In Britain, Teachers Are Running "Lunchbox Inspections," Searching for, Confiscating Food Deemed "Unhealthy"

COMPLY:

They'll lay you down in a muddy ditch and shoot you in the back of the head before they let you make any unhealthy decisions that might risk your good health.

Teachers are free to take - and keep - any item from pupils' lunchboxes if they think they are unhealthy or inappropriate, the government has said.

Parents were outraged last month when it emerged children had scotch eggs and a Peperami confiscated under health eating policies.

Now ministers have backed the move, giving staff freedom to 'confiscate, keep or destroy' anything deemed to break school policies and setting out the procedure for carrying out lunchbox inspections.

...

Vikki Laws, of Colchester, said her daughter Tori, six, was not allowed to eat her Peperami sausage snack, which was confiscated and only returned at the end of the day with a note from teachers.

She said another parent was also told her child was not allowed to have scotch eggs in her lunch box.

This is, of course, coming to America, courtesy of La Obama.

Someone once wrote a Letter of Complaint about this sort of behavior:

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

This is a full on advancement of the Nanny State ruling our lives right down to the lowest level.

Something not noted here, but which probably ought to have been, is that the Peperami product to which the school objected is a pork sausage, hence haram to Muslims.

So the school telling the student they couldn't have the pork sausage on "health" grounds is probably about as reliable a claim as was the "safety" ban on American flags at certain Stateside schools recently.

114 Teach your kids that if a school authority figure demands to see what's in the lunchbox, not to give it to them.

If the authority figure tries to physically take it from the kid, tell the kid to drop to the floor, curl up, and scream as loud as possible, "BAD TOUCH!!! BAD TOUCH!!! BAD TOUCH!!!" until the cops arrive.

Then as a parent, you demand to have the doll be brought out by the police investigator. Show us where the person touched you, okay?

I absolutely guar-on-tee that no school employee will ever again get within ten feet of that kid.

When people needed to escape communism, grinding poverty, or war, they came to America.

They had a place to go to. Where do we go?

I realize that this post should rightly be in the expat post, but I need to point out one little thing.....

Grrrrrrrrr.

Flashing back here to 2012, when Mitt Romney ran a grand total of zero (0) ads talking about the all time record rate of gasoline price inflation under King Putt.

Even in Commiefornia, believe it or not, the "pain at the pump" issue gets huge political traction. At one point we actually had a slight majority of the state's voters say that they would vote for offshore oil drilling (normally utterly taboo) if prices went any higher than they were.

The problem with nominating guys for President who have net worths of hundreds of millions of dollars is that, whereas we ordinary schmucks look at the prices on the gas station sign and curse bitterly, they instead look at that sign and merely see a rounding error. Pocket change.

They don't grab onto issues like food and fuel prices and use them politically because they _literally don't perceive it as an issue_ themselves.

Not only that, but the measure of such a factor has been skewered by the false metrics that "weigh" it.

So far, no friction, and when we do see each other, everyone is cordial. So, "good neighbors." That may change at some point in the future, but right now...

319 In most third world shitholes the cost of food is the number one expense for the populace. People have to eat first and foremost. The availability of food is the number one means of controlling people. Not that I would suspect our overlords to be dastardly or anything.

When I go to the grocery store, I cringe at all the things that were half the current price about three or four years ago.

Fucking out-of-touch, out-of-control politicians. Ain't a fucking one of them worth pissing on. They won't even address that shit or even act like there's anything wrong with the economy.

My AOSHQ tshirt from back in the day was ordered as a large or XL and once washed turned into a smallish medium. How utterly expected.

The shirt looked really good on one of our regulars at the time, a girl who went by .... oh, what was it. It wasn't Tits McGee... But it was a unique name. Who the hell was it again??

419 Funny you chose a "comply" sign, because given the Obamacare, gay marriage, and Section 8 court decisions, that's the word that's been on my mind for a week now. That's the movement conservatives need to launch. We will not comply. It should be on bumper stickers and T-shirts. It should be the last words we say on every internet post. "Civil disobedience" is all very well, but we're resisting a tyrannical bureaucracy. Noncompliance is the perfect fuck-you to a bureaucracy.

426 OMG, OMG.

The Utah SJWs have been screaming and wailing these last few weeks, due to the gay guy in SLC that had the words "Die F*g" carved into his arm. Because hate crime, right?

Turns out according to Drudge, the guy did it to himself to get attention from family, and then other unconnected people heard about it and blew it up into national news.

Apparently the guy is undergoing medical treatment. THANK GOODNESS ONE OF THESE CRY WOLF CRAZIES IS. FINALLY. I thought something was weird when the initial reports said this happened ages ago, but the family never brought it to attention of the authorities. Sounds like we now know why! Guy says he is glad this happened to shed light on the issues. Yeah the issue is you are cray cray and need help!

438 Had this British reporter kid on the border with the Minutemen in 2008. He was a serious ubama fanboi. We were sitting there on a drug trail and he asked if I had anything to eat. I gave him some beef jerky. He went on and on about how good it was, and where I got it. After telling him to stfu, I said you can get it at any jiifymart or seveneleven. They don't have it in the isles, I suppose. Poor bastards.
