Think fast. I'm not entirely certain there's much time left. When one of Gibbon's descendants writes about the Decline and Fall of the American Empire, he will probably be able to date the exact moment when Shit Got Real to June, 2015. There might be a few brief periods -- I'm thinking weeks or, at best, months -- when sanity prevails, but they will end. And we may see Choom Boy carrying out Bombin' Billy Ayers's wish to snuff a whole bunch of American citizens....

What brought it home (as if other events hadn't made the disaster clear) for me was something I saw on Facebook this morning: a photo of Choom Boy with a text saying that opposing the president and wanting him to fail is TREASON. When that kind of thing appears, you can pretty well depend on old-fashioned stuff like "laws" and "civilization" not offering you much protection.

WASHINGTON - President Obama unveiled a long-awaited plan to drastically expand the number of people eligible for overtime pay, in a move that he said would ensure 'hard work is rewarded' -- but that critics warn could hurt job growth at a fragile time.

Under the proposal unveiled late Monday, salaried workers who earn nearly $1,000 per week would become eligible for overtime pay.

If Hillary sold our uranium mines and did various favors for foreign governments for personal gain, if Obama is trying to give Iran the bomb when their Ayatollah said "death to America" during negotiations, then they are traitors and it is required by patriotism to oppose them.

285 Michigan's upper peninsula is where I would ideally prefer to live out the Burning Times.

That's a lot closer to me actually. My sister lived in MI for many years and always used to visit the UP. She loved it.

291 Will we invest in programs that would help educate our children, maintain our roads and bridges, and train our workers for the high-paying jobs of the future?

What high-paying jobs in what future? We were told back in '09 that 10% UE and a stagnant economy was The New Normal.

Naturally, the idea of having a robust, free-market economy with a wealth of diversity of opportunity for all never seems to occur to them. It's always More Government All The Time for those imbeciles.

Yes, the kind of military coups and dictatorships used to be unthinkable here. Patriotism was too ingrained in the military.

They want to switch soldiers' (and everyone's) loyalty to abstract leftist ideals, away from loyalty to American citizens as such, so that the leader who embodies those ideals (ie. Obama) will be able to command them to do anything, and they will do it, no matter how horrible.
