Jonathan Pollard To Be Released In November

The suggestion has been made that the feds didn't oppose this because Obama is hoping to soothe the Israelis.

Hey, want to hear another coincidence? The US government, which has adamantly refused to release Pollard to the Israelis up to now, didn’t put up any opposition to release with the parole board. The WSJ also notes that the parole hearing turns out to be … quite unusual. As it turns out, he wasn’t due for consideration for another 14 years, but then four weeks ago, something changed.

Ehhh, I can see them doing it because it really matters to Israel and doesn't matter much to Obama. I don't think it's Obama's style to try and placate Israel. He doesn't care that much. And, obviously, this doesn't offset the Iran deal.

"Here, take Pollard, I'm not sorry about the nukes," doesn't really cut it.

4 I heard today that the law when Pollard was sentenced was that life terms got parole consideration after 30 years. The law has since changed, but they are operating under the old rules.

But I have no way of knowing whether any of this is actually correct.....

Here's my reasoning, CBD. Whom he was spying for is irrelevant, because false flag operations abound, so no spy really knows for sure who he's spying for.

Think about it: how hard would it be for, say, the Russians to come up with someone who could pass for Israeli? Half of Israel seems to consist of Russian emigres, amirite? If necessary, just coerce a Russian Jew into conning a Pollard.

So it is imperative not to consider the recipient of the information when punishing a spy. We don't want any prospective spies to think that maybe what they're doing isn't so bad, after all, they're only helping an ally.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at July 28, 2015 07:28 PM (oKE6c)

27 Obama release a spy who damaged America? Why would he hesitate? At all?

I guess it's a bit of a conflict for SCoaMF. He hates Israel/Jews but here's one who spied on America. Lesser of Evils choice is, apparently, to reward the guy who affected America most directly.

Said this on the earlier thread: it's not the release that should concern us, it's the manipulation of the parole board, a supposedly independent agency.

It would make everybody in America poorer. Youre doing away with the concept of a nation state, and I dont think there's any country in the world that believes in that. If you believe in a nation state or in a country called the United States or UK or Denmark or any other country, you have an obligation in my view to do everything we can to help poor people. What right wing people in this country would love is an open border policy. Bring in all kinds of people, work for $2 or $3 an hour, that would be great for them. I dont believe in that. I think we have to raise wages in this country, I think we have to do everything we can to create millions of jobs.

I'm a Jew, fiercely pro-Israel and American unto death. Problem is, Jonathan Pollard is no hero. He sold secrets to the highest interested party and just happened to be Israel.

He should rot in jail the same as Bo Bergdahl. But, optics from the Momzer-in-Chief. Pig-Piss be upon him.

It's a big local news story up here in MA, but maybe you guys saw it too?

A local off-duty cop in street clothes had a raod rage incident because some driver pissed him off while going around a rotary (some of you call them turnabouts, I think, or round-abouts).

But the guy had a dash cam! Why?? Anyway, the off duty threatens to put a hole in his head and then later tells him he's lucky he didn't beat the shit outta him.

It's probably the ubiquity of video cameras. Remember that incident where the cop shot the guy in the back when he was running away, then tried to plant the taser next to his body? That kind of shit has been rumored to have been going on forever. It's nice to see clear and unmistakable evidence of it.

377 Obama is "clever."

In so many ways, he is exactly what Ronaldus said: "It's not that they don't know anything. It's that everything they know is wrong."

Time wounds all heals.

394 All right, listen up people. Our Ewok has been on the run for three days. Average Ewok foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is 2 miles per day. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every strip club, garbage heap, whore house, crack house, henhouse, outhouse and dog house in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive's is Mr. Ace O'Spades. Go get him.

The Cobbers obviously know more than they're telling at this point. For instance, Ewoks may have a functional appendix, and Ace is in desperate need of an appendix transplant.
