Must Watch: Watch Obama and Kerry Sell Out the US National Security Interest to Iran in Real Time, Twelve Times In a Row

Via David Rutz of the Free Beacon, I've never seen it laid out all like this -- almost all in their own words, as Obama and Kerry make one tough promise on Iran after another (on disclosure of past militarization efforts of nuclear material: "It will be done") only to completely reverse themselves months, or even weeks, later.

AllahPundit pointed to this, and has more, including Steny Hoyer apparently ready to pull the plug on this fascade, which he (correctly) says is just an Iranian rope-a-dope to buy time while they build their Tel Aviv Nuclear Bombs.

Also, be sure to write, telephone, and Tweet at @SenBobCorker to thank him for selling out this nation's future.

Remember, this treaty has already been pre-approved by the GOP, because, in McConnell terms, we'll lose on the actual substance so that we can run on the issue later. Obama only needs 34 Senate votes -- rather than the 67 the Constitution requires, absent a Corker Sell-Out -- and he'll have those, obviously.

Steny Hoyer is a Representative, of course, so that gets us nothing.

Great work from David Rutz.

Share this with your friends and family. Obama is giving Iran the nuke -- and almost the entirety of the GOP abetted him in this -- and there's nothing that can stop that now.

But let everyone know what's coming, and who did it.

Just to mention this personal note again: This was my break with the GOP, this is when I wrote them off not only as unreliable allies but actual enemies.

They sold us out on Iran -- for what? For what?

Oh right-- we'll lose the vote but then we get to gin up the base and run on the issue later.

Corker couldn't have put together this travesty working solo.

In fact, add an additional count of treason to the charges against Congress, as they have had both cause and innumerable opportunities to impeach President Historic FirstŠ and have failed to do so. Not for partisan reasons, but because the Muzzie-loving fuckweasel has broken the law countless times.

Oh, and this is also the direct result of the cries of "Bad Optics!" from surrender-eating cheese monkeys among the Conservative Pundit Elites like Poppin' Fresh....

98 Now let me be clear: we will be tough on Iran only after they have proven irresponsible with nuclear weapons. Now, some may say the Iranian people have no right to defend themselves; others may say every Iranian should have a personal nuclear bomb. I believe in the middle path--that Iran should have *some* nuclear capability, which I am sure will be used only for good.

180 I (and a lot people here, I'm sure) have insisted from even before Obama took office, that he had radical designs on this country. People even on the right, wouldn't allow themselves to believe that a sitting president would do this to the country.

The real sad truth about any of this is that half, or nearly half of the country like what is happening to the country and want more. Much more.

We on the right see ourselves being betrayed by both sides of the political spectrum and we are imagining even revolution might be necessary to save the country.

What a lot of us fail to see, I believe, is that the other half, the half that wants more of this, also want revolution, revolution to get the rest faster. And to be honest, they are closer to getting what they want than we are to getting what we want.

The big difference is that our side believes in the second amendment.

They will try to do something about this and it won't be subtle. That's my bet.

If that were the case then there was no need to go along with the charade.

Yes, noting that the sanctions he wants removed are those that, by law, he can waive.

Good point, we could just let him do it unilaterally and take the fall. That might have been better politically.

I guess where I stand is... I do not want Iran to get the bomb, period. While not the best political move, at least there is a (albeit small) chance the Senate can reject the "executive agreement". I think having that chance was worth losing a bit politically.

279 There is a story about a rabbi from one of the towns in Poland who after each and every atrocity and degradation from the Germans proclaimed "G-d will come and save us." Finally at the moment where he and his fellow Jews were being led into the gas chamber at Treblinka, as they looked desperately to him for an answer, he said "there is no G-d."

288 You forget. The President did not need to go through Congress with this. He could, legally, do this all unilaterally. None of us agree with this, but the fact remains this is not considered a treaty, it is legally an executive agreement. Corker and the GOP has no leverage.

------

Agree and disagree. Obama does not get to define what a treaty is and isn't. The Senate GOP could have taken the position that any agreement negotiated between Iran and US is a treaty (I'd argue that is correct). They did not. Executive agreements are a way for the Senate to dodge taking any accountability. Though I'm sure there are some things that are immaterial and may not rise up to the definition of a treaty. A deal with Iran is not one of those things.

Corker and most of the GOP is counting on the voters to either not know or not care about whether the Constitution is followed in this regard. I'd say they are right.

I am still of a mind that the minimum acceptable course of actions is that he (Corker) MUST resign his position on the foreign relation committee due to his absolute ignorance of his constitutional responsibilities. Actually he should resign from the Senate, again for his ignorance to his responsibilities.

Every time the (heh) RNC calls to beg me for money or support I ask them at what point will Corker resign his position? That would be a first step to convincing me to consider supporting the RN-anything.

Corker is just the start; but he is a highly visible talisman that I think we (the general we, actually not just conservatives, but pretty much most citizens) could get behind having him removed through public pressure.

Unbelievably, just about the only thing gaining in support faster than socialism is anti-Semitism (or so it seems to me).

The way it looks to me, if they can basically undermine the values that withstood for over 200 years, in a few short years, they can totally undermine this country's support for Israel in an even shorter time. The left is almost all there now. Get a few sellouts like Corker to step up and start agitating, a significant segment of the right might just join them.

