Here's from a judge what had him before him a few weeks ago:
"I have somebody who we don't know who he is, why he is in this country, why he is here illegally and why he allegedly committed a murder," Painesville Municipal Court Judge Michael Cicconetti thundered at Razo's arraignment, noting the suspect has no green card, birth certificate or driver's license.
"I can't set a bond high enough," he continued. "How in the hell do I even know it's him?"
Cicconetti later told Fox News he did not understand how federal authorities could have ordered Razo released on July 7 when local deputies questioned him and contacted Border Protection officials, given that no one could even verify his identity.

Lake County is east of Cleveland - Cuyahoga County. Its a pretty quiet place.Not a huge amount of crime but the occasional murder every once in a while. Its a nice place. I tried a couple of cases out their. Nice people. They aren't going to let this go.The perp's cooked. Didn't help him stay out of trouble. Got involved in a post-game on-field riot at the Rose Bowl (not the Rose Bowl game, just the venue, think it was a UCLA game), fought with deputy sheriffs, ended up in the brig in San Pedro (where a school classmate from Glendale working as a cook recognized him in the chow line .....). Then from El Toro to the central Pacific, then Okinawa.

Immigration's an issue that cuts across party lines and has resonance right now - this is the real "crisis" in immigration - the refusal of our government to keep us safe in order to give Dems votes and the CoC cheap labor.
Look at McCain and Romney's bloodless, colorless technocratic policy-obsessed campaigns. Contrast with Reagan, Bill Clinton and Obama. The public doesn't care about the particulars of Rick Perry's bank policy when they don't feel he has a vision. The GOP in general has been utterly lacking in strategic vision and a sense of purpose since the mid-90's and only won with W because the opponents were clown-shoes. The Right needs to re-learn the "vision thing" pronto.

The judiciary (specifically in their legislative, er, imperial, um, I mean "constitutional" outrages) is one of the country's major problems. But the part that deals with investigations etc. like the one up against the IRS may retain *some* actual power *and* integrity.
It's not really an exaggeration. In the husk that was once the greatest system of rule of law ever built on earth, it is literally an open question whether open, histrionic, brazen lawlessness (on extremely serious matters) will even be challenged by a court, any more. As much as the word has lost its impact, it's "unbelievable".
