delusion that constitutes their comfortable and thought free world.
They form their protective bubble with a toxic mix of wishful thinking, delusion about the state of the world, and cognitive dissonance. Take their illogical fear of an inanimate object; firearms. They have no experience with them outside of being assaulted with them via the criminals they make endless excuses for. They cannot be wrong about their excuses, so they hate and fear the inanimate object that symbolizes their cowardice and pants wetting fear. They think being an "outdoorsman" means taking a hike on a super highway trail through some park for a weekend. They are typically urban and therefore have no actual connection nor understanding of nature. They don't have a grasp of actual science either. It is just another tool to support their comfortable bubble of delusion.

Sort of a "stream of semi-consciousness" post. So, to summarize; fuck those stupid sons of bitches. I don't take my thought cues from an idiot.