Right now, it may not sound possible, but look what has been done and how quickly it has happened.

Doing X in return for Y sounds like an agreement of sorts. You can argue that any new agreement is tantamount to being a treaty. Just because a prior act gave the President such power does not remove the treaty consent power of the Senate. I do not care what the acts themselves say. Its the Constitution that matters. The Senate GOP could have said any new arrangement is a treaty requiring 2/3 approval. Obama could take your position. Its a political question. Throw it to the people.

Do you think Jen Psaki and Marie Harf have any knowledge of the Iranian hostage crisis? They went through the US school system and each graduated from US colleges, where history is only taught that the US is racist, bigoted, imperialistic and warmongering.

The latest mouthpiece, John Kirby, might recall, since he taught at the Naval Academy, but I'm not putting my money on it.

SH is right, there is a lot of gray area on treaties vs. executive agreements with foreign countries/entities, all of it pre-dating Obama and actually "real" (i.e., not brazen lawlessness like much of Obama's behavior, and SCOTUS behavior).

But this is a case where the substance completely overshadows the procedural questions, legit as they are.

Unserious country. There's a reason many of us have been using this description, and for years (and not just starting in 200.

We are watching (have been watching) a deliberate, slow-motion trainwreck, self-inflicted, regarding absolutely top-level national security issues. Iran has been the most effective, most dangerous, most blood-soaked enemy of the US for going more than a generation (and no, to the large unserious contingent here, that doesn't yield chimpanzee logic of "we should have invaded Iran instead! eleventy! derp!").

The laboriously constructed (improbably, really) scaffolding of harrassment/containment on the nuke program had and was yielding results. Which doesn't mean Bush didn't wrongly kick the can down the road by not striking back in his second term, but anyway. And - thrown away. A bloodsoaked, determined, hyper-active enemy of the US and all our partners/allies/cooperative neutrals, given billions of $$$ and a de facto clear path to nukedom.

It's not just the GOP. The same country that won the Cold War has not a single institution, clique, constituency, faction, or tendency of any importance to stand up to this insanity. Not a serious country.

You pointed this out a awhile back and it made me change my mind on what I thought of the Corker bill. While I don't agree with the strategy( I would have called Obam's bluff) I understand why they did what they did. Unfortunately we would have been no worse off now if we would have rejected the bill.

The Iranian Hostage Crisis started over 35 years ago. The core of
the Obama cult wasn't even born then. The 'let's defeat ideologies with
IDEAS' crowd didn't forget about the hostages. They don't know (or don't
care) about them. That's ancient history to today's kiddies.
----------------
The "defeat ideologies with ideas" zombies were taught and encouraged in their idiocy by the people who supported Carter while he asked Iran to pretty please release the hostages for the umpteenth time while they laughed at him and paraded the hostages on TV to shame us in front of the entire world. The Blame America Firsters have willingly stood between the USA and Iran, preventing a much-needed attitude adjustment from 1979-2009. Then Obummer got elected, the Iranians rose up thinking he would save them, and he shrugged and said "not my problem" before heading off to the golf course. The situation we are in right now is what Obummer and the idiots who taught the idiot kids have wanted for all these years.

364 "Oh right-- we'll lose the vote but then we get to gin up the base and run on the issue later."

And then do what? They "run on the issue" and never do anything. They ran on Obamacare, did nothing. Ran on illegal immigration, did nothing. Wait -- they enabled the actual policies they claimed to run against. So they really did do something. My mistake.

365 Obama is giving Iran the nuke -- and almost the entirety of the GOP
abetted him in this -- and there's nothing that can stop that now.

Not true. Israel has developed and tested the high-velocity penetrating weapon (HVPW), which was used in Yemen on April 20, 2015--Hitler's birthday!

It's a hypersonic bunker buster that we've been working on since 2011. The IDF beat us to it.

The videos show Yemeni cameramen knocked off their feet by the shock wave from 1.5 miles away.

Don't worry. Do some research. The IDF is preparing to destroy Hezbollah and take out Iran's nuclear program. The US no longer has any influence over Israel.

If I know the Israelis, they'll launch the attack as Obama is announcing that a deal has been made. It's going to be magnificent.

366 Still persisting with the lies and slander against Corker and the GOP.

Once more, on the off chance any casual reader gives a damn about the truth:

OBAMA WAS NEVER GOING TO SUBMIT THIS AS A TREATY.

Go back before the negotiations began in 2013. He has been consistent on the point, and there is no way to force him to - absent 67 votes in the Senate and 290 in the House to override his veto.

Without the Corker bill, Congress would have NO SAY at all. Check it out yourself. Do some actual research. Don't rely on dishonest lunatics.

367 My exit polling shows Flynn winning 100% to zero. But I was the only one there. 30 votes all day so far (including Democrats) out of seven hundred something registered in this district. This is rural, but I'm guessing low turnout may favor Flynn.

372 What can stop this is a R president who flat says that having not ben ratified in the positive sense that is approved by 67 senators , it is no treaty . And whatever it is , it is not a treaty . For feel good purposes , I suppose this R president could then submit the text , if said text ever exists , for ratification . It would be nice to see which D 's endorse giving nukes to the mullahs . Alternatively , we can wait for the mushroom clouds .Or regime change , blockades casus belli stuff . Either way a couple of million dead .
