Seen anywhere from $2.36-2.56 the last couple of weeks. With inflation, in July, the middle of the vacation season, that's cheap.

That's a strange one, too. I got back from the Bay Area last Sunday, and gas in Santa Cruz was "only" 3.40/gallon. When I left San Diego even Arco- the cheapest, meanest of brands- was nudging 5.00/gallon.

Gas probably won't start a meaningful decrease in prices until school is back in session. The idiotic rules for formulation and distribution of gasoline here do not help.
