Another shard of evidence that Bill and Hillary are not really a married couple in the way that the rest of us would normally think of the state of marriage, and she herself quietly doesn't think of herself that way either.
Her personal distaste for Bill is so strong that she uses one surname in public where it's advantageous (married, his) and another surname (maiden, hers) in private.
Bill and Hillary are two strangers who don't even like each other very much. Wedded, but only by the mutually supportive pursuit of wealth and political power. And the "marriage" that they are in is instead something more along the lines of a limited-liability partnership.

A fax machine saved me from a huge headache once. I ordered a camera from some company in New Jersey that had good online reviews. They charged my card immediately, but 30 days later the camera still hadn't shipped.
I started emailing them. Dead silence. No response. I started calling them. Answering machine. No response.
I got a lawyer to fax them a letter saying basically, "You knucleheads took my money, either ship the camera now, give me my money back, or face fraud charges."
I got a response within an hour that they had refunded the money.

For them, this is just a woman being strong and taking it to the system. For them, this is not a problem at all, because she shouldn't have to put up with men causing her problems in the news. They DO NOT CARE.
In fact, there's not one single piece of information which would stop a Hillary voter from pulling that lever in November. When they get there, they will see Hillary vs a man and squeal "grrrl power!"
And for those kind of on the fence or disgusted by the thought of putting a Clinton back in the White House... When they see the candidate with the "D" next to their name against the candidate with the "R" against their name, they'll 'reluctantly' pull the lever for Hillary.
The only thing that could possibly stop this is if Hillary had another, massive stroke and was unable to continue in the race. Especially if it was on camera in a very stressful moment like a debate.
Then you know what would happen? No matter what the law says, no matter what the deadlines are or how short a time before the election, a judge would rule that the Dems can just select a candidate without any primary votes and put them in her place. And that candidate wins by sympathy vote. We've seen it before.

Whatever the State thinks about whether an email is legally binding or not (which, per SCOTUS, could change overnight, just 'cause), email is more secure, and I'm better able to retain an easily accessible copy for my own records (easier to store on disk than in a filing cabinet).

$40 million commercial proposals can be sent electronically in a 40-page PDF, however.

Even the older ones had an analog buffer, remember they would store the various pages before hitting the POTS. Additionally, they stored this to redial if your machine didn't pick-up. Powering the unit down might not have been enough to clear those buffers - esp. if you didn't disconnect the POTS, which carried enough current to keep the dialer hot.

You can lock a PDF file so it's very hard to do a MITM attack between sending and receiving. If you're really paranoid you can encrypt the email and cryptographically sign it to verify it's not been tampered with outside your purview.

On a serious note, is that a wise idea? From what I have been reading over the last few years my guess is that before the attack the FBI will ignore you and after the attack they will arrest you because you obviously had some connection to it.
If you keep your mouth shut and your head down, the authorities are less likely to notice you and the misfortunes that follow from being noticed are less likely to befall you.

Which gives me a segue to my plan for Israel to solve its problems, rescue Greece from its financial disaster, bail out the European banks and save the Euro.
The Dodecanese islands are owned by Greece but located near the shore of Turkey. There are something like 28 of these islands. Israel should buy the islands from Greece for however much it would cost to bail out the Greek central bank. The current inhabitants can stay where they are, move to Israel or move to somewhere in Greece. Then Israel can deport the entire Palestinian population to the Dodecanese Islands. In short order, there will probably be something like 28 separate warring Palestinian nations. Israel can then settle the rest of the West Bank and bulldoze Gaza flat before beginning construction of sea side condos that can be sold to northern Europeans and the funds from that being used to retire the debt incurred to bail out the Greeks.

I'm not singing his praises, but he lowered capital gains taxes, expanded trade, lowered regulations, cut spending, etc. A pretty centrist record once Republicans took Congress.
I wouldn't call him a good PResident in the sense that most of the peace and prosperity had zero to do with him, but there is something to be said about not breaking it.
Again, didn't like him but he didn't have any crazy ideas about transforming America into some Cuban "paradise" like Obama does.

People have smart phones on which they get work emails. If you don't have their phone number to hand (or don't want to deal with a phone call) and they're already out of the office, sending an email is no different than sending a text "Hey, pick me up some iced tea - your boss."

There was that triumph of triangulation, "ending welfare as we know it," where Republicans had been for years calling for welfare reform, Clinton and Dick Morris realized it polled well, Clinton stole the issue, and took all the credit.
Welfare spending in absolute terms remained right about the same level from the start of the Clinton presidency to the end of it. Welfare spending actually did go down slightly in per capita terms, a few percent. Yay!
However, at the same time, federal *disability* benefit spending exploded, as liberals changed the rules to favor applicants for long-term disability coverage. People losing welfare coverage gamed the system to get LT disability payments instead.
So basically what happened was a quiet shift from one form of Big Government dependency to another form of it.

Thermite is particularly easy to make. I used to do the thermite reaction - on a large scale - as a lecture demonstration. Nothing to it.
And you're right about the point of terrorism being psychological, something that escapes the leftists who in the W Iraq War era used to pooh-pooh 3000 dead on 9/11 as a trivial fraction of the population. One vial of a chemical or biological warfare agent in a passageway at the Super Bowl would freak out the country. The soccer moms would shit their pants and demand TSA-style pat-downs for anyone proposing to enter a movie theater or any other public venue. We can't take a punch any more, and the enemy knows it.

When my first mid-term paper came back to me my first semester, I found out that my Arabic background had created difficulties in my writing that I needed to overcome. For example, in Arabic, we do not have possessives.
If you look at any of my writing for my family's Al Quaeda monthly you see that my writing in arabic is just perfect. Also, you try to type out emails while your husband is running around the house naked taking pictures of his wang in every mirror he can find. Its' not easy.

He signed a ton of good legislation, such as welfare reform, a balanced budget, etc. He did cut some government excess in the executive department as well. Most of what you can credit President Clinton for originated in congress, but he signed the bills which he could have vetoed and they didn't have the numbers to overturn. He deserves some credit there.
The man was a leftist, but not as screaming hard extremist left as Hillary. He was an opportunist but not as extremist a total greed-wracked maniac as Hillary. My biggest problem with President Clinton was that he was wholly unfit for dog catcher, let alone president because of his horrendous character and behavior.

I heard that. Especially if the Jihadi Joes are willing to blow themselves to Kingdom Come to take out an FBI office and everyone in it. One guy with a bomb vest can easily open a hole for his buddies to rush in and gun down dazed unarmed office personnel. (No guns in a Federal Building except for LEO types who have all the armor and heavy stuff locked up.) All regional FBI offices are located in Federal Buildings in major urban centers, so the number of armed responders on the premises is finite until the city police can establish a cordon and hunker down for the SWAT teams. Even if the gunmen don't make it to the FBI office per se, the blood, smoke, and panicky crowds played non-stop on the cable news will give them what they want.
