Posted by: naturalfake, Internet Zillionaire at July 31, 2015 10:21 AM (KUa85)

63 Richard Fernandez's excellent post on the PP scandal. The end is a kicker:

The people who in the videos merrily describe the prices they can obtain for this or that body part may one day be old and as helpless as the infants they have dismembered. Then they will be in the care of men like themselves. And on that far day these young --- then old --- may want water. On what grounds will they demand it? On what basis will they ask for care, love or compassion?

Perhaps the ultimate argument for the belief in God is history's lesson that we have no reason to expect mercy from men. Our sole hope, illogical as it may seem, in betting that God will have mercy on us is the certainty that Planned Parenthood won't.

And he's goes Godwin earlier in the post - hard not to.

Fernandez is great. And I'm tired of people dismissively saying "Godwin!" whenever someone brings up the Nazis. What about when people are acting like Nazis?

"Godwin's law" which was originally formulated because people (usually the left) were calling their political opponents Nazis for completely trivial reasons has now become a way of dodging the issue - as if the Nazis were a completely unique and separate species and that sort of dehumanization can never occur again. In fact, it has occurred over and over and over again in countless ways since the Third Reich fell.

Worth noting that under the NHS in Britain (per the previous thread, the same Britain which our East Coast mandarinate worship and emulate) they have the infamous Liverpool Care Pathway for the unwell elderly.

The Pathway has been around for a while. But in recent years, the NHS have begun to implement it on patients without even notifying immediate family first. Something of a surprise for those Brits who don't or can't visit their elders twice a week.

139 As I'm led to understand, pregnancy is a massive change in a woman's body. All sorts of things happen once new life kicks in. With abortion, it's like that whole natural process comes to a sudden, screeching halt. The woman's body then goes WTF??!?!?!?!, gears fly off, oil spills, stuff crashes, electrical goes haywire, an entire natural ramping-up suddenly starts ramping ... with nowhere to go.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that the consequences for the woman's body are huge, and often negative.

Sure. People ask how someone like Hitler could rise to power, how on earth Germany went so nuts, so evil. I struggled with this question in my most recent book.

Look at these videos. That's how. You pick a cause and push it no matter what the price, and the step by step corruption into horror is inevitable. Nazis didn't start out wanting to kill all Jews, Slavs, Gypsies, Epileptics, Insane people, etc, etc. They were deporting them, at first.

The first concentration camps were work camps. It was only once they figured out they were just deporting people into areas they were about to take over anyway that they came up with the "final solution."

Its a cascade, one evil follows another, and as your conscience is seared, you lose the ability to judge right and wrong. It all seems so reasonable, and the shock and horror people display is ridiculous to you.

Hmmm... that actually sounds like a brilliant way to launder money...

199 so Facebook suspended a guy for posting the Marine Corps emblem. I don't use the site but I hear these kinds of stories all the time, and its always irritating/enfuriating what Facebook censors think is acceptable versus not acceptable.

When we have the "American Truth And Reconciliation Hearings" in Congress, there should be a special social media propaganda hearing and these arbiters of "community standards" should explain themselves publicly.

205 It's like when John Kerry ordered a cheesesteak with like provolone cheese or something.

Ketchup? On a philly? I bet he puts it on hot dogs too. That's just an abomination.

that's an authentic philly cheesesteak.

And it's actually way better with processed cheese then with normal cheese.

Normal cheese overwhelms steak. Processed cheese is just kind of glue to blob it all together.

I don't eat my cheesesteaks.

But I do hit Geno's (I know, I know, total tourist trap) from time to time when I'm passing through Philly.

The phrase "white racist Margaret Sanger" should be on the lips of every Republican in the upcoming fight over PP funding. It should be hung like an albatross around the neck of every PP supporter and apologist.

But here again, this is another weapon the feckless GOPe halfwits refuse to use.

What you get is you pass this law and I, as president, will do everything possible to go in the other direction,'" Sherman told reporters off the House floor after the meeting.

"He's with the deal -- he's not with Congress," Sherman added. "At least to the fullest extent allowed by law, and possibly beyond what's allowed by law."
